New maps and mechanics with Easy Red 2

Since releasing Easy Red 1 as a zero-budget project, my skills as a developer have grown over the years.
Plus I finally have the resources to make Easy Red the game I've always wanted to develop.
Early Access development is proceeding incredibly fast: At the moment since release about 40 days ago, I have released more than 10 major updates.
It certainly won't be the same game that was the first chapter;
I am in fact bringing new environments, battles, armies and above all mechanics.

I advise you to at least take a look at it, also if you own a copy of the first game, you can buy Easy Red 2 at a reduced price (And we are already talking about a little more than the price of a coffee!)

Easy Red 2 Development Update

Hello again!

We are doing big progresses with the game, currently working on:
-Planning and realizing Anzio map.
-Writing a new FPS and AI system.
-Writing a new Animation system.
-Writing a new inventory system [1].
-Improving our graphical targets.
-Writing everything from zero with a lot of attention to the optimization.

Easy Red 2: Development log

Good morning.
Here is some information on the development status of Easy Red 2.


  • It will probably take place in 2 big maps: Anzio coast and Tarawa. If this is confirmed, there will be at least a landing mission in both maps. New interesting maps could anyway be added as DLC (Something like grece could be very interesting).
  • It will have a very advanced mission editor compared to Easy Red 1.
  • There will be many new mechanics including squad management.
  • Graphics and animations will be totally revised.
  • It will take about 8 months of work, or maybe more.

EASY RED 2 - Development Topic

Hello to everyone!

I am happy to announce that a new version of Easy Red is in development.
Next version will be released at least on PC and Nintendo Switch - keep this in mind for considerations about hardware limitations when you post your ideas.
Easy Red focus his mechanics around a realistic battles simulations offline (and maybe, next title online too? how?) where soldiers tries to react in a realistic way to combat scenarios, where player can have a solid management of every bullet in his inventory, and where weapon management try to be as accurate as possible.
All of this in big battles where you can be every single soldier on the battlefield experiencing how the key to survive is actually fighting with caution and strategies.

We want to keep the exact same ideas and bring them to the next level.


We have a lot of new ideas for next re-made from scratch title, for example:

  • A new improved First Person view and animations management.
  • New modern details such as foot placement on the ground, and responsive animations.
  • Totally new and more realistic management of the troops, adding a squad-based system where an officer will give orders to infantry inside a squad to coordinate fights. Player will of course be able to play as soldier that must follows orders and squad commander as well.
  • Improvements in graphics and optimizations to be able to handle many more units in a fight.
  • Adding of new soundtracks to make the fights even more intensive.


We will enlarge this list with your suggestions!

Also we need to decide where this will take place. We will consider everything, from totally historical accurate campaigns to more story-based scenarios.

Easy Red 2

Hi.

The development of "Easy Red 2" has oficially started.

Actually, "Easy Red" will not the title of the game.
This reason is due to several graphical innovations that the game will gain, changing a lot the aspect of the product. Also, it will be totally rivisited to achieve a stable, defininded, good-looking game.
Several new ideas and AI improvements will be performed.
