No vids lately! No excuse, other than that I've been busy -- but here's an update:

We are hard at work getting Ectolibrium looking slimier than ever. Expect a visual upgrade in April, as planned -- hopefully EARLY April -- and then a delayed features update, including Eld's Grotto, in the months to come.
... oh right, and the episodes. We need to finish those.

Devlog 22
... and we're back! Had a couple weeks of mold-induced illness to contend with, but things should be back on track now. I'm either alive, or a fairly functional state of undead. Should resume weekly devlog schedule.
Graphical updates continue.
Grotto development underway.
Price change or sale soon, depending on what Valve approves.

This week, I go over our plans for the first Auxiliary Release in broad strokes, and show a quick preview of the graphical upgrades in store for April...
We're trying to maximize that "icky squishy fun" our first players responded well too, while simultaneously taking measures to address criticisms of the first release.
Take a look here!

Devlog 20
I've made weekly devlogs throughout much of Ectolibrium's development. Now that the game is up on early access, I'll start posting those here as announcements. Check them out if you're interested.
This week goes over the early access release, initial reception, future plans, and how to access the leaderboards!

Note: Webcam and mic upgrade soon -- I know this is fairly low fidelity.
Ectolibrium Episode One Available Now!
So, we just released Episode One into the wild! Or, more accurately, into the guarded yard of Early Access where we can watch over it like a neurotic helicopter-parents. But hey, it's out there. You can play it. You SHOULD play it.
Buy it, please...
But -- what are you buying?
1) Most obviously, you're buying 10 playable levels. That's just a taste of Ectolibrium. Roughly an hour of gameplay in a straight-shot playthrough, with significantly more playtime if you choose to revisit and master the content. (There's a score system, and leaderboard integration, so hopefully we can all have fun competing during that mastery process!)
2) You're buying the REST of Ectolibrium, which isn't yet finished. That's the norm with Early Access of course -- but with Ectolibrium, we're taking an episodic approach, which we hope gives players a clear sense of what to expect, and when. By picking up Episode One, you're also gaining access to Episodes 2 and 3, and a fair amount of auxiliary content we intend to inject into the game over time.
Check out our roadmap for a sense of where we're headed!
3) You're buying a VOICE in Ectolibrium's development. User feedback throughout development is one of our main reasons for choosing Early Access. Please, take advantage of this. We hope you play the game and love it. We also hope you find things to complain about, and get inspired with whacky new ideas we never thought of. Let us know on the Steam Community hub, our DIscord server, or by email to nate@ectolibrium.com -- we will listen to your suggestions and very likely get back to you!
