The next update is right around the corner! We have lots of new and exciting features currently in development, but this update has some major features the community has requested. Plus, we’ll give you a little teaser about another feature everyone is excitedly waiting for… But first!
How does it work?
The Bestiary is one of our most requested features by the community, and we’re glad to give you a first glance today! The Bestiary notes every monster you’ve defeated and collects it all in one place.
The Bestiary contains:
The monster’s description -- learn more about the creatures of Eden!
Its danger level
Its Elemental Type (Physical, Electric, Fire, Corrosive, or Radiation)
And more importantly, its Elemental Resistances and Weaknesses
Roam across Eden to discover every creature and defeat them to unlock their data! Don’t forget some creatures only appear during sieges. Gotta collect ’em all!
Mastery
Together with the Bestiary, we’ve added a Mastery System. By defeating large amounts of monsters, you’ll receive additional rewards. It can be really worth it to kill some tough monsters!
This feature is important for future development in the game, however, some of the rewards will not be in the update. We’ve added it anyways, so you can get a head start on earning those rewards, like equipment! When the feature is complete, those rewards will automatically unlock for you!
There are three mastery levels for each monster: Novice, Adept, and Master. Each milestone has its own reward, like a new piece of equipment or better personal stats. Of course, each monster comes with its own rewards and you receive mastery points when a monster dies near you.
That’s it for now! We really hope you’ll enjoy the Bestiary! You can take part in the discussions or just give us suggestions on the Community Hub of Steam or our Discord. With your help, we will continue to make Eden Rising the best it can be!
Oh, wait! You wanted a sneak peek at something, didn’t you? We don’t yet have an ETA for you on this secret feature, but the community has been asking, and we are working on it right now!
Come closer! Are you ready? We're working on... controller support!
Update Preview - Mysterious ruins will appear in Eden Rising!
Greetings Wardens,
Thank you for your support and your interest in Eden Rising. We hope you're enjoying the Game Changer Update. As always, we're listening for your feedback!
In the meantime, we wanted to give a little sneak peek into the next update!
When you're out exploring Eden, very soon, you will come across mysterious ruins. What is their purpose? Who built them? What were they before, and how long have they been here? Alongside these massive ruins, some glowing cubes seem to contain a record...
You’re now the guardian of these lands, but don’t forget Eden has existed long before you. Your power comes from the enigmatic Ascendants. At one time, they ruled Eden -- what changes have they made to this place? The temptation is too strong, you are drawn to the cubic archive… Suddenly a flash, and... knowledge comes to you. These cubes are their memories, the distant record of an Ascendant’s voice.
Some mysterious new places have been added to Eden! Go and explore them to discover what lies behind these ruins! It seems there is more to Eden's past than ever before. And not all of them seem to be related to the Ascendants...
A brand new menu will gather your findings for easy record-keeping.
We hope you'll enjoy the newest features in our next update, and your ongoing feedback is greatly appreciated! You can take part in the discussions or just give us suggestions on the Community Hub of Steam or our Discord.
