This yearly festival has tons of new temporary content for Einlanzer! Celebrate the defeat of Yvalak 841 years ago with the citizens of Fusilier!
Experience an all new Haunted House in Castle Fusilier!
Obtain several brand new powerful magic items!
Trick-or-Treat all over the kingdom for candy to use for magic items!
Search for the mysterious ghosts who have been seen around the kingdom.
The celebration is going on now, but it will end promptly at midnight on Nov. 7th! So get in there and get those once-in-a-lifetime unique magic items before the opportunity has passed!
Seasonal Event Yvalakoween is Coming!
The annual Fusilier celebration of the victory over Yvalak 841 years ago is coming again soon! The celebration will start October 24th and last through Nov. 7th (two weeks).
Every year features completely new content than the previous year's Yvalakoween celebration. Expect to search for hidden ghosts across Fusilier for unique rewards, and the yearly haunted house in Castle Fusilier will lead to a brand new terrifying series of events for one of the Swordbearers.... Which Swordbearer will be subject to the evils of the haunted house this year? What will he/she have to go through? Is it actually happening or just in the unfortunate Swordbearer's head?
Also, Einlanzer will be on sale in the middle of the festival for its lowest price ever, so if you have any friends who haven't experienced this epic game yet, now's a great time to let them know about it!
Einlanzer Price Drop!
Hello Adventurers,
Now you can get a massive, epic classic role-playing experience for even less! Einlanzer's price has just been permanently lowered to only $3.99. The OST (Original Soundtrack) has also been lowered to $1.99.
Our next game tentatively titled "Diaspora" has been our main focus the last few months. New calendar events will still happen for Einlanzer, but the "Einlanzer Stories" $.99 DLC will probably be put on hold for now.
Diaspora has about 6 hours of polished, balanced gameplay. All of the game mechanics, abilities, stats, and character progression is in place. About 2/3 of the story has been written. Now we just have to make more game!

Update v.1.215
Hello adventurers!
Welcome to Einlanzer version 1.215! This isn't a major update. It mostly fixes a few bugs and/or suggestions from the discussions board. There are a couple small gameplay additions as well, though.
Changes for Einlanzer v.1.215
There is a new hidden area accessible as soon as you have your ship. It is on the far east side of the map. Look for an igloo on a snowy island.
New weapon! Obtained from the igloo mentioned above, you can find a new weapon called "Shatter." This is a spear that has a unique effect. It has a 25% chance of inflicting the "Frostbite" status effect on anyone it hits. This status effect makes a target take DOUBLE physical damage and have 1/2 speed. This weapon can be a valid strategic choice through the whole game.
There is a new, additional story event for Ratt when he visits the charred remains of his house south of Alabaster. The new event is only accessible after achieving Ascension in Canaan.
Obtained from the story event mentioned above, there is a new accessory called "Mother's Momento." This unique accessory lowers damage from Fire, Ice, and Lit damage by 33%, protects against instant death attacks and spells, and raises the Magic Def, Luck, and HP stats.
The difficulty of the two battles at the top of Tier Tower have been lowered (Master Tierian Mages and General Baiz). Both enemy types have had their speed, Attack, Magic Attack, and HP lowered slightly.
Lastly, a couple small typos have been fixed in this version.
Please don't hesitate to post any concerns or glitches in the discussion boards. I will do my best to address and fix any and all concerns mentioned.
As always, please take a moment to review Einlanzer on Steam. It helps tremendously.
Happy adventuring!

Einlanzer Expansion - Developer wants your input!
Hello everyone! Nostalgia Addict Games is in development of a completely new and massive game, but it is still at least a year away. In the meantime, apart from regular updates and seasonal events for Einlanzer, I am planning on doing one or more expansions for Einlanzer called "Einlanzer Stories".
Einlanzer Stories will be only $.99 each and will be much shorter than Einlanzer. They will focus on some of the main characters' back story before the events of the main game. The content will dive more deeply into the character's motivation for joining the Swordbearers and major events that led to them being who they are.
I want your input! Which of the stories below would you most like to see?
- The death of Victor's parents and how he joined the Swordbearers
- The story of Galadin and Abel meeting, falling in love, and Galadin recruiting Abel to be a Swordbearer
- The events that led to Finn taking over leadership of his Thieves' Guild.
Please post your thoughts below!
Update - Brand New Side Quest! (v. 1.214)

One of the most requested things players ask for in the Einlanzer discussion board is more side quests! Last week was the release of the new alchemy side quest in God's Grove in Canaan, this week you get a brand new ancient sunken fort to explore!

Epic story of ancient hero read via tablets

April Fool's Calendar Event, New Side Quest, New Features, and more!
Welcome to Einlanzer version 1.212!
Foolish Fool's Day calendar event
Riddari's annual Foolish Fool's Day Festival is here! A brand new foolish event has been added for this year's holiday with unique rewards that are ONLY available during THIS YEAR'S event! Next year will have new unique prizes.
The event ends at midnight EST on April 8th, so go talk to the jester in Riddari to play before this calendar event is over!
Updates with v.1.212
You spoke and we listened! Based on player feedback, there are several gameplay updates with this patch. Every change is detailed below.
New Sidequest and items!
There is a brand new side quest available in the town of God's Grove. Go in the building on the north side of town to begin the quest. The reward will be a brand new purchasable, usable item type that could potentially drastically change your strategy in battle!
I have another sidequest in the works right now that will take you to an ancient, buried Fusilier fort. Expect it to be done around mid-April. Players said they wanted more side quests! :-)
Quick World Map Button
Einlanzer now has a button/key that lets you instantly look at the world map (Lanzer's realm) without having to fumble with the menu and key items. Thank you player unknown_zzz for the suggestion!
Steam Controller/Keyboard version: the letter V or TAB on your keybard, or the < button on your Steam Controller.
PC Gamepad version: the letter A on your keyboard or button 4 on your pc gamepad by default.
Also, a couple lines of text are added through the early part of the game to let players know that they can use the quick world map button. These happen when you first get the world map from the blacksmith in Sea Breeze, when the shipbuilder sends you off to Riddari in Elnae, and when you first get your sailing ship. Also, The controls graphics you see when you start a new game have been updated to show the new "Instant World Map" buttons/keys.
Stat Explanation screen
One player on the discussion board said they wanted a detailed explanation of all the stats from the menu. I agreed this was an excellent addition, especially for how RP, percentage stat increasing items, and the Luck stat works.
Full Heal spell buffed
Alice's spell "Full Heal" had little use before. It seemed to always make more sense just to cast a strong "Recovery" spell. Now, "Full Heal" will not only give the target 100% of their HP, but it will also heal most status effects! It's not *quite* as thorough as a "Cure II" spell, but it does eliminate most status effects.
Status effects "Full Heal" cures: Poison, Blind, Silence, Sleep, Paralysis, Stun, Immobile, Arm Injury, and Strong poison. Notable exceptions are Stone, On Fire, and Confusion.
Options Screen (change window color, volumes, autorun, etc.
The final update to Einlanzer in this patch is an expanded options screen. Many of these features (especially autorun) were asked for by many players in the discussion board.
This replaces the bottom menu option that let you quit the game. The option to end the game or return to the main menu is now at the bottom of the new options menu.
New in the options menu:
Foolish Fool's Day Calendar Event! (and other update info)
April Fool's Calendar Event
Hello, adventurers! It's almost time for the annual Foolish Fool's Day festival!
The kingdom of Riddari throws this yearly holiday to celebrate all things crazy, foolish, and bizarre! The event will yield unique, exclusive items and gear that can only be obtained during this festival event for this year! Once the festival starts on April 1, speak to the jester in the town of Riddari to play!
The event will last for only one week, so get in there and be foolish while the event lasts!
New Options Menu
On the Foolish Fool's Day patch, there will be a new options menu that allows you greater control over some aspects of the gameplay of Einlanzer. This replaces the bottom menu option that let you quit the game. The option to end the game or return to the main menu is now at the bottom of the new options menu.
New in the options menu:
Customize the window color
Adjust music, background sounds, and sound effects volumes
Allow for auto dash (highly requested in discussion board - I hadn't implemented this before because I needed to do extensive playtesting to make sure it didn't mess up scenes throughout the game)
Allow you to make text appear instantly
Disable battle animations (I have never liked this option in other games because it reduces immersion, but some like it apparently)
Two New Side Quests
While there are many side quests in Einlanzer, people have asked for even more. I am currently working on two brand new, large side quests. They might not be ready for the April 1 update, but they will be completed soon.
Ancient Fusilier Fort Side Quest One side quest pays homage to the side quest from Final Fantasy 6 where you find the old castle buried under the mountains (where you got the Odin/Raiden esper). You will find an ancient Fusilier fort from before the first Yvalak war that's been buried underground. It will have new art, new monsters, a new dungeon, and a large new puzzle. Its challenge is geared toward Act 3, but the puzzle and many of the rewards will be suitable for wherever you are in the game.
Potion Ingredients Side Quest The second new side quest will have you scouring Lanzer's realm for potion ingredients for a new potion maker in God's Grove in Canaan.
The reward will be a brand new standard usable item type that could drastically change battle strategies if you choose to use them. No screenshots yet, but most of the programming for it is already completed.
As always, thank you for playing. If you enjoy Einlanzer, please take a couple minutes to leave a review of the game. It helps tremendously!
Happy Adventuring!

1.211
Welcome to Einlanzer version 1.211 featuring a completely new, third ending!
The 1 year anniversary sale was a massive success! Over 500 copies of Einlanzer were sold this past week and I could not be more happy with the results.
If you are a new player who got Einlanzer on sale, please know that thousands of hours of development and three years of my life went into this game. Though you got it for cheap, it is a massive game with a ton of soul.
If you have any bug reports, questions, or comments, I encourage you to visit the steam community discussions page. Probably, many of your questions have already been answered there by previous players.
