Here we have another update for you. Again we fixed a few issues here and there. There are no new features this time as we work in parallel on the first bigger content update. That will introduce an endless mode and weekly challenges.
Endless mode as the name implies will just not end at wave 80 like the normal mode does. Instead you can continue playing as long as you can survive and get some more elements. Weekly challenges will be really challenges. We have a bunch of things that can be modified and each week you get a new challenge. Less lives, fixed element order, no items, no cooldown between waves and a lot more things are possible. Stay tuned, just played the first challenge this week to test that mode and it was pretty cool and super hard. One could actually say it was “challenging”.

Here we have another update for you. Again we fix a few issues here and there. But as there aren’t many bugs left luckily we were able to focus on more quality of life features that should improve your experience.

Update 1.0.5
You might have wondered what happened to the announced patch as besides the status update last week there was no further informations here. Well on Steam and PlayStation the update is live already since Friday/Sunday. I wanted to post this news once all platforms are released, but as Xbox and Stadia are a little slow and the second patch is also almost done, here is the news including the changelog and an outlook for the next update.
Update 1.0.6 fixes a few remaining issues, most of them are just small issues, but it also includes a fix for one quest on Oasis that doesn’t trigger and an issue loading savegames from the autosave on boss waves. Besides these fixes we’re also looking into the feedback we received so far and are already adding a few improvements like showing what score you need to unlock the medals for the maps.

Info for playtesters
Hey there,
We just found out that when you participated in our playtest a few months ago and might not have uninstalled that version, your installation can be messed up for the full release. To make sure you're playing the correct version. As of now, the version number in the main menu should be 1.0.5 rev2938. If it's < 1.0.0, something is definitely messed up and you can expect any kind of weird error. To solve that issue, the file verification of Steam might be good enough, but to be really sure, it's best to delete the whole Elemental War 2 folder in your Steam directory and then re-download the game.
Sorry for the inconvenience. The changelog for the new 1.0.5 update will follow later today.
Elemental War 2 status update
After the launch on Friday we received a lot of feedback, both positive and negative, including several bug reports from minor stuff to disconnect issues in coop, crashes and more. We’re currently working on solving these issues and will provide a patch as soon as we’re done with it.
If you have encountered issues, please report them. In best case with as much informations as possible.
Currently fixed issues (most important ones only):
continue option (savegames) not always visible and working
gamepad for drawing board not working
Blood Sacrifice quest can break controls which requires a game restart
Taxman can cause disconnect issue in coop
Ritual Site can cause some bugs including loading savegame not working
Currently known issues without a fix (most important ones only)
a few more disconnect/savegame related issues that still need to be analyzed (some might be related to Rootweave tower)
crash when changing resolution(?)
crashes during gameplay
nut cracking quest might not work (not confirmed yet)
monster with 0 HP still running on the map in coop sometimes

After a long time of waiting it's finally there: Elemental War 2!
