About the Game:
Silent Love is a puzzle game that features suspense storylines and the immersive experience of the age of the Republic of China.
It was Ghost Festival, on the dark theatre of Peace County, a play for Ghost Emperor was underway until the son of the local police commissioner broke in and stopped it, demanding actors to put on a show for his father's oncoming birthday. In an instant, paper dolls representing audiences and the spirit tablet for Ghost Emperor burnt...
A few days later, the birthday party of the police commissioner was held in the theatre as scheduled. That was when a human figure in fire fell from nowhere, looking exactly like the burning tablet of Ghost Emperor...
Who was that? Did the person be possessed? Or murdered?
With the mourning hall and the funeral rite arranged, the Mukden Funeral Parlor's owner was prepared to host the funeral. That was where the story began, with unsettled questions popping up and people involved disappearing one after another...
A Story of Suspense
The story was set in Peace County in 1913, a year of the late Qing dynasty and the early Republic of China. At the very beginning, the young master of the Fang's Maison offended Ghost Emperor, leading to a fire in the theater. Then more strange events crowded in, with human self-immolation, paper dolls carrying a coffin, ghost possession...
The game is based on a film involving famous Chinese actors like Wang Kuirong, Zhang Zijian, and Liu Zhiyang, who are also our character archetypes. And in the game, we dig deeper into the film's suspense plots and relationships.
Two Storylines to the Truth
There are 6 endings that the two storylines can lead to. You can act as two characters, who have different identities, with which you can choose various options in conversations to send the main story in different directions and find the truth and character stories.
From there, more plots, items, and characters' background information are hidden in chapters to help you find the truth during the immersive gaming experience.
Immersion in Folklore
Featured by the distinguishing period of the late Qing dynasty and the early Republic of China, the game creates a natural and thrilling atmosphere with folklore details, rather than using jump scares with creepy creatures, fantasies, and chases.
In addition to the atmosphere, tragedies and harsh fates owing to superstitions of the feudalistic ages also can generate fears.
Visual images, auditory effects, and psychological impacts work together to create the feeling of horror. It is not supernatural spirits that are fearsome, but humans' inner demons.
Main Feature
Apart from solving puzzles, you can also seek for clues to solve crimes. Thus you can enjoy the charm of both puzzle-solving and deductive logic.
With the special ability to use the Feng Shui compass, an item of the traditional Chinese divination technique, you can awaken memories when you find the right timing to collect special plots of both storylines.
In the final chapter, you will act as the Secretary General to collect clues and interrogate suspects, from whose statements you can infer the real killer.

"Joan of Arc" will be reworked in the near future, remaking the underlying layer to make the game smoother, and focus on improving the art.
