I decided to reduce the server size from 192x192 down to 64x64 and to reduce the number of players from 200 down to 24. I hope this will make the gameplay a bit more fast paced, as well as a bit more competitive, as the game will not have to fill in with so many bots anymore.
I also noticed some player using some form of speedhack, so I've made some changes to make this more difficult.
Have fun!

Improved animations
Today I added some improved animations. Now powered-up players are larger, and when you eat gems and other players your emoji will animate a little bit. I hope everyone enjoys the update!

emoj.io updated with sound and controller support
I've been reading the feedback and I've added in both sound effects and nearly-full controller support to the game! If you prefer silence, the sound can be disabled in the settings. Also if you use a Steam controller, make sure to switch over to the recommended gamepad profile.
I hope you're having a lot of fun playing emoj.io!
