The following limitations apply to the Demo:

  • A time limit, after which the save can be reset. If not reset, the progress carries over to the main game.
  • Lower max level.
  • No prestige.
  • No leaderboards.
  • The maximum field that can be reaches is the Archipelago.

New leaderboard and other minor improvements.



Changes:

  • New pick up count leaderboard!
  • Companion customization unlocks now give the Companion a small chance to supercharge energies when picked up.
  • Added two new achievements.


Bug fixes:

  • Diagonal transfer UI arrows now shine when putting the mouse over them.
  • Diagonal transfer UI arrows are now drawn over the chest icons.
  • "New customization unlocked" typo fixed.


Notes:

  • Your score is uploaded to the new leaderboard once for every 1000 pick ups.

New achievements, rebindable hotkeys and more!



Changes:

  • New rebindable hotkeys system!
  • Added 4 new hotkeys for manually buying upgrades.
  • Default manual upgrade buy hotkeys are: G, H, J, K.
  • Added 23 new achievements!
  • Added a "Hide completed achievements" checkbox.
  • Reduced the number of days needed to play for the "Dedicated" achievements.
  • Reduced the robot helper speed up from the Acorn of Nimble Fingers power up.
  • AI Helper speed is now also affected by the Acorn of Nimble Fingers power up.
  • Added one more tier on the Acorn of Nimble Fingers's robot speed upgrade.
  • New setting for disabling SFX when the Companion picks up power ups.
  • Manually started quests now do not close the quest tab when completed if there are quests left.
  • Added button click SFX when starting quests manually.
  • Improved save file security.


Bug fixes:

  • Fixed a bug where left over black energies would contribute to the progress of the next manually started quest.
  • Quest completed in a row counter now resets when failing the flower quest.
  • When the Companion picks up the Burning Coal power up, it no longer shows CD reduction animation for your current field.

  • Reduced the number of active crystal activations needed for achievements.

Reducing long objectives.



Changes:

  • Made the play x hours achievements easier.
  • Reduced the hours played requirements for the playtime mastery objectives.
  • Reduced the number of Huge Energy pick ups needed for achievements.

  • Because the game is now much faster due to the Prestige Buffs system, it no longer makes sense to have some of the very long objectives.

Changes:

  • In response to feedback regarding prestige rewards a new Prestige Buffs system has been added!
  • Prestige Buffs: Get Prestige Tokens from Energy Levels and spend them on base stats and new system unlocks!
  • Example buffs: Diagonal transfers, offline XP, better idle rewards from the companion, faster research, and much more!
  • Prestige window design improvements.
  • Added separate "Prestige Bonuses" and "Prestige Buffs" tabs to the prestige UI.
  • Updated the game guide for prestige.
  • Field capacity bonus from Prestige has been increased by 10x.
  • All capacity upgrades have been increased by 10x.
  • Added +2 transfer points for reaching Energy Level 4.
  • Power Ups now remain on screen 10 seconds, up from 5 seconds.
  • The energy spawning quest no longer places the spawner behind the quest window.
  • You can now see the max upgrade bought for the current prestige in the statistics window.
  • Increased field information frame when opening it to better fit the information.
  • Auto-Pin quests is now checked by default.


Bug fixes:

  • Now all windows can be closed by clicking outside of them again.
  • Time since last save should no longer be able to become a negative number.
  • The 25 days achievement should now properly unlock in Steam.
  • Fixed Huge Energy Addict IV Steam description.
  • The digital display should now always be able to change its text.
  • Play time, session time and prestige time should now update their values at the same time in the statistics window.
  • Quest game guide spelling fix.
  • The game should now always be centered when starting in fullscreen.
  • Clicking borderless fullscreen now only gives one click sound.

Changes:

  • Implemented borderless fullscreen option!
  • Switched to delta timing for in-game playtime. This should count time correctly even if the game is in the background.
  • Prestige count now does not increment if you do a prestige with no rewards.
  • You can now buy double capacity without closing open windows.
  • Added units for some achievements to more clearly represent their progress.
  • Increased Hub Capacity bonus from prestige by about 10x - 100x.
  • Added window names to windows without tabs.
  • Auto-Pin Quests setting now also closes the quest window when quests end.
  • Added "Quest Steak" to quest statistics.
  • You can now see a field's total in and out transfer even if the Transfer UI is opened.

  • Coffee can no longer spawn in The Hub.
  • Upgrades leaderboard text should now always fit inside its box.
  • Prestige surge no longer count towards the Temporal Pilgrimage achievement.
  • Companion customization achievements are no longer unlockable before level 35.
  • Augmentation tree nodes now correctly say that Companion energy spawns every 25 seconds.
  • Expedition statistics window colors now properly match the fragment colors.
  • Updated the "Skillful - IV" and "Recharged - II" Steam achievement descriptions to match the in-game descriptions.
  • Pressing OK in the Fragment Rewards window no longer closes the Expedition window.
  • Fixed a bug where if you unlocked the mastery system with a mastery reward already unlocked you would get two notifications.

Changes:

  • Increased upgrade effect for very few early "energy per collect" upgrades.

  • Energies can now be picked up slightly before being fully spawned and slightly after starting to despawn.
  • If the decimal symbol is ",", then the thousand separator is ".".

  • If the augmentation tree has been moved you can no longer accidentally spec/unspec nodes.

Bug fixes:

  • One upgrade costing 10T gave almost no reward. This has been fixed.
  • Partially unlocked achievements are no longer completely gray for 1 frame when opening the achievements.

After about 1 year of non-stop development the 1.0.0 version of Energy Collector is here! Thanks to all the 100+ testers who participated in the beta and helped make the game better.

Beta Patch 29

Beta Patch 29 - Patch Notes


Patch to wipe save files and reset leaderboards. Also some bug fixes.



Changes:

  • Save files are reset.
  • Leaderboards are reset.
  • Buy powerup upgrade requirement text is now red when not affordable.

Bug fixes:

  • Music volume no longer resets when restarting the game.
  • Music no longer overlaps itself when prestigeing.
  • Fixed the in-game link to the game's Discord channel.
  • Changed "Gardening" to "Expeditions" in the game guide.


Notes:

  • The game is releasing within an hour! Beta testers should have access now!
