we arrived at the gameplay update 1.3, with great improvements for the playability and variety of maps.

Automatic deactivation!


Now the deactivation of the generators is almost automatic, with the energy aura enlarging independently next to the selected generator.


Improved health objects!


Visualization and management of health objects has been improved, which now also offer many more points.


Greater variety of procedural maps!


The procedural generation of maps has been improved, with the addition of semi-flat and completely flat maps.
This was also done to lighten and facilitate gameplay.

Gameplay Update 1.2 now live!


Hello everyone,
we have released another gameplay update, version 1.2!

New platform management


Now the position of the platforms with the generators has been improved, and the annoying large holes that were under the structures have been eliminated.
By this way it is much easier to achieve the mission objectives!



New management of the VIGOR


The collection of these fundamental Vigor objects will now simply increase the speed of our hero, but will not decrease performance during the mission.
If the autonomy of the robot is at zero, then the speed will return to normal.


Gameplay Update 1.1 now LIVE!


Hello everyone,
we have simplified the gameplay and greatly improved the interface of the game during the missions.
Now the game-loop is much clearer and more fluid.

The aim of the game is to deactivate all the generators to pass the levels.
Kill enemies --> Take ENERGY bonuses --> Deactivate the selected generator through the energy aura --> Deactivate all generators in the level --> Return to the extraction point to win!
You can also modify the terrain to reach the targets of the missions!

Controls:


Mouse/arrows --> Move
Fire1 key --> Shoot
Hold Jump key --> Enter in trace mode/jump
Esc key --> Pause game
F1 key --> Tutorial
Tab key --> Select weapon
Q,E keys --> Destroy/Add terrain at selected position


To enter in 'deactivation mode' and to deform the terrain, you need energy.
This energy can be earned by collecting the many bonuses that appear every time you kill an enemy!
The energy decreases every second.
Take the VIGOR objects to increase the AMMO and AUTONOMY.
Take the 'health items' when you turn off a power generator.

Hello everyone,
we want to describe the core mechanics of the game, especially the real-time modeling of the terrain.



Our little robot has to collect ENERGY, and this energy is also used to build and destroy the land, in order to open new ways and new game dynamics.

By digging the ground and by destroying the vegetation it is also possible to collect the 'Vigor', necessary for the ammunition and the running speed of the protagonist.
Without ENERGY it is not possible to modify the terrain!



Controls


Mouse / arrows -> Move
Fire1 key -> Shoot
Hold Jump Key -> Enter in trace mode / jump
Esc key -> Pause game
F1 key -> Tutorial
Tab key -> Select weapon
Q, E keys -> Destroy / Add terrain at selected position (you need ENERGY!)



Vigor


The VIGOR is the element that strengthens the small robot, and serves to increase autonomy and ammunition.
VIGOR objects can be collected on the ground or extracted from vegetation by digging.



By this way the dynamic of a shooter game are combined with the object collection and terrain modeling!

Game loop


The object is to collect and extract the number of health objects.
To do this you must go in 'deactivation mode' to deactivate the selected power generator, then the 'health' items will be created. You have to collect and bring home these items.
To enter in 'deactivation mode' and to create / destroy terrain, you need energy.
This energy can be earned by collecting the many bonuses that appear every time you kill an enemy (there are many types of bonuses)!
The energy decreases every second.
Take the VIGOR objects to increase the AMMO and AUTONOMY.
Take the 'health items' when you turn off a power generator, and then take them home (extraction point!).

it has been a long journey full of unexpected events, but finally Energy Hunter Boy has been released and it's LIVE on Steam!

Energy Hunter Boy is an evolved shooter game with fantastic procedural scenarios based on Voxels and real-time terrain modeling.



You will have fun exploring, modifying, building or destroying the terrain of the wonderful worlds of the game, and you will fight to destroy the hordes of enemies and to deactivate the extremely dangerous crazy machines.

You can also collect resources from the vegetation by digging, using the soil modification tool.



You will also enjoy progressing with the skills of our hero, and you can challenge all your friends through our achievements and our multiple online leaderboards!

all our work and our passion have materialized in Energy Hunter Boy, an action / shooter game with procedural and editable scenarios!

The game is now ready for publication, and we are only finishing the last details to prepare the release on Steam. Our journey will start soon!

It has been a long journey that lasted almost two years, but in the end we succeeded ... our game is ready to be published!
We have spent the last few months optimizing gameplay, fixing bugs and improving game performance.

It has been a long job but now we are proud of what we have done and we can’t wait to publish the game on Steam in the coming months!
