This is a long needed update. It does quite a lot that might not be so entertaining at first glance however it was required to polish the whole experience. It was quite some nasty boring work, I can tell you that! But now you can REMAP THE KEYBOARD CONTROLS! Yey! And they get saved too! You can also change the music volume! Sound FX are up next and the music volume doesn't save right now. BUT! We now should have full gamepad support! Meaning: No keyboard or mouse required to launch/play or shut down the game! I can't guarantee that it works with every controller since I can only test it with my XBox360, so let me know about others and I'll see what I can do to work it out!
Here is the list of changes:
Added options menu (still a few blank buttons in there though)
Keyboard controls can be re mapped and saved (not too pretty but it should work)
Music volume can be adjusted (doesn't save cross sessions yet)
Gamepad can now navigate the menus and fixed a bug that blocked shooting
Tweaked the mutant AI a bit so they don't jitter against walls
A few fixes I can't remember...
Let me know if you run into issues! Oh and PLEASE! Let your friends know about this game if you like it! Share it on social media or write a quick review here on Steam! If you want to go big then write to your favorite gaming news media and ask them to review this game! Or just let me know what you would like to see! I guess it is hard to imagine but as solo indie developer I depend strongly on word of mouth to get noticed. Because currently the flood and ignorance from the press may drown this project. I'll still finish it, no matter what, but it is kind of a drag to see all efforts ignored.
Regards,
James

UPDATE - 150801
A quick little update for the Weekend and a BIG HELLO! to all the newcomers here. Nice to have you around! Also big thanks to everyone who has bought the game! Your support is greatly appreciated! ːsteamhappyː
Changes:
Added 3 new weapon types to the dispensaries: Plasma, RailGun and SawGun.
Started to tweak the flight level sequence, you can shoot now and mines fly into the scene.
Fixed a few little bugs.
I've also been caught busking in front of the GameStar (German Games Magazine) Media Building here in Munich. They shared it on their F***Book page.
Next week there's J(G)amesCom here in Cologne and I'll be busking around there too. So if anyone gets to go there you might find me.
Have fun and let me know what you like and what could need improvement! We still need some Highscores! Is the game too hard or why didn't anyone reach the end in one blow yet?
Regards,
James
UPDATE - 150727
ENYO Arcade has been approved for release as Early Access on Steam!
Yey!!!
It will be available on the Steam store by the 30 July,2015 for 2.99$ so get ready! It's been a loooong journey to get this far and I hope that Early Access enables me to further polish and expand the game with YOUR support!
List of changes and additions: (just a few)
Added KICK to the right mouse button
Re-Added level selection (However selecting a level there deactivates the STEAM Leaderboard tracking)
Added Early Access branding and build date to title screen
That's all for today. Now I have to get someone to notice this game...
Regards,
James

Removed level selection and other testing and debug cheats like weapon changing.
Zoom - you can now toggle the zoom with the 'Z' button.
Added 'No Guns' Achievement.
Added fresh Leaderboard. (Fill that up with some highscores!)
Fixed a bunch of bugs and probably added a few new ones =)
...
I am preparing for a stable Early Access release by the end of the month.

James
UPDATE - 150709
This is a pretty big update, yet still unpolished and raw. I just had to force myself into pushing updates again otherwise I'd keep on working until the game is finished without sharing the steps in between.
Like mentioned in the previous announcement there are quite a few changes:
Doubled up the display resolution. from 480x270 to 960x540 (so now you see more of the level and it looks cool)
Dynamic music is working! (Yey, synchronized tracks for live mixing!
Currently only one track made but it works)
Fixed inverted stereo bug.
More splatter and gore.
Rockets now fall over distance.
New enemy types and updated AI (still a lot to do)
Level selection menu
added about 10 new level sectors (For the intro and second level but there are still a few empty places and random enemy placements - you have been warned!)
polished the first level further
exploding barrels!
Fixed a bunch of bugs and probably added a few new ones =)
...
I hope to be making more regular updates again from here on!
Have fun and let me know what you like and what could need improvement! It's still up to you folks to help me make this game awesome and let others know about it if you like it! The press and media don't give a damn about me yet.

James
DEV LOG - 150628
Its been another 3 weeks of hard work. I've done so much that I cant remember all of it but it all sums up to make the game better.
A few things to mention are:
Doubled up the display resolution. from 480x270 to 960x540 (so now you see more of the level and it looks cool)
Dynamic music is working! (Yey, synchronized tracks for live mixing! Currently only one track made but it works)

Level selection menu

exploding barrels!
...
Oh and one cool thing you can see in the animated gif - RAIN ! Yey!
Aside from those details I've also managed to outline the content for the first release. That is one of the reasons why I have not published this update to steam yet. I want the second level to be playable and not just empty rooms.
So let me know if you cant wait to get your hands on this!
Thank you!

Development Time Lapse Video
I've compressed some scenes out of all the versions I could find from the past 4 years of development into a crunchy little clip and added a self made distorted little back beat to it. Then I threw the whole thing into my VJ Software to add visual distortion because I know you like it when it looks like a VHS found in the trash.
And yes, I am still working on this. I just had to deal with a LOT of pressure from the government. They are trying to stop me and want to put me back in line. However I am doing my best not to let their pressure effect the way I work and I will not let them force me to anything.
The next update shall bring a bunch of cool new things and I don't want to rush it.
