Epic Jump! Reborn!

Hello everyone! It is finally here - Epic Jump, completely reprogrammed.

I had decided to continue developing Epic Jump, but the way I had programmed it two years ago made it complicated to add new stuff without anything else breaking. So, I set out on a mission to reprogram the entire game to make it more versatile and capable of receiving new cool features and maps. Now, the first and longest phase is done, and it is time to develop new maps and features.

Here is a summarized list of the biggest changes:

· Redesigned UI.
· Added forcefeedback for controllers in some instances. (When player dies or changes level)
· Now you can play with two people either on the same keyboard, with one gamepad, or two gamepads.
· Language support for English, Spanish, and Danish.
· Implemented Steam achievements (many more to come).

Here are some features I will add in the future:

· Full support for gamepads.
· Steam playtogether
· New and improved maps.
· Fun in-game features like extra points, new mechanics like double jump, etc. (Contact us on discord to submit your ideas).

Development Progress

Hello everyone!

Since I announced that I would resume the development of Epic Jump!, a ton of progress has been made.

What is being done?



·Remade the entire menu to fit a more conventional style.
·Recoded the entire game to easily add new features in the future after the new release.
·Making new levels and features for the game to be more entertaining. (Even more to come)
·Now you will be able to play either with two players on one keyboard and two gamepads. Thanks to Clon.
·Steam achievements.

Features for the future:



Many things can change, and I have plenty of ideas I want to add to make Epic Jump! a larger game (and without bugs).

·More Steam achievements.
·More levels with different styles and new mechanics, and more coop mechanics.
·Select your own character! A few extra characters will be added so you can select who you would like to play as.
·DLCs with extra content.
·This is just the plan for now. Stick around and follow the continued development of Epic Jump!

First update is due for release in April.

Epic Jump! Development Resumed!

Hello everyone!

After over a year of silence, I have decided to pick up and continue developing Epic Jump!

I will be redesigning the menu, game mechanics, levels—pretty much everything.

In addition to overhauling it, I am going to expand the game with longer levels, Steam achievements, more personalization, and even create DLC. (Stay tuned!)

For this to happen, I would like your help! I have created a form where you can freely write out your ideas for the game and its improvement.

Final Note

Hello player!

This will be the last news from R4prot Studios for Epic Jump!

This does not mean that the game will be abandoned entirely. But I have decided to move on and focus on other projects.

I have disabled cloud saves because it created bugs in the scenery and some other more unlikely bugs...

New levels!

Hello everyone.

Here is the update for the last levels that will be added to Epic Jump.
From now on the game will only be updated if there are reported issues but there won't be added any more content.
This is because we have to move on and our team is currently studying and will be back with newer and improved games next year.

Minor Level Fixes.

Level Rework

Hello everyone.
This update might come with bugs as we haven't been able to fully test it so please, if you find a bug, contact us on Discord

We have merged various assets so they will now be loaded as a single piece.
We have shrunk the texture size, but it shouldn't affect the visuals.
We have shrunk the water and land area to be much smaller.
Fixed a timer issue on level 4.
Less foliage.
Some minor fixes.

Hello everyone!

Now that Epic Jump! is officially released, what will happen next?

Well, here at the R4ptor Studios Team we are committed to keeping this game (and future games) to be updated and improved constantly.

We have slowed the production of new features but are tirelessly working on new and improved levels!
Above is the picture of the start to a new level.

We are also working on a future game with a storyline and many challenges!

Prepare For The Official Release

Hello everyone!

Today we have released Epic Jump Officially. It will no longer be in early access.

The decision for release so soon was that the basic gameplay is tested and bug-free and there is a fully working multiplayer and the only thing to do now is incrementally add more maps.

Fixes:
· Fixed an error when playing in normal difficulty, when the timer ran out it would spawn players at the beginning of the level and not go back to the main menu.
· Fixed some collision issues on Level 3


What's new?
· Added a new gameplay mechanic where you can walk on some planks that will fall down if you stand on them for too long.
· Added Level 6 and Level 7
· Added sound fx for when being punched by one of the punching rocks.
· Added sound fx for when dropping planks fall down.
· Added sound fx for when entering the level change portal.
· Added in the options menu an option to visually see the control mappings of the keyboard and the controller.

Small Fixes

Hello everyone.

Today we bring you a small fix for the currently known bugs.

· Now the music will start a different track with every level change.
· Level 3: Fixed some collision issues.
· Fixed player points when the difficulty timer would run out there would be a delay before the point was given. Now the points are given immediately after being launched (because of the timer running out).
· Some minor fixes.
