This is another pre-Wargame update that also includes a number of player requested features.
This update is automagically available once you restart Steam.
Weapons: Master Arm Switch
We've removed the 2 second trigger delay and replaced it with a Master Arm Switch. When you're not in a safe zone, activate the switch to turn off the weapons safety. There will no longer be a delay for weapons fire.
It is possible that you may receive several notification messages relating to why you cannot fire, "Safe Zone, Weapon Safety, etc..." -- we'll be smoothing this out in subsequent updates.
New Bank Account Notifications
You are now notified if you receive credits due to a discovery or a cleared sector.
Radar Ping: Heading
When radar is active, you now see the specific heading of objects in relation to your flight direction.
About Me
The "About Me" section in the PDA now accepts input. You can enter a short biography (Limit 256 Characters). However this will not be visible to other players until the reputation system is live.
Increased reward payout for discoveries.
The reward payout for discoveries has been increased to $100 per discovered object and $1k for a completed sector.
Rank and level icon next to pilot tags
Your faction rank and HT level now display next to your ship for other pilots. More info can be found on the wiki: http://wiki.epicspace.net/HT-Rank.html

Galaxy Map Updated
The Galaxy Map has been updated and now includes a slew of new features that should make it waaay more fun to loot hunt and plan your empire.
Lots of community sourced ideas in this release. We've also decided to make a move on a much more advanced Wiki.
Changes in 7.6.3 are below:
Redesigned Wiki
The new redesigned wiki is located at http://Wiki.EpicSpace.net. We will be spending a development cycle on this and eventually discontinuing the Wikia version.
Refuel, Rearm and Repair at Station -- for a price.
The price is controlled by the station owner. By default the RR&R price is $100.00 and is automatically deposited into the station owner's bank account.
Player Home Bases
Players can now select a home base to spawn at -- provided that the station is owned by your Faction. If you die in the same sector as your home base, you will respawn near The Core (0x0).
Whitelists Removed
Whitelists are no longer used in ES Online. Further references to this functionality will be removed in subsequent releases.
Programmable Flak Cannons [Experimental]
When constructing a Flak Cannon, by default it will be disabled. To enable the Flak Cannon, simply click it and select one of the four options:
Disabled - Will not fire under any circumstance.
Defensive - Will fire only ships that have fired first and are not apart of your Faction.
Aggressive - Will fire on any ships that are not apart of your faction, on sight.
Attack All - Will fire on any ship despite the faction. (Best for training purposes)
Only the Faction Leader can program a Flak Cannon.
Bank account not updating fast enough
More optimizations have been performed to speed up the transmission of data between the client and server.

The "Pre-Wargames" -- Update
Engine animation reappears when entering new sector.
After triggering the Engine Fuel Cut Switch. This has been fixed in 7.6.2.
Changes to how the chat window works
The entire text input box goes away after a chat message is sent.
Station Deployment Issues
Various issues regarding station deployments have been fixed. Some problems surround pilots not knowing that they must be in a Faction first, and the game not reminding them of that.
HT Rank now buffs Hull Points
A last minute patch was uploaded to address a problem with repairing and immediately docking. Most pilots simply need to restart Steam to get this update.
Speed Buff kept increasing despite level cap
This resulted in insane speeds, and has been fixed for anyone over lvl 20.
Jettisoning cargo caused data corruption
This issue has been fixed.
Mission Prices
Have been increased in an effort to boost the in game economy.
Friend Notifications
Friend Login / Logout messages now disappear after a short time.
Development focus shifting
We've made a lot of tweaks to the core game. But it's time we shifted focus to "Wargames." The combat oriented module of Epic Space.
- Combat focused 6v6 and 12v12 Matches.
- Stand Alone Dedicated Servers.
- Use the loot you found in the Primary universe in the Wargames universe.
We'll share more information on Wargames and Capital Ships later on this week.

The "Fart your way across the universe" -- Update
Good God! Crazy 48 hours. Again, thank you to the ones who reached out with the suggestions.
Here's what's new in update 7.6.1
Cut Engines / Drifting
If you were holding down space bar to drift and save fuel, that's funny because it wasn't built in -- but it is now! Only you don't have to hold down spacebar. Just click the ENG switch on the lower left of the Hud. That will cut your engines.
PDA Help Option
New category in the PDA has the official list of controls and a few tips to help you get started. Here's one: Sell your Pioneer Letters, they're worth millions. Check the marketplace for where to go.
Speed Buff
Well it's finally here, the speed buff. The higher your HT Rank, the faster you go. It resets upon death, so be careful.
Topping off fuel
You can now top off you fuel if you have a disposable income...
Improvements to the chat interface
Press T or Enter brings up the chat window.
Update to Galaxy Map
Clicking on a Market listing or Bookmark brings up the Galaxy Map and shows you which direction to take.
1 Million starting credits.
Had to get permission from our Founders, but they all agree that new players could use a stimulus package -- just like they had. Especially since this phase of development is about the economy. All players, new and current should already have the extra credits in their bank account.
Toggle Fullscreen
I highly recommend you don't do this, but if you really need to, the option is available. Just try not to minimize the window. Use the "windowed" argument to get started. (Windows)
Trade Hub now has buy orders for loot. Rotates weekly.
Definitely a no brainer here. The trading post in 0x0 now lists several wanted items. This changes weekly for now.
More missions
The really good "close by" missions ran out pretty fast on launch day, so we've added a few more and beefed up the rate that new ones are created. If you don't see a mission you like, give it time. As more stations are deployed, more trading options become available.
Donating to rename planets etc...
This is a relic from the alpha days to get trial pilots to support the development of the game. It's been fixed and is now working as normal. Just keep in mind that your Steam ID is tied to the object you've named. ( In other words, no ♥♥♥♥ jokes, Brian. )
Server Shutdown Notification
The server shuts down nightly at 12am. I know, I know EvE etc... but frankly having an "infinite universe" eats up memory and a 15 minute reboot is the quickest way to refresh everything for the next day. Complex problem, simple solution.

Epic Space is Subscription Free - Because of Reviews
That means that every review we get, helps pay for server upkeep and further development. So we never have to worry about Pay Walls, Subscription Fees, or what ever the industry conjures up. We do read the reviews and make it a point to address them all, rather than deleting them. (Yeah, you know who I'm talking about.)
