The Steam awards are back!
Hi Fox Riders,
This year's Steam autumn sale just started and that means one thing - it's Steam awards time ːepipartyː
All of the award categories are restricted to games released this past year with the exception of the "Labor of Love" category. So, if you feel like Epistory deserves the "Labor of Love", please tick the checkbox above this post. ːepiloveː
And because, Epistory would be nothing without its awesome community, I wanted to illustrate my post with some artworks made by our players. Thank you guys!
Next Update
This news is also the right moment to let you know that we are working on a new update fixing some small remaining issues recently reported, that should be live by the end of the day.
New Typing Game
One last word in case you missed the news about our new typing game in development called Outshine. It's very different from Epistory as it's a fast-paced arcade game but we hope that the typist searching for typing challenges among you, will enjoy it and add it to their wishlists.
Thank you for reading. -VirginRedemption
New Typing Game Coming
Hi Fox Riders,
During the development of our last typing adventure, Nanotale, some players asked us for for a fast-paced typing mode. Of course, we released the arena mode to please the frenetic typists among you. But, we also had the idea of a new typing game, more arcade oriented where your only goal is to destroy your enemies in a fast-paced typing game.
So, here comes Outshine where each world has its own flow, enemies and bosses. Master your different special abilities and find the best tactic to defeat your enemies and escape. Beat the game then change the game modifiers to create a brand new custom experience. Ready to type your way up the leaderboard?
Outshine is still in development and is planned to be released around mid-2022. Meanwhile, it would mean a lot to us if you could wishlist it.
I am happy to see that our community is growing with more and more Fox Riders everyday. Thank you so much for joining us and for the good reviews left on Steam.
Now that we entered the post-production of our current game in developing Nanotale, we decided to spend time on the few bugs remaining in Epistory.
Fixes
Sfx (ambiance sound) still audible in fire dungeon even when all sounds are disabled
Arena score is not displayed in "me" tab
Suspicious scores removed from the leaderboard
"Tree Name" code is displayed above tree barks instead of word
"There is no word on torches in first dungeon" (read thread here)
English words in Russian dictionary
Wrong keyboard in the UI
Tweaked some other smaller issues
Improvements
"Very easy" is now easier
Please don't hesitate to let us know if your encounter any more issues.
Cheers, -VirginRedemption
Some news about Epistory and Nanotale
Hi Fox Riders,
We hope that you are doing well. Here, we entered a second lockdown which means that our team is working from home for 7 months now.
An update on Epistory
First of all, thank you for being such a wonderful community, and for all the reviews left on the game page. These reviews are probably one of the reasons why Epistory is still popular in 2020. ːepipartyː
Since the release of Epistory, we compiled a list of minor bugs reported by the community. Now that Nanotale (our new typing game) is about to be finished, our amazing programmer will take some time to fix these remaining bugs and update Epistory.
That's it for Epistory. Thank you again for the nice reviews. ːepiloveː
News about Nanotale
For the Fox Riders who don't know about it, Nanotale is our new typing game based on a survey we ran amongst Epistory's players. The game is different from Epistory since we didn't want to do an Epistory 2 but a totally new typing experience.
The game was released on Steam early access on October 2019. Most of the players are returning Fox Riders who wants to help us while the game is still in development by reporting bug and giving us feedback/suggestions. But we also had the pleasure to welcome new players who never played a typing game before.
The current content of the game represents 75% of the experience with 2 out of 3 biomes accessible at the moment. We are now finishing the last biome that will be available in Closed BETA by the end of the year. So players who already own the game, won't have to wait until the final release to complete it. Meanwhile, we'll continue to polish and improve game until we release it in early 2021.
Here are few screenshots showing you Nanotale and its current state.
"Le temps d'un café" - When the studio is deserted due to Covid-19
With Corona virus all around, we are all working from home. the studio is empty, and waiting for a coffee can seem really looooooong.

Nanotale made it to Top 100
Hi Fox Riders,
Today, we had the pleasure to read that Nanotale reached the first step of the Indie of the Year contest on IndieDB by being part of Top 100. We are now competing against 99 other fantastic indie games.
Winning that contest would be a really nice boost for our game, so please, help us by voting for Nanotale using this link. No need to sign in.
Thank you very much!

Nanotale is now available!
Hi Fox Riders,
We are honored to welcome you to the Order. You are now ready to be an Archivist from Nanotale and to venture alone in the Ancestral Forest to unveil its secrets.
We hope that you will enjoy your time during early access. Don't hesitate to help us improve the game by giving us feedback end reporting bugs in the following steam discussions.
Leaving us a review will also help us a lot during the rest of the development and increase visibility on the game.
What can you expect from the current version ?
The game features around 2-4 hours of gameplay depending on your skills and willingness to explore its content.
We consider art direction as final and core game mechanics are in place.
As an Early Access version, we are aware there are both major and minor bugs in the build.
Our priority in the following days and weeks will be to make sure those bugs are ironed out and you can experience the game up to its end. As of today, the build is solid but in edge cases, blockers can be found. Also expect quite a few updates on Steam.
What we plan to improve from here?
As an Early Access version, we know things are not perfect and we already have a lot planned on our side until final release. Here is an overview of what we plan to do.
