Epitasis October Development Update

Hi all! Lucas here with an Epitasis development update.

We've been hard at work on continuing to build Epitasis, and it finally feels like the game is coming together. We're very close to a fully playable build - I am hoping that we should have one at the end of November or mid-December! That will give us the remaining time to do QA, localization, and continued polish of the game (and anything else). We seem to still be on track for a Q1 2019 release.

Last time we talked, we were preparing for Microsoft's Pre-PAX event - it ended up going very well! Overall people seemed to like the demo we brought quite a lot, and it gave us some good feedback to polish some of our gameplay systems. It also gave us a lot of good experience about working on the Xbox build of the game.

Lately for Epitasis, we've worked on introducing some cool new technical features, such as a music "queue" system, which allows various tracks to play and be queued up as you progress through the game. It's very dynamic, and pretty cool! I'll be excited to when I can show more of this, and more music from the game (its wrapping up very nicely).

We've also continued to work on dynamic weather in Epitasis - you can check out a quick sample of rain here. There's currently a few different weather systems that randomly place throughout levels (some more than others).

Areas of the game we're beginning to wrap up is that of the city ruins areas, which you can see a few pictures of below:

Lastly, we recently worked to update our Press portal for journalists and streamers. You can check it out here! If you're either of the two, feel free to reach out and/or request a press copy - we'll add you to our list! The site also has a ton of screenshots, gifs, and other media you can view.

As always, for more frequent updates, you can be sure to follow us on Twitter and Facebook, or even here on Steam.

Thanks, and see you all next month!

Epitasis - Development Update and heading to Pre-PAX!

Hello everyone!

We recently added a bunch of new screenshots to our Steam store page. It has been a while since we've posted an update here, and we'd like to do so more often.

Development has been going great. We are currently still on track for a mid Q1 2019 release date for PC and Mac! When we get closer to the new year, we hope to have more exact details about this. For now, please check out some of the new screenshots if you have not already, and be sure to add the game to your wishlist if you have not already!

We will also be attending ID@Xbox's Pre-PAX event on the Microsoft campus, the day before PAX West starts! If you'd like to get a taste for Epitasis (on Xbox One!), come out and try it. All you need to do is RSVP to the event!

For frequent developmental screenshots and updates, you can also follow us on Twitter and Facebook! Spreading the word about the game helps a lot as well.

We truly appreciate the patience and unending support. We are trying to bring you a very special experience. If you have any comments or questions, please feel free to leave them below or start a new discussion about it!

Thank you for listening, and take care.

Epitasis Kickstarter Complete at 117% Funded

THANK YOU EVERYONE! Epitasis has been fully funded at 117%!

We couldn't have done it without you... and we are so excited for the things to come. We we're even able to get an extra bit of funding, and it will be used to help continue polishing the game overall.

We'll be continuing to update backers on new things, such as tshirt designs and print designs. We will be doing surveys soon to get an idea of what the community would like to see for these, and we want to take the time to make these great.

If you weren't able to back the game in time, you can still help support us by sharing the game on social media and adding it to your wishlist on steam.

A quick update on the mac build for the alpha demo: we're still working on it, and it will still be released. We believe in that people should be able to try a demo of the game, and we still want users on the mac side to still be able to test it. We should have it out shortly for those users.

Again... a big thank you to everyone once again. We're so ready to sit down and begin working on such an exciting project and simply creating a great game. We can't wait to start the next chapter of Epitasis' development, and we're glad you're here with us on this journey. Thank you.

4 Days remaining on Kickstarter / 90% Funded

Hey everyone! Lucas here.

We're about 90% funded on our Kickstarter! We only have 4 days remaining though, so time is ticking! If you'd like to back the Kickstarter, you'll get a copy for Steam once the game is released (or on any other platform of your choosing). You'll be helping fuel the development of the game itself.

If you didn't see yet either - we released a demo build, so feel free to try it out if you'd like to get a taste of the game first. You can find the link to download it right at the top of the Kickstarter's page.

You can check out the Kickstarter and all relevant media here!

Thank you to everyone for all the continued support as well. We're so close and we're very happy to be bringing to you the passion project that is Epitasis.

DEMO BUILD OUT NOW!

Hey everyone,

We went ahead and released the event demo build EARLY! To everyone! Yay!

You can now download it and get a feel for what Epitasis is really like - it contains just a small section of what we've been working on, and I really hope you enjoy it.

I'm a firm believer to release thing's when its ready - I've been making subtle changes for the past week or so, but the build is ready enough for people to test out, break, and enjoy.

Download it here. (note: Mac build coming later this week)

Please feel free to stream it, upload videos, or anything else you see fit - we want to get the game and demo in front of as many people as possible!

Some notes on the demo build so far (we'll continue updating it as issues and suggestions come in...)

  • You may want to fiddle with your graphic settings before hitting new game.
  • This is an alpha representation of the game - we'll be making changes as we see fit to make the game better and better up until release.
  • Please send issues, suggestions, and anything else to support@epitasisgame.com

Thanks guys, and enjoy!!

44% Funded, Kickstarter Rewards Update

Hey everyone -

We're 44% funded - a bit over $5.1k! We're almost halfway there!

See the kickstarter here:
https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/294680327/epitasis

Firstly, I've made another modification to shipping - shipping is now available to anyone in the world!

In addition, I also went ahead and added a few new tiers to the project today - there is a complete package which includes everything, including the tshirt, print, and your name on the ruins wall, and also a ultimate package that will allow you to work with us to design a single puzzle in the game. Ultimate Package backers will receive a special spot in the credits compared to all other backers.

I also added a new tier for $5 as a simple thank you to those who would just like the exclusive wallpapers and a spot in the credits.

We're also working on adding in a few new physical items for backers - we will let everyone know as soon as we do!

Lastly - if you really like the project, please be sure to share it on social media and abroad, even if you can't pledge the game right now! We need all the help we can get.

Thanks guys!
