Build 0.51: Companions talk and shortcuts

A new build is online now (0.51) and we added 2 new features:

Conversations with friends

We added the possibility to start conversations with your companions which can be used if the help of them is needed for solving puzzles:



If a companion is close to you, you can press the talk button on the companion's panel to start talking to him.

This brings more interactions and fun. The feature will be added to the next build, stay tuned!

New inventory system

We created a new inventory system.



Advantages:

* Looks better
* Better usability
* Will bring the possibility for Controller Support (yeah!)
* Will bring the possibility for Crafting tools and weapons (yeah!)

Build 0.50: New Companion

In this build a new companion is added, a kind of snake called Urga:



The game is proceeding greatly now and we have many new ideas, of course yours are always welcome - please let us know

Middle ages update

We made it, here is the first update of Erwin's Timewarp in the Middle Ages:

We are so happy that we could solve all our migration problems and can proceed the development as we planned.

For those of you guys who solved all puzzles of the first timezone we included the possibility to start directly in the second one:

Progress level 2

We are making really good progress developing the 2nd level of Erwin's Timewarp. We ported to the latest version of our game engine Unity 5.3 and solved the issues concerning the 3rd party software.

Ideas choosing levels

We are currently discussing the idea of letting the player choose the level with buttons on the start screen. Here is a screenshot of the concept:



First you can choose "New Game" or select a saved game, and then the buttons for the timezone will be active and you can select to which timezone you want to go.

This would be cool but there is a problem with loading and saving the game:

1. Each level needs to be a separate adventure, that has no connection to a previous level

2. When saving a game, should be persisted which level you already finished?

3. It needs to be stored (globally) which parts of the time machine you already found.

What do you guys think of the idea?
