Bunker DLC Release date and other news

Hello everyone!

We thought it would be a good moment to update you on the progress of the DLC. Last week we finished implementing all of the puzzles, so we are moving on to the last phase of development, which includes some final polishing, bug fixing, and some miscellaneous tasks, such as implementing steam achievements etc.

This phase of development usual takes us 1-2 weeks so the game will launch at latest on March 3rd. We'll release the game as soon as we are confident the game is ready, so it might come out few days earlier.

The development of the DLC took a bit longer than we originally expected, due to a mix of illnesses, and us wanting to work in a couple more puzzles.

Additionally, we also have some nice (free) surprise content for you guys, that we are planning to get to you relatively soon after the DLC.

Also, as some you might have noticed, we don't usually post these updates too often, since we tend to prioritise spending our time working on the game. So, whenever you notice that we haven't posted an update for a while, it is usually a sign that we are busy working hard on our project.

Anyways, we hope you enjoy the bunker DLC once it release.

Features:
-Added subtitles, they are on by default and can be turned off from the settings menu.

General Changes:
-Reworked how the game handles the sounds of footstep. Now there is some variety in the sounds based on what the player is walking on.
-Small adjustments to some textures.


Bug fixes:
-Fixed a bug where the brick could be placed in a location where it would be stuck.
-Some small fixes.

Updates and news

Hello everyone!

Since it has been a couple of weeks since the launch, we thought we might take a moment to talk about some things.

Firstly, we want to thank you all for you support and feedback. The reception you have given our game has been beyond our expectations.

Secondly, many of you have asked us for a way to support the development of the game so we decided to add a "supporter pack" DLC. The DLC mainly exists for those of you who want to support us, but it does unlock some developer comments from both of us within the game which gives you some insight into the development of the game.

Thirdly, we have been listening to you (and watching your streams, of course) and in the two patches since the launch we have already been able to put your feedback to good use. Most of the changes have been small bugfixes as well as some QOL changes, such as the addition of Item names and descriptions when inspecting items.

Finally, we are happy to let you know that we have officially started the development of the first DLC scenario. It will take some time to make so we will keep you updated on the progress. Of course, we are also going to keep patching the game in the meantime.

Steam store page is now live

Hello everyone!

We are happy to let you know that the store page for our latest game is now live. Just like our previous projects, "Escape Memoirs: Mini Stories" is a cooperative escape-room style puzzle experience. But unlike our previous games, it will be made up of smaller standalone scenarios. On launch there will be one scenario, "Jail Breakout", which will be completely free. In the future, we plan to use this project as a platform for any smaller escape-room experiences which we wish develop, but which are too short to release on their own. We currently plan on releasing these shorter experiences every once in a while between our longer games.

The first scenario, "Jail Breakout", is as the name implies, about breaking out of a jail. The project came into being due to the fact our artist had some extra time to explore different environmental styles between projects, while our programmer was busy patching and updating our previous games. While the assets our artist had created for a jail environment were nice, we did not have plans for any longer projects that would have needed them, so we thought it would be nice to use them to develop a smaller free scenario for all of you to enjoy. Narratively, we tied this scenario together to be a small follow-up to our previous game "Escape Memoirs: Mansion Heist". We hope you will enjoy it once it launches.

We will be sure to let you know whenever we end up deciding to make more scenarios for this game.
