Pirin, Book III, The Gests of Nhalbar

The trilogy is now complete!

Weaving together all the separate loose threads of the Pirin trilogy may seem an uncanny feat, and yet this is precisely Sebastiano B. Brocchi’s great accomplishment in the final volume of the trilogy, “The Gests of Nhalbar”, translated in English by Giovanni Carmine Costabile. Prepare yourself, o reader, to meet old and new friends and foes, prepare yourself to see them turn their coats, prove true, stand together or against each other, face many challenges, fight, and, above all, fulfil their fate in finding Wisdom. In the epic succession of trials and battles leading all the way up to a final confrontation of colossal proportions, every reader will understand what it means enduring the darkness until “the Coming of the Day.”

Pirin, Book II, Hairam The Queen

We are pleased to announce the publication of "Hairam the Queen - Pirin Trilogy - Book II", the amazing high fantasy novel by Sebastiano B. Brocchi, translated into English by Giovanni Carmine Costabile.
Verily Brocchi's imagination, mastery of symbolism, and insight is so great that one feels inspired to compose some flight of fancy of his own, in the trail of the Swiss writer.

Readers of the first volume of the Pirin trilogy are already familiar with this sort of inventiveness, happily married with a profoundity of thought, but they will still be surprised by the many turns unfolding in the narrative, as well as by its tackling, this time, a single, problematic issue: trust.
In the sequence of adventures leading to an unforeseen ending, even you, dear reader, may find answers you had been looking for, and finally understand what it means “for Lothriel to have a Queen”.

Pirin, Book I, Memoirs of Helewen

Sebastiano B. Brocchi's “Pirin” Saga is a brave dare: is it possible to create a credible High Fantasy narrative universe, meticulously structured, based upon a solid lore, but essentially founded upon the depth of a philosophical, spiritual, humane message? Stories rooted in the mythical, legendary heritage of the Ancient World and the Middle Ages, in the history and mysticism of several civilizations and ages, in order to weave the branching threads of an epic, magical saga available in different media. Besides the works of the main trilogy, in fact, several spin-offs and a videogame have been released, the latter receiving enthusiastic reviews on an international level. Today, the first volume of the literary trilogy, titled “Pirin, Book I, Memoirs of Helewen”, has been launched online in ebook format (soon to be available in print as well) in the English translation by Tolkien scholar and writer Giovanni Carmine Costabile. The translator accepted another dare of mine and valiantly achieved the result, transposing into the modern version of Chaucer's language the complexity of a rich, often high-flown style, a prose which is not afraid to step into the field of poetry, in order to present the reader with the haunting sceneries of an elsewhere that, although unreal, yet may seem incredibly present. Get absorbed in the story of a people of demigods inhabiting a blessed realm encircled by the steep Eastern mountains, and enter the labyrinth of tales narrating the gests of their rise and fall, in the wake of the ancient prophecy of the King of the World...

Update 1.0.3 and official walkthrough

Dear point and click lovers,

just to inform you all that we just updated the game to version 1.0.3 for both PC and Mac.

With this update we fixed some minor issues on the PC version and we were able to halve the size of the game, increase its stability and optimize the framerate for the Mac version.

About the savegames:

<*> PC version: savegames between 1.0.2 (last public PC version) and 1.0.3 are compatible.
<*> Mac version: savegames between 1.0.1 (last public Mac version) and 1.0.3 are NOT compatible, but don't worry: you can go back to the previous version at any time and keep the savegames intact! How? Very simple: Right click on "Eselmir and the five magical gifts" on your Steam library. Select "Properties" and select the wished version under the "Betas" tab. In any case, you can then always switch back to the current 1.0.3 public version choosing "NONE - Opt out of all beta programs".

And, last but not least, You guys asked for it and here it is: we published the official walkthrough of the game! It is only in Italian but we think that it should be not a big issue to translate it in English or in any other language with Google Translate. Anyone can feel free to post the translated version of it in the "Guides" section of the Community Hub :)

Thank you again for your valued suggestions, feedback and for your interest in our old fashioned point and click adventure game! Feel free to report us any issue: we put our heart and soul in the game and we do care about your game experience! :)

    Update 1.0.2 (public release)

    Dear point and click lovers,

after several days of intensive testing we are happy to announce that Eselmir's update v1.0.2, previously on beta, has passed the various tests and is now available as official public update for everyone.

The annoying bugs that afflicted a part of players (invisible characters, crazy mouse cursor, frequent crashes, ...) has been corrected. The upgrade to a newer version of the game engine (Visionaire Studio 4.2.5) also made possible to halve the size of the game, increase its stability and the framerate. Savegames between 1.0.2 "beta" and 1.0.2 "public" are compatible.

Warning: unfortunately the savegames of the previous public version (1.0.1) don't work with the new current version (1.0.2). Don't worry: if you had no problems playing, you can go back to the previous version at any time and keep the savegames intact! How? Very simple: Right click on "Eselmir and the five magical gifts" on your Steam library. Select "Properties". Select "v1.0.1 - Jan 12, 2018" under the "Betas" tab.

You can then always switch back to the current 1.0.2 public version choosing "NONE - Opt out of all beta programs".

This update concerns only the PC version.

Thank you again for your valued suggestions, feedback and for your interest in our old fashioned point and click adventure game! Feel free to report us any issue: we put our heart and soul in the game and we don't want that you can't appreciate it for some random bugs :)
