Tokyo Game Show SOWN Finalist
Esophaguys was selected as a Sense of Wonder Night finalist at Tokyo Game Show 2024! ːsteamhappyː The dev team will have boots on the ground at the event from September 26 - 29.
Only 8 of the 80 presenting were chosen for this distinction. See the selection on the TGS site here.
We'll be running a livestream, showcasing our new hub world, character customization, TravNeck technology, updated graphics, fresh music, and most importantly, a new combat minigame!

Big demo update!
New
Added new grueling solo Masochist mode (top-left door in Hub)
Added some toys in the levels to mess around with. And a ball and hoop in the hub 😉
Added beautiful environment art on all levels
Overhauled much of the soundtrack and sfx. Twanging tunes and elderly grunts delight
Added narrative cues so you can learn more about the weird world we're creating
Improvements
You can now play the game on Steamdeck!
Optimized the game for Steam Remote Play Together
General design improvements to all the Esophaball levels
Improved the ascension behaviour so players have a bit more control over it
Added the first of many camera improvements so the level and players get framed more often
Added audio settings so you can adjust volumes individually
FIXES
Reworked the player spawning system. Players can now jump in and out of gameplay with more stability
Adjust terrain a bit in some areas that were just out of reach
Fixed some missing tutorials in the coop levels
Fixed issues with the camera sometimes getting stuck on a checkpoint
Fixed sometimes not dying or getting stuck in levels

Esophaguys | Fixes and some Esophaball changes
Hey Neck Folk!
Thanks for all your feedback from Friday, we've been working hard to get the fixes out to you. Which is exactly what this is about. We just pushed an update of our demo on Steam that you can go ahead and enjoy right away. Here's a quick list of the changes:
CHANGED:
All the current Esophaball levels. Some received a pretty significant rework. Go try them out and let us know what you think. Most of it is based on what we saw in Fridays little tourney.
The Esophaball blowfish to have a max velocity of 200. No more blowfish go brrrrrrr.
FIXED:
The geckos not quite eating their fruits too accurately
Many issues with the player spawning systems. We identified about 4 cases where things went wrong, but it should be a lot more stable now.
Some invisible trees in some levels.
Character clothing sometimes clipping
Some characters wearing the same clothes.
Level ending doors not working
Character and Blowfish not respawning for certain Esophaball levels.
KNOWN ISSUES:
Still some cases where the Esophaball instruction panels refuse to fall down and start the countdown.
