Today’s post will be less about what we say, but more about what others say about Etherborn. Last month, we’ve allowed selected journalists to play our game and see what they thought of it. And over the last few weeks, they finally revealed their thoughts and published their previews.
Below are some of the quotes:
"The game, its colour contrast, brightness and scenarios make you feel like you're in a dream” Gamereactor
“I can say that the level design so far is pretty clever and the environments looks great.” Niche Gamer
“There’s something about it’s simplistic look yet complex design that quietly screams for attention, taking elements from other art forms and uniting them to create a unique experience.” Critical Hit
“Perspective-based puzzlers are not new, but Etherborn definitely feels unique.” The Sixth Axis
“Good puzzles, fantastic architecture, great audio and visuals, and a philosophical background. What else can you ask for?” Vandal
“I really do love the visual and audio aspect of it, and the way the story is told is done so extremely well.” Fullsync
We’re pretty happy with some of the comments we've received - it feels nice to hear that someone is enjoying what you’ve been working on for so long. It’s giving us a bit of a motivational boost to keep going.
We’ve also been part of the official ID@Xbox line-up at last month’s EGX Rezzed. It was a blast being part of the line-up together with so many other great games. And nothing beats seeing people play our game in real life. So thank you so much if you’ve came down, played our game, and had a chat with us. You are a champion :)
Our game is getting closer to release, it’s so close we can touch it. Soon we will let you know about our release date, so keep your eyes peeled. And as always, if you haven’t joined us on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram - do so now. That way, you won’t miss a beat from us. And if you haven’t done so already, add us to your wishlist on Steam.
Until next time,

P.S. We told you this was a short update 😉
New Trailer, FoxNext Partnership, and Release Window Announced!
Hi everyone,
Today is the day where we can finally let the proverbial cat out of the bag. Etherborn has an official release window, which is Spring of this year. And as I’m typing these words out, it feels absolutely surreal. We’ve been making Etherborn for a few years now, and we knew it will come out. But now, when we watch the trailer and see the words “Coming Spring 2019”, it feels real. It’s almost like we can hold it in our hands…

The other big news is that we’ve partnered up with FoxNext Games - we are the debut title of their Indie Spotlight program! Thanks to their support, we’ve been able to make Etherborn even better.
Ok, as I am writing this, our announcement and trailer has just gone live. Everyone on our team is buzzing with excitement. There’s also a smidge of nerves in the air too. Will people like our trailer? What will people think of the game? I hope they liked what we are working on. Will they even care? These are just some of the questions that are going through our heads. I guess we will soon find out.
Thanks for taking the time to read this update, and do
follow us on Twitter or like us on Facebook. We will now start posting a lot more info about our game, so take a look at them if you want to be in the loop.
Until next time,

BIC Fest 2018 Award Finalists and Game Localisation
Hello there!
We’re doing this a bit late, but we wanted to share the news anyway! A few weeks ago Etherborn was part of the BIC Fest 2018 in Busan - South Korea, and we're very proud and happy to say that we were a finalist in no less than 4 different awards!
Etherborn was nominated in these categories: Grand Prix
Excellence In Art
Excellence In Experimental
Excellence In Game Design
Other great games such as Wattam and Bossgard took away the prizes, but we're very glad to have been considered for these! It's a big honor for us to share these shows with all these amazing games, and for our ideas to get this kind of recognition. :)
You can read about the awards and check the other games in the BIC Fest website.
And some images of our game in the show.
Languages
On a kind of related note, since the festival was held in South Korea, we wanted to have a more localised version available there. So we managed to prepare a demo with South Korean text and subtitles on time.
In the last weeks, we’ve been working on the localisation to other languages as well, and we're very happy to say that the game is already (almost) translated to English, Spanish, Catalan, German, French, Italian, Russian, South Korean, Simplified Chinese and Japanese.
As a reminder, the game also features full audio in English, Spanish, and Catalan.
A few work-in-progress captures:
This is all for the moment! We'll keep sharing more news, so follow us on Twitter or like us on Facebook for all your day to day updates or join our own Discord server with Fig-only channels as well. And be sure to wishlist the game on the Etherborn Steam page.
Until next time,

Etherborn at gamescom and a snippet of English voice-overs
Hello everyone,
Last week we had the pleasure of being part of gamescom 2018. And the best part was that we had two separate booths - one as part of the official Indie Arena Booth line-up and part of the ICEX Games from Spain booth. We had hundreds of people play our game on the show floor, along with the press, influencers, and other devs as well. Getting live feedback and comments was really useful, and seeing our fans in real life was an absolute blast - thank you!
Below are some photos from the show floor:
Next up on our itinerary - South Korea, and the Busan Indie Games Festival in September. It blows our minds that people on the other side of the world will get to play our game - fingers crossed they will like it.
This week, we also have a little treat. We received the English voice recordings from Natalie Winter - our voice artist that will appear in Etherborn. Hearing her saying those lines makes us feel that the project is becoming alive as days go on. It really is exhilarating and frightening at the same time - it’s a buzz that’s really hard to describe. Below is a little sample from what you’ll see and hear in the game - let us know what you think!
Anyway, that’s it from us for today. We will be making some new announcements really soon, so please stay tuned. And as always, follow us on Twitter or like us on Facebook for all your day to day updates. Plus, we have our own Discord server as well.
And be sure to wishlist the game so that you don't miss our launch on the Etherborn Steam page.
Until next time,

Last 36 Hours on Fig and a New Gameplay Video
Hello everyone!
We are in the last 36 hours of our Fig campaign! We are just under $6,000 short of making the goal! We are excited, nervous, and everything else in between, so let’s make this happen!!
Today, we wanted to keep sharing some more information about Etherborn with you. In this update, we want to show you a new Let's Play video, which shows one of the initial levels from the game.
Once again, our Creative Director Samuel will take you on a tour, and show you Etherborn’s gravity-shifting mechanics and puzzles in action. It is a little glimpse into the world of Etherborn itself.

We are so close to reaching our goal, so let’s make one last final push to get across the finish line, please share our campaign as much as you can! You can also make a pledge, which would be the best thing you could do for us.
Once again, thank you for your support, and please, any feedback, comments, etc - just post away!

Etherborn is now live on Fig!!
Hello everyone!
As you may, or may not know, we launched a crowdfunding campaign on Fig to raise money so that we can give Etherborn a deserved final push in quality.
We are seeking to raise $30,000 that will help us cover the latter part of our game, including story cutscenes, and to improve and polish different aspects of the gameplay systems and visuals. The funds will also help us with our living costs, workspace, PR, software licenses, and a few more bits and pieces.
Now, if you feel that there is something about Etherborn that is exciting, interesting, something that draws you to it, then please, share the news, follow us on Facebook and Twitter , and if you do like what you see, make a pledge. It would mean the world to us.
