Snap turning improvements added and DLC on the way!

Hi everyone!

Long time no see, this is Ally here with a few quick updates.

First of all, we've made some changes to the snap turning system so that it works a whole lot smoother and offers a 30 degree rotation. We always recommend playing in standing if possible, but if that's not an option then this is for you! We're also open to feedback on continuing to tweak this as well, so please let us know what you think.

Second, we've been hard at work on a new DLC area Old Etheria, an ancient home of the Etherian left to ruin and ripe for exploration. Stay turned for more updates on this in the coming weeks (and of course it'll be totally free)!

Have some feedback for us? We'd love to hear it!

Hello, it's Ally from the dev duo here!

With a recent surge in new players I just wanted to open up the conversation again for feedback. We haven't made many recent updates but that doesn't mean we're not listening, and your input not only helps us improve Etherian but allows us to bring you better content in the future (we're already hard at work on a new project).

So if you've spent some time in the world of Etherian and have something to share feel free to comment here, send us an email, or post a review!

Of course, the conversation always goes both ways, so questions are welcome too unless you're going to ask me where secrets are hidden. We're not telling. ːsteamhappyː

Etherian has been nominated for an award (and we could use your votes)!

Exciting news - Etherian has been nominated for Best Digital Game at this year's Design and Game Awards! We're very excited just to be nominated, but we could use your help. If you played Etherian and enjoyed it, or even if you just want to put your vote in and support some developers, we want to encourage you to help choose the winners.

Head on over to http://www.designandgameawards.com to see the finalists and cast your votes.

As always, thanks for your support, and we hope you're enjoying your adventure through the fractures scapes!

Patch 1.02 - "New software to run this vive" Bug Fix

Hey guys,

So we had an issue where the game wouldn't run in Steam for some people and tried to open in a new app or it would try to do that each time a new level loaded and take over your audio, but it should be fixed with this patch. Sorry for the frustration, and If anyone is still having this issue after updating let us know!

Oh, and happy holidays!

Patch 1.01 - A Few Small Tweaks

Happy Friday!

We've got a small(ish) patch for you with a few fixes and features requested by the community. Nothing major, but for anyone who prefers snap turning it can now be enabled from the menu as well as reloading from last save pole location.

For anyone who has been having trouble with the lava killing you without you touching it, that appears to have been a bug that has now been fixed.

On that note, in case you find yourself falling forever and can't bring up the menu, 'R' will reset you to the last save pole, and 'CTRL - R' will restart the level. Of course, if this happens please still let us know and what level you experienced it on.

As always, thanks for letting us know about bugs and features you would like to see!

We've launched, but that doesn't mean we're done! Keep that feedback coming!

So here we are, a week past launch, and though it's been nice celebrating we can't wait to hear what you guys think. Etherian has changed much since early access, and whether you're a new player or you've been with us since then, your thoughts can still be put to good use (and they're like caffeine for a tired dev's soul).

Love it, like it, hate it - all input is good input (the more detail the better), and will help us improve Etherian and step our game up for the next project. That, and we just love hearing from you!

As always questions are welcome too, or if you just want to tell tales of your adventures out traversing the fractured scapes, let's chat!

Launch Trailer, Release Date, and Going Gold!

Long time no update guys, but do we have a big one for you now: we have gone gold! Not only that, but we've got a shiny new launch trailer ready with a release date and everything - and guess what? It's soon!

Nov.8th we will be releasing from early access, and we can't wait to see what you think. After all, we took every comment, critique, and suggestion into consideration when working towards this (yes, really), and we know Etherian is a better game for it.

So consider this a big thanks from the dev team - all two of us - and please continue to help us improve even after launch. We genuinely hope you enjoy exploring Etheria, and though we don't want to give too much away, feel free to ask us anything.

Early Access Patch 03

Evidently the Oculus patch had an effect on Vive users, this is fixed now. Along with this fix, the movement system has changed based on feedback from you guys. The face buttons are now touch sensitive, strafing capable, and you can run twice as fast if you walk use both controllers to walk. A few visual upgrades to the early access maps has also been rolled out with this update.

Also, one more thing, has anybody been able to collect all 8 hand skins?

Thanks!
