INTRUCTIONS TO PLAY NOW AT THE END



TLDR: Ethernal is delayed to give us time to create a release full of content, but you can play the game while we add this content with the Ethernal Playtest.

Hi everyone!

We hope you are having a great day.

We have had some crazy weeks of crunch, poor sleep and no sunlight, but we are finally coming close to ending the game bases. While there are things to polish (as some of you pointed out to us with your amazing feedback), the most important stuff is already done!

To name some of the systems that we have already done (but there are even more):
Weapon systems, powers systems, enemies and AI, player, player controllers and gamemodes, damage system, a new menu system (still not integrated in the crafting tables), crafting system, dungeons system with random generation, combat rooms, navigation paths and navigation support systems... and so on.

There are still a few things to do, mainly the multiplayer implementation, but by far the most important thing we have to do at the moment is content. Almost all the systems are there already, but what good is a power system with 2 powers? Or a weapon system with just 2 guns?

That is why we have chosen to delay the game launch for some weeks. It will still be launching before summer ends (probably next month, but take that with a pinch of salt), so it will arrive in the second quarter of this year.

We are developers, but first of all players, and we know the feeling of buying a game and finding out there is a lack of content.

It is unfair.

That's why we will release the game once we add some big content updates in the coming weeks.

But while we work on the game, you can try it out nonetheless!

How to play Ethernal NOW



If you want to play Ethernal while we add the missing content until a fair release is done, you can ask for access to the playtest by clicking the Request Access button in the Store page.



We give new access at least once a week, but usually once every 2 days.

Ethernal Demo 0.72 Update

Minor bugs fixed:

  • Enemies vertical detection range improved.
  • Volume settings loading was failing. It was not applying the correct volume even tho it was showing the correct settings.
  • Mouse sensitivity slider was bugged. Number was not showing and settings not applying correctly.
  • Pathways improved in Acid Level. If testing goes well, this changes will be done to every level.
