Friday Progress Report 294
The great rebalance!
All crops have been buffed, some a lot more than others, they should all generate in average 1.5 gold/day per medium farm plot, some crops like tubers give slightly more (1.75/day) because you have to sacrifice the harvest of one or more to be able to get seeds, while some crops like melons also give extra because they take very long to grow, but in general all crops got buffs, specially grains, they were really not worth it.
You can see the projected gain per day in the collections screen, as well as the seed score of your best crops, to get 5 stars on each crop you need to get seeds with maxed out positive traits or high trait score.
Building materials are now much cheaper, we are taking the prices down by 80% on average, so buying all your building parts is more viable now.
We are also rebalancing recipes, buffing some less useful ones like Wet Milling, all old sample recipes have been replaced by new updated ones, and many of the ingredients like Cheese and Vinegar are now being sold on Catarina's shop, by next week Reiko and Yukari will be selling finished dishes.
Friday Progress Report 293
We are replacing the default tutorial recipe from the easy soup to easy roast, the previous taught players to dilute their meal using water instead of stock leaving them with a low-nutrition watery soup, now we will guide them towards a roast, much more nutrient packed and easier to make.
Also has a better score than the soup had, a 92 score with 0 skill is amazing for a sample recipe.
We were very busy with polish this week, improving further the cooking by reworking several recipes, buffing more crops and their effects and fixing many bugs, the sample recipes are being completely rewritten to reflect the changes.
And we also improved the game graphically by adding some hue shift to the grass, as well as improving the grass model, and made the sky more vibrant
We are trying to improve the general lighting in the game, but seems to be a lot harder than expected.

Edengrall 1st Aniversary on Steam
Edengrall Developement started about 4 years ago, but the first years were chaotic, filled with failed experients and a lot of trial and error, we barely knew what kind of game Edengrall would be and even the game name was different.
The game only started taking shape this last year, in January 7 2022 we launched on Steam with the following features:
Farming (mostly functional) Cooking (quite broken) Barebones AI (they didn't even speak)
While these new features were added old ones got improvements, fixes, new crops, new ingredients and such, right now the features we have:
Farming (more traits, more crops, buildable pots and farm plots) Cooking (MANY fixes, all recipes have icons and effects now) Modding (official mod support with sample mods) Barebones AI (at least they have some lines now and sell items) Tutorial (step by step tutorial and intro cutscene) Placeholder Gathering (we managed to remove the placeholder fishing, others soon) Building (the building system is working quite well, we want to expand further later) Nutrients (you now need to eat, and get stat boosts from nutrients) Skills (get better at stuff) Charged Tools (every tool has a right click special) Critters (little bugs and such that you can catch and collect) Fishing (meat you can get yourself, using critters as bait) Many new crops and Ingredients
This year development might slow down since we are broke and will be job hunting soon, we want to make exploration the focus for this year, make the player independent from the town and add interesting things to find in the world.
