As we head into 2024, let's have a bit of a retrospective, shall we? 2023 marks 10 years since Versus Evil was founded, and we've built quite the portfolio over the last decade. We look back on early titles such as Yaga, Cardpocalypse, and Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire; we look back on recent notable titles such as First Class Trouble, Eville, and UnMetal; and now, we look forward to our upcoming slate of new releases such as Lil' Guardsman, Tamarak Trail, and Broken Roads. Whether you've been playing our games the day we started or are now just joining the fun, thank you for being on this journey with us. We're forever grateful.

The village of Eville, main menu and tavern are decorated for the festive season and are covered in snow!
❄️ Mysterious Ice Cubes - Luckily, most of the heavily traversed pathways have been cleared for your safety, but the removal of snow piles in the area has brought Mysterious Ice Cubes to surface. Those brave enough to investigate these may even find the following useful items to aid them along their journey:
❄️ Patches of Ice - Watch your step! Puddles of melted snow have frozen over, creating slippery areas around the village that could send you sliding into danger.
❄️ Ice Walls - Unusual weather patterns have created icy barricades that will block your path. Don’t worry, though! They’ll melt over time, allowing you to resume your preferred route through the village.
❄️ Ice Traps - Beware nightfall, as temperatures drop below freezing, creating perilous traps. Step on one, and you’ll be frozen in place for a few seconds, which could mean life or death for someone on the run!
We hope you enjoy Eville’s Winter Fest that is live now through January 11th, 2024. The Event store will go live on December 14th, 2023 through the end of the event.

We hope the beginning of summer has been off to a great start for you all!

We hope you’ve been enjoying your time in Frostpit and getting to know your new Orc neighbors. Other than the huge recent spike in murder, the Orcs have enjoyed welcoming you into their home!
At the start of Season 2, we weren’t entirely sure when to set the end date. We wanted to make sure everyone had enough time to complete the season at their own pace without feeling pressured to hurry or worry that they might miss out on rewards that they’ve been working toward. We’ve also gained a lot of new Villagers since Season 2 kicked off and we want to ensure that they have enough time to progress and enjoy the game as well!
So, we’ve made the decision to extend Season 2 a bit longer, which will now run through July 28, 2023. We’ll also be running another Double XP event June 19 - 26, 2023, so be sure to tell your friends, sharpen your blades, and save the date! At this time this is all we are able to share regarding future game updates, but please stay tuned for that information when it is ready to be shared.
While we have your attention, we’d also like to let you know about an upcoming hotfix to squash some pesky bugs. This patch will be available for download in the next few days so keep an eye out for it.
Update 1.5.4 Patch Notes:
Balance - Strangers can no longer go underground or see other player's identities at night - Ritualists: At night they now automatically teleport to a random Dark Idol they have placed
Bugfixes - Assassination no longer teleports the killer into the void, if the assassinated player stood with their back to a wall - Guard: Bulwark was no longer reducing physical damage if the guard was summoned more than once per game - Burning Papers Quest: Papers no longer spawn inside the wooden beams inside houses - Paint ball sounds no longer play when you enter (or leave) a player home

Changes: - Update of Whitelisted words in profanity filter - Improving Startup - now not blocking the login in case DLCs aren't properly synced
Bugfixes: - Seer Track disappears after a meeting - Player Home Trophy "Frostpit base" not equiptable - Undead and Poltergeist attack players while in day/night transition - Protection potion should work against Undead (Dog and Undead Player) - Undead Dog spawn animation not shown for clients - Undead Dog attacks while day to night transition happens when player stands next to him - Dead necromancer spawns Undead Dog - Voting is possible as a Ghost when you die while in accusation phase (e.g by fall damage or poison) and quickly move to the voting area as a Ghost
