Updated map and more hints



A map generator with rivers and fewer hills has appeared. The global map gui has also been updated, and various map elements now show a hint when you hover over them. You can rename and delete marks on the map. You can also hide individual categories of map elements.

Machine and Recipe Levels



Machines, depending on the material, have a power limit.
Some recipes may not be available for the first machine. For example, the electrolysis of clay requires electolyzer made of stainless steel.

Research tree



Instead of a list of researches, there were categories of researches containing trees. Now it is possible to block some individual recipes of the machine by research. This opens up advanced pyrolysis plant recipes or nuclear reactions

Developed nuclear reactors





The reactor now has its own heat capacity. The less heated the reactor is, the less heat it can give off.

Update 0.18 is the biggest update for Evospace to date.

The game engine has been completely overhauled to support mods, as well as to improve performance and ensure the operation of bases that are larger than the range of sight.
Fps should improve dramatically for all users, especially on large bases. Now you can expand them not only in height, which will further increase productivity.

Robot arm confguration




Most of the blocks have lost theinputs and outputs for items, instead of them, robotic arms are now used. This system has proven itself to be much more flexible and versatile.

Flywheels and pumps



Inputs/outputs for liquids are also removed from the blocks. Pumps are used to manipulate fluids. Flywheels appeared to transfer kinetic energy.

Automated mining




Mining drills appeared for the extraction of ore and stone. At first, the resources in them will be infinite, but later there will be an option.

Researches




There were computers producing research points. The research system uses as a replacement for the old quests system. In the process, new machines and decorative blocks are unlocked.

Nuclear reactors, heat pipes




The way machines consume energy has changed. As before, the speed of their work depends on the level and is 1.5^level, the energy consumption factor now is 2^level. To ensure the consumption of energy, such advanced sources as a nuclear reactor appeared. Others will appear in the future.

Update #17 fixes


(new features in # 18)

Good news! We have made very significant progress with update #18.
Part of the engine regarding the work with the map and blocks has been redone.
In this case, it will remain possible to open maps of old versions.

The main theme and cause of global changes in the new version is mod support. It will also add integration with Steam Workshop, scenario support and performance improvement on large bases.

Meanwhile, a fairly large number of changes have published for 0.17, here are some of them:

Update #17



The wires have been redone, now they form power grids, they do not have a dependence on the FPS bandwidth, they allow you to view the statistics of energy production and consumption through their UI, and when you close the game, they don’t lose the energy contained in them as before.

Switches and logic switches now set the direction of the electricity flow.

Logic




Reworked logical wires that also now form networks. Now you can connect logic wires in 3 dimensions.

Added advanced logic to compare numbers.

A sensor has been added that allows you to export the number of items contained in a chest or the battery charge.

New production




A new Freezer block has been added. It is used to freeze air, as well as to cool hot ingots, such as tungsten and hardmetal (and neutron)

Added chain of oxygen production from frozen air.

Direct and return heat exchangers are added. They can be used to transport or remove heat.

A lot of work has been done to improve the performance of the game on large bases.

The method of scaling recipes has been redone, now accelerated recipes do not give out servings more often, but have large servings.

Fixed a bug that caused the game to crash when trying to load a map saved with an error (for example, due to a sudden power failure to the PC)

Beta summary 0.17-x

The 17th version brings 2 big changes to the engine and hard metal production branch.

Deep work was done on optimization: the method of executing recipes was completely redone (the speed of the machine does not increase the load on the PC), the wires are redesigned, which now creates separate electrical networks (there is no longer a dependence on FPS)

Update #16

Logic Elements





There are controlled valves and switches, logic gates, wires for logic signals, detectors of block working state, as well as indicator lights. They can be found in steel and aluminum tiers.

Simple and complex recipes





Earlier in the game appeared difficult for the machine recipes. For example, a copper hammer is difficult to handle steel ingots. A complex recipe is much slower, a very compex one leads to a breakdown of the machine.

Now simple recipes have been added to this mechanics. They run faster. This mechanic has replaced the old machine speed bonus.

Pumpkin Farms





Appeared pumpkin farms, as a source of organic. And in the future for pumpkin pies!

Update #15



Recipe Levels




Recipes now have their own levels. The level affects the execution of the recipe by the machine. If the level of the recipe is higher than the level of the machine, the speed of execution is significantly reduced. If the recipe level is higher than the machine level by 2, then the machine will gradually break down when executed. A broken machine can be fixed at the moment by simple reinstallation, a repair tool will appear very soon.

High capacity batteries




A new energy storage unit has appeared, however they have a small drain, due to the fact that they need to be heated. In the cooled state they can store energy, but can not give and receive it.

Getting titanium




There was a way to get titanium from ore, and, accordingly, all titanium machines.

Single block chemical and electrolyzer




The old way of building columns from electrolyzers no longer works. Enough to install one unit.

Buffer Chest




Can be used to transfer items between machines. You can line up to create simple and slow ways to move items.

Decorative blocks




Also significantly increased the yield of recipes that create decorative blocks.

Digging Robot Arm




There was the setting of the range of work, as well as the steel version of the hand, which digs forward and does not rotate.

Flexible Recipes




No more "0.04 to 0.1" recipes.
Flexible recipe indicates by animated recipe arrow. Flexible recipes gives output by portions.
Machines no longer lose fractional items due to rounding.

Logistics




Configurable junctions. You can make splitters, crossroads. In the future filter modules will be add to make sorters by conveyor junction.

Screwdriver restrictions




Fuel Rebalance



Reduced fuel value of sawdust. Made the necessary changes to create new machines. Improving fuel efficiency will be done in a similar way with materials, i.e. each stage of the recycling will give some kind of bonus.

Added prototype of fuel pellets. In the future, fuel numbers will change as the stages of its processing appear.
