Rose remastered, first complete release

Hello!

Today two things have happened.

First, I have a small update for you! Rose has gotten some visual improvements to a lot of the exteriors, because it was not quite as good-looking as a lot of the later content. The interior of the Derva weaponsmiths' building also makes more sense now.

Second, the game is now out of Steam's "Early Access". I feel like the game is, overall, presentable enough to be called a completed work. While I still plan to go comb through it looking for things to improve (and later release some DLC content), it will likely not receive any more substantial changes to the overall story.

Full Story Release

Hello!

This update includes Chapter 4. This means the entire game is now playable from beginning to the very end!

This Chapter is another shorter one, with about 2 hours of story, making the whole game roughly 13 hours long.

Since the previous Chapter once again ended on something of a cliffhanger, and with so many loose ends, I hope you will find this content-dense, dialogue-heavy ending to be satisfying.


But what's this? The game is still in early access?
Yes, everything is still very much subject to change. In the following months, I will be reacting to feedback and combing through the entire game to improve as many things as I can.
...and after that?
This is probably not the real end of Fadry. There is still a lot to see and do in its world, and I will likely continue to explore it more through entirely new perspectives. Future Chapters are likely to be added, but have little bearing or relevance to the original story... unless I make a sequel or something.

Fixes and stuff

Hello!

Most importantly: fixed an issue that could prevent any progress in the game if a certain choice was made. This issue was first reported recently, so I hope no one else encountered it, as it forced you to reload a save to before the choice was made, losing around 15 minutes of progress.

Fixed issues regarding a certain choice near the beginning of Chapter 2, including a line of dialogue repeating and the player receiving more items than intended in the form of duplicates.

Gave several lines of dialogue to the barkeep in Derva.

Added decorations and a minor NPC to the port in Chapter 3.

Small stuff update

Hello!

My combing through some of the latest content revealed a few issues. Today's update (technically there were actually two seperate ones) has fixed some miscellaneous, small things;

There was a message from me to players who made it through the entire game up to this point, but it could not be accessed.

A certain character briefly returns near the end of Chapter 3 if you made certain choices. During this, there was internal monologue describing a scene. This was improved, making the situation clearer. This character also mentioned a date, which was off by 2 years because I am bad at math. Formatting was also slightly adjusted to make dialogue flow better.

In Chapter 3, the optional quest taking the player through a small village and its forest has some additional hints that point the player in the right direction, as the conclusion to this quest was easily missable.

Chapter 3 of Fadry is now out! The game is now very much nearing completion, and you will certainly feel that in this Chapter! Many previous choices will now become a bit more relevant again, and the story marches on! I hope you all like the new characters, and the things they get up to.
