Fall of Civilization 1.68 update is here!

Hey guys!
Sorry I have been quite busy this past week so I was considering putting off the update but decided to throw out a small bug fix update instead.
This update includes 24 additions, changes and fixes across the game.
Including:

  • Start Fullscreen
  • More Color Portraits
  • Qucker AI Turns
  • Tooltip Flickers
  • and lots more!

For new customers and old, please report your issues to me and I will be happy to discuss and fix them for you.

Version 1.67 now live!

Hey guys!
This update includes 35 additions, changes and fixes across the game, including:

  • Custom Arena mode
  • Event Log
  • A new Portrait
  • Controlling other factions.

Version 1.66 is here! Now with Arena mode and new tutorial!

Hey guys!
This update includes 58 additions, changes and fixes across the game.
Including:

  • A new hover system for your units so you can see their movement
    and attack range before selecting,
  • Arena mode
  • The In-game tutorial

The Arena mode and Tutorial system are in their first iteration so please give some feedback so I pushforward in the right direction.
While the tutorial is being updated and refined I have also added an
optional "Hints" box to the game.

For the next update I will be updating the Arena mode so it is more
customizable like "New Game", updating the tutorial system and more fixes
and feedback from the community.

Just another quick announcment, I have decided to aim to release this fully
on steam for the end of September as it was the end of September last year
when I started this so it would be a good milestone.
I will work hard to reach that goal and I appreciate all the help the
community gives me and am still working closely with the community to reach the goal of releasing a polished and enjoyable game!

Version 1.65 is here!

Hey guys, I know I promised some big content this week but sadly the new Tutorial among other things is taking a bit longer so I will strive to have it in the next update!
That doesn't mean nothing's here however, this update includes 41 changes and fixes across the game.
Including:

  • A new double click feature (so you dont have to find the UI button if you dont want to)
  • Turn Timer fix and some map crashes I discovered.

No update this week!

Hi all, there's not going to be an update this week so I can focus on adding new content and features!
Things should be back to normal soon though, with plenty of those new features for you to be excited about ;)
Meanwhile there's a big discount for FoC at the moment, to allow for new players to follow the game's progression and enjoy it, whilst it's still being developed.
As such, now's a great time to buy the game if you don't have it and, if you do have it, now's also a good time to recommend it to a friend who might enjoy FoC!

V1.64. More bug fixes!

Hey guys! As promised here is the next build which includes 27 fixes and changes across the game.

Next weeks build will focus more on adding some new features and content to the game which will then be followed by another bug fixing update.
Will also be fixing the bug next week where some of the items are appearing in the floor

V1.63: Bug Fixes!

Hey guys! As promised here is the next build which includes about 30 fixes and changes across the game.

Such as:

  • End Turn HUD (Fix).
  • Units attack and stop (Fix).
  • AI attacking random things (Fix).
  • You can now undo your movement with a unit via the HUD button providing you have moved fully and the previous space is not occupied.

For those of you that like to help me test I have also added a few debugging keys:

  • "1" gives you all resources
  • "2" gives you items for selected unit and your base
  • "3" spawns you more units

Hey guys! As promised here is the next build which includes about 25 fixes and changes across the game. For more info on those check out the changelog in the menu.
One of the bigger changes in this update is the new maps I have added. They still need some work but do let me know how they look so far.

Will just keep uploading these weekly updates with fixes, changes and adds so we are edging closer to a finished product.

Huzzah! Version 1.60A is now up!

Hey guys! The new build, version 1.60A, is up and running.
In this build I updated the engine framework to its current newest version and in doing so retweaked some old features and added some cool new ones.
Biggest changes:

    <*> Hex to Square Grid
    <*> Multi-Level Gameplay
    <*> Half/Full Cover System
    <*> and more! so please check out the changelog if you are interested.


    I did this to make sure I had the most updated tools and access to some new features which would help flesh out the game and make it ready for a final release this year.
    However that update hasnt come without cost, I apologies for the time its taken to sort this out between updates and I fully expect there to be bugs in this update which is why I have called it v.160A and added a warning message in the game menu. After some bug fixing and testing, a patch to fix these bugs will be uploaded within a week of this update.

    I am adding a Google document to this announcement and also opening a discussion post for this update.
