Hotfix #2 - May 18th - Hotfix for Update #2

Hey there,

Just another quick note to let you know we pushed another Hotfix a few minutes ago.

This build fixes the "low frame rate" aka "Machinegun and SMG" freezing the game bug, so if you are running the game on low frame rate you shouldn´t get any freezing problems anymore. Although if your video card is not powerful enough, the low frame rate will still be there on some missions/maps. We will try to optimize as much as we can, when we do the final release, so you can get the best performance possible.

Also we fixed the "undo" bug on the trade shop, so no more exploit there, sorry :) We are probably going to do another iteration on the trade shop experience so its more smooth and clear.

That´s all, now we are going to dive into our planned pipeline, working on the features and content for our next major update.

Hotfix #1 - May 15th - Hotfix for Update #2

Hey there,

We just wanted to let you know we pushed a new build a few minutes ago. In this new build we fixed the bug of the ammo of your weapon going to cero every time you did a trade or loot.

Right now, you can only empty your weapons on the metagame and not during the mission.

Also we did a minor iteration and fix on the area of the mouse over aim for the enemies, that fixed other issues we had with firing enemies below a roof.

If you have started a NEW game with the #Update 2, there is no need to start a new game with this build, but if you were running a previous version from last wednesday is highly advisable you start a NEW game.

Major Update #2 - 13th May - Alotta stuff...

We wanted to let you know about the new update we pushed a few minutes ago. Here is a list of what you will find on it.

Metagame Major iteration



We implemented several features in the metagame and it´s all starting to come together. We still need a few more iterations, but we are happy with our progress here.

Nutcracker

We equipped the caravan with the "Nutcracker", which is an upgradable high tech drill. This drill is able to perform searches all around the map for special items and loots, such as weapons and ammo. You can also pay to hear some rumors on specific coordinates where to find special treasures and weapons. Depending the quality and level of your nutcracker you will have more or less chances to find something and it will also affect the amount of loot you will be able to collect.

Rumors

You can pay to listen to rumors on the different settlements and special locations. Right now, rumors only tell you where you can find special loot zones. But in the near future, we plan to add more, such as telling you where to find interesting weapons, ammo or caravaneers to hire + interesting side missions to earn a few extra scraps and loot. If you want to try this feature right now the only place to do it is Dramine City.

Caravan upgrades

You can now upgrade your caravan in many ways spending scraps. You can upgrade your caravans: speed, a2p cap, inventory cap, sleeping cap, nutcracker level, barter skill.

Weapons icons



We implemented the new icons on the weapons and items. So... good bye white siluette placeholders and welcome colorful icons. Here is a sneak peak:



Weapons augments



We iterate a lot on how to make weapons to be more customizable and upgradable in a realistic way and without making a super mega feature that we will never be able to finish.

We came up with a solution that we hope you will like enough and will satisfy your thirst for weapons customization. Right now all the weapons, melee and range (not consumables as grenades) will have 1 to 3 slots for augmenting and improving the stats of that weapon. So... you can loot this augments and then attach them to the weapon of your choice to improve damage, range, aim % or critical chance. Once it is attached to a weapon, you cannot take it away and attach it to a different weapon, so choose wisely.

For now, you can only get this augments on the trade shop at Dramine, so you may want to drop by and check it out.

New Missions/Maps



We integrated 3 new mission/maps and a cutscene. The first mission/map we implemented is the "National Library", the second is the "graveyard" and the third is called "Dog camp". Here is a preview of the first 2. How do you like it? Can you imagine what type of mission would you need to do at this places?





Inventory system iteration



We listened to your feedback on this and did another iteration of the inventory system. So right now you can split ammo and also empty your guns so you can manage ammo as you wish. You can do this by right clicking over the ammo you want to split.

New creature: mutated dog integration



We have been working on this creature for a long time and we were able to finally integrate it into a map/mission. How do you like fighting mutated creatures? We are planning to add more in the future. Any ideas on what creature you would like to find in the Fallen Universe?




Tactical Deepness



We wanted to keep working on the tactical deepness of the game, adding a few more options to do within the mission. Right now we implemented object interaction, such as opening doors, hacking computers, triggering bombs at a distance, and so on. We still need more time to fully integrate this feature into the different missions/maps, but you can start tasting it in some levels. Please let us know how you feel this, as we plan to iterate it a few more times.

Right now you will find automatic doors and manual door at the map "Car Dump".




Winning conditions



We worked on a lot of different winning conditions, but still didn´t translate them all into the maps/missions. Try the Gas Station level if you want to try one of the new implemented winning conditions, we don´t want to spoil the mission, so that´s the only thing we are going to say about that.

Quest Log



We implemented a Quest Log, where you can keep track of all your active and completed quests in the game.

New Death: Exploding body



We added a new type of death, caused by explodable weapons, such as Rocket Launchers and Grenades. This basically will tear your body apart, so be sure to stick together unless you want to end up like this guy below...

We hope you are wrapping up a wonderful week and getting ready for the weekend.

We wanted to give you a sneak peak of our next update, that we plan to release next week, on May 13th. There are a lot of things coming, so we are excited to share it with you.

Metagame Major iteration



We worked on several features within the metagame and it´s all starting to come together.

Drilling scavenge zones

We equipped the caravan with an upgradable drill. This drill is able to perform searches all around the map for special items and loots, such as weapons and ammo. Update #1 - Women, trading cards and achievements - April 21st



Hey there,

We wanted to give you more information on the update we pushed to Steam today, April 21st.

This is our first update since we launched the Early Access publicly 2 weeks ago.

Please be advised, in order to see all this new stuff you need to start a NEW game, you cannot resume your old saved game. We are trying to find a way where you would be able to resume your saved game, while getting the new content and features, but we couldn´t do that yet. Despite being able to make it possible to resume your old saved game in future updates, please consider in some major updates starting a new game will be required and recommended to see all the changes and don´t run into any issues.

As you´ll see, we already implemented some of your suggestions and feedback on this build, so please keep the conversation alive, we are listening!

Female characters integration



We integrated 4 new female characters in the game. This new characters are spread between the different missions and maps so watch your back.

New male characters integration



6 new male characters were integrated into the game. Main characters Herk, Silas, Desmond, Salvador and 2 new Purgatoris.

New weapons



We integrated 3 new weapons: crossbow, half moon spike and long sword.

Bug fixing



We fixed over 100 bugs in the past 2 weeks. From major, blockers and minors, a little bit of everything was fixed so we hope you have a smoother experience with this build. If you want to report a bug, please refer to the Community Hub on Steam here. We are also going to be posting a "Known Issues" thread in the Forum soon.

Steam Trading Cards



We implemented Steam Trading cards in this update. We chose to have a set of 6 trading cards. We listened to your feedback of adding more color to them and did another iteration of our first approach. Also you will encounter 6 badges, 5 profile backgrounds and 5 emoticons to unlock with this set of trading cards.

Steam Achievements



We integrated into this build a first set of 21 achievements. We plan to add more in the future as we progress with the story and features, so stay tuned.

It has been 3 days since we launched the Early Access on Steam and it feels it was almost a year ago. :)

A lot of positive feedback was received from the first impressions and great suggestions and comments were implemented on the game already.

We also got some tips and advice on some marketing materials, such as the teaser and even the Store Page, that were improved thanks to your help. So it is working :)

We are very happy to see that the conversation continues to grow and feedback is being implemented on the game. So please continue to send us all your comments, suggestions and doubts.

You will notice on the next major update, that we are listening and already changed a lot of the things you mentioned on the Forums. Some of them were already on our pipeline, but some others were only implemented thanks to your involvement.

We are planning to create new threads: "Known issues" and "FAQ" so the Forum can be better organized and clear for everyone.

We are working on several ends to improve the game, while adding content at the same time. Our next major update is scheduled for around April 21st.

Below you can see some of the new characters we plan to integrate on the next build. How do you like them?





Do you notice something different?

Yes! We are going to integrate Female characters on the next update. These characters have their own unique animations, so we hope this will improve a lot of the "visuals" and general "feeling" of the game. Also this will add more variety so not all the characters look alike.

Early Access Released
