For those living in the Northern Hemisphere, Summertime is over. Now it’s time to start thinking about grabbing your coziest blanket and prepare for a chill Autumn.
Time flies! And we are super excited to be able to announce that Immortal Life’s full release is coming very soon! After releasing the 0.9 version last July, we've been working on our full release version during August. We now have a content complete build, but before releasing it we still need to do a lot of internal testing to make sure everything works as intended.
So, our plan is to spend 1.5-2 months finetuning the build while we also keep an eye on the mathematics mechanic, UI and other stuff you deeply care about. We are also working to bring some significant adjustments to the story and the friendship mechanic.
As this work is going to take a while, we want to offer you a sneak peek of the new content that you will be able to enjoy when the full release goes out.
Here are some core elements of the full release that are already finished:
1.A closure for the main story: What really happened on Tragedy Day at the Guiyun Sect? It’s time to finally find out!
2.Housing Update: If you want to overhaul your house, you’ll be able to do it soon. You’ll have plenty of styles to choose from!
3.Roommate mechanic: Once you reach a certain level of friendship with a brother or sister you can ask them to become your roommate once you finish a particular task. We have also adjusted the friendship mechanic so you will get more feedback and a special friendship story.
We have also made some adjustments to the existing mechanics based on your feedback.
1.Check the current quest progress by Guiyun Record: You will be able to check out your current progress in the main questline. You will also be able to check how well you’re doing while unlocking new abilities.
2.New special effects when sending gifts: You will have clearer visual feedback when sending gifts to your brothers or sisters.
3.Backpack UI adjustment: We adjusted the tab pages of the backpack, giving you more filters to check your inventory
4.Banquet System UI Adjustment: A much clearer UI to check information and rewards
There are a lot of tiny adjustments, which we’re not listing here, as it may take forever!
Let us remind you that the content we share here is not the final version. If we find some fantastic ideas from our community or our team changes their mind, we might make some changes during the development period. Please, stay tuned for future updates!
As full release is getting closer, our team can finally work on fixing existing bugs and adjusting the existing content. If you find any issues playing the EA version, we welcome you to leave comments here or tell us on our Discord community. We will try to check as many inputs as possible and try our best to make the best full release version we can.
But rest assured, full release version won't be the final update for Immortal Life. More stories, seasonal events, and special events will come to the game after the full release is made public. We are even considering collaborating with other game developers and IPs to enrich our game!

Apology related to a crash error happening on the JP version
Dear cultivators,
We have identified an issue with the Lin Wanxi questline in the Japanese build that causes the game to crash. It only triggers when using the Japanese build so, if this is not your case, you can ignore the announcement. If you do use the Japanese language when playing, we recommend switching to Chinese or English to avoid this problem when playing the quest in the current build.
We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused. Our team is currently working to resolve this issue, and we hope to have it fixed in our next major update.

Major Update 0.9
Hello cultivators, are you taking good care of your farms?
Another day starts, your farms look beautiful, your foxes are well-fed and with shiny fur, and another major update is ready for you to download!
You might already know about the content of this update, it’s the same from the alpha branch but translated and integrated into the main branch for everyone to play. Although there’s one difference: we fixed the Steam Deck saving problem. BUT, please be careful, it worked when we tested it but might be different on your devices. Be extra careful when doing it and pay attention to the saving messages, try to save frequently in the beginning and if everything is alright, then go ahead and play normally.
HOW TO PLAY ON STEAM DECK
In order to have the Steam Deck saving files you have to follow these steps: 1*. This step needs to be followed just if your main saves are on the Steam Deck, not on any computer. Make a copy of your save files before uninstalling the game. If you don’t know where it’s stored, follow these steps: > Switch your Deck to Desktop Mode. > Open Steam, go to your library and search for Immortal Life. > On the main Library menu that appears on the left side of the screen, do right-click (L2) > Manage > Browse local files. > Copy the folder “SavesDir” and copy it somewhere safe. You’ll need to repeat this process after reinstalling the game to place the “SavesDir” you just copied on the new folder after the reinstallation process. 2. Delete the game from your Steam Deck and install it again. 3. Before opening the game make sure that the saves on your Deck are synchronized with the Steam Cloud. You can do it on Properties > General > Steam Cloud > Keep game saves in the Steam Cloud for Immortal Life. 4. Play normally and test if the saving is working on your device!

The Wandering Vendor now only accepts Plum Coins as her trading currency. She will no longer take spirit stones.
The Wandering Vendor will now bring some new Seasonal merchandise for you.
The Wandering Vendor will no longer bring her merchandise randomly. You can only get certain gifts for characters once they are recruited by the Guiyun Sect. And you will only be able to purchase the water orb after you fish.
The tab Friends and tab Library are now combined into the tab Notes, while the Friends tab will display the Personal Quests you have completed.
The Library tab has been optimized to show a new collection rate display.

The Warehouse can now level up until lv.50, allowing you to store up to 2000 blocks for items.
Optimized the materials required to level up the warehouse.

Alpha branch update 0.9.02
Hello cultivators!
It’s been a while since we last talked. We’ve been busy, working on our latest patch, and we’re super happy to tell you that Update 0.9.02 has an Alpha we will soon be rolling for all of you to try out. The most significant piece of news? Controller support! Finally, you’ll be able to play Immortal Life with your favorite controller, but there’s a ton more content and stuff coming on this new update like new personal stories for some characters and new missions for the main quest.
Please, keep in mind that this alpha update will be available to those that download it on purpose and that it won’t have English or Japanese support. To enjoy the final version, you will have to wait just a little bit longer, while we polish all the bugs and refine the overall experience later.
Without further ado, here’s a list of changes:

HOW TO JOIN THE ALPHA BRANCH OF IMMORTAL LIFE
Step 1: For your safety, start backing up your save files!
This is the most important step as the files of the Alpha branch that will be saved in your Cloud storage will replace those you saved locally, damaging them permanently in the process. To prevent this, disable the Cloud Saving feature and visit the following path to copy the folder with your local saves to another safe location in your computer. Don’t switch to the Alpha test before taking this step.
Save Path: [Steam Library Path]/common/一方灵田/SavesDir/[A folder with numbers in its name]
Step 2: Switch the branch from your Steam library
Right-click Immortal Life in your Steam Library.
Choose Properties…
Choose BETAS tab in the Properties menu.
Enter the code, zhongtian2022 and click Check Code.
Click the select button and choose alpha – alpha test to activate the new branch.
You want to switch back? No problem, click the drop-down menu again and choose none – it will take you back to the Default branch.
