We've decided to devote this publication to talking about weapons and equipment in the game.As you may have noticed, there are two classes represented in the game at the moment: Engineer and Heavyweight. Each class has its own unique (class-specific) weapons that are not available to the other class, as well as common weapons available to all classes.
The player can take two weapons to a mission. One of them must necessarily be common. This is done in order to avoid a situation when the player is out of ammo.
The weapons are placed in slots. They can be roughly divided into the upper and lower ones (behind the back and on the belt).
If you place your hand to this region while playing the game, the weapon icon will appear. If you press Grip at that moment, you will take the weapon into your hands. The weapons can be removed in the same way.
The slots in the equipment menu correspond to the slots in the game: you can choose where a particular weapon will be located. For example, we prefer placing lightweight weapons in the upper slot, and heavy weapons in the lower slot.
And now, let’s proceed to talking about armament.
An important detail: the weapon shoots more precisely if you hold it with two hands.
Of course you can shoot holding the firearm in one hand, and some weapons will hit almost without penalties, an assault rifle for example.
But try shooting the Shyr gatling gun, we reckon that the difference will be obvious at once.
Common weapons
Well then, let’s start with the common type weapons.
SG-17 Assault Rifle
An assault rifle completed with an underbarrel grenade launcher, a standard weapon in the space fleet.It has unlimited ammunition and an automated reloading system. It’s not quite an ordinary one, as many of you have already noticed. Wait for the reloading mechanism to activate, after which the magazine will start being filled with cartridges. Don’t shoot until the magazine has been filled completely, or you will have to wait for the reloading mechanism to activate again.
We’ve decided to implement such a system in order to exclude infinite shooting without penalties.
The rifle has an underbarrel grenade launcher, which can be shot using your other hand. You will have to take each grenade from the belt and load it into the barrel.
There are several types of underbarrel grenades:
- frag grenade
- explosive
- chemical
By the way, you can see the grenade trajectory before the shot to aim more precisely: try pressing the trigger less than fully.
Don’t forget to take additional grenades along before the mission’s start.
If you haven’t taken them, you will see the following warning.
FEG 20H Shotgun
A multifunctional shotgun, a weapon designed for special operation forces.
There are three types of shots:
- conventional (like shotgun pellets)
- incendiary
- explosive
each of which can be shot with dispersion or as a one-piece bunch
you can accumulate up to 6 shots for volley firing
Class-specific weapons
Now, let’s consider the class-specific weapons. Unlike the common ones, you can run out of ammunition with these, so don’t forget to take additional ammunition load before the mission.
Shyr Gatling Gun
A rapid-fire six-barreled machine gun, which runs hot in the process of shooting. With belt feeding.
The customary mode should not provoke any questions, the main thing is to watch for the barrel not to overheat
By the way, you can cool down the barrels quicker by simply rotating them. Try pressing the trigger half-way.
Now, we’ll tell you more about an alternative shot. While you are shooting in the main mode, you can see how energy is accumulated. After the charges have been accumulated you can press the second trigger, there will be a burst of energy in the sector in front of the player. If you press it half-way, you’ll be able to see the boundaries of the zone where the damage will be inflicted.
Crawin Beam Gun
A reassembled smelting unit, it was first used as a combat weapon during the Black and Red Uprising. It shoots an incandescent beam of particles.
Here, everything is quite simple. The alternative mode is more powerful and of longer duration. But the charge consumption is higher as well.
CL-02 Coil gun
A combat energy complex. The tests revealed that it could be used both for shooting and for close-in fighting in case of maximum accumulation of the charge.
It shoots plasma bunches. In the alternative mode, it allows for accumulating the charge.
It is slower but can inflict damage in a greater radius of action and during flights as well.
Having accumulated the charge until a ball like this appears at the end of the barrel, you can inflict damage to enemies in close-in combat.
Impulse Gun
It was invented by the expedition’s scientific department. An experimental installation shooting energy charges. Based on activation of cyrium, a high-potential energy source, one of the expedition’s goals.
The alternative mode will inflict more damage and draw the enemies to the explosion epicenter.
If the charge is hit by another charge, this will result in its premature detonation. Be attentive when the enemies are quite near to you!
Here’s how you can replenish the ammunition load
Rivet Gun
A universal assembly tool. It’s your only weapon during the Silicon mission. It can be connected to the bracelet to make the shot more powerful, consuming its energy in the process.
The charges are unlimited in the conventional mode.
