Update v0.25-3:


  • Potato special ability icons in the map now refresh.
  • Whack Soul limit has a message displaying the daily limit before it get reduced (later in the game you can do up to 280 whack game / day, this would be 14k soul if there were no limit)

Hotfix V0.25-2:


  • Reincarnation Exp has been modified to match how it was before 0.25. There had been a bug that was incorrectly applying reincarnation node modifiers to reincarnation xp as a whole. However, fixing this was a bigger nerf than intended. This has been reversed. Instead, the challenge 8 reward and the reincarnation shop layer 6 perk have been changed to reflect what they were doing before, which is applying an increase to reincarnation xp overall.

Bug Fixes


  • Equipment will drop offline again as long as your inventory isn’t full and is properly scrapped if it is below your minimum.
  • Clicking Dungeon Damage or Residue icons in the talent list will now highlight the correct nodes.
  • Residue bonus upgrade in the fourth row of the Reincarnation shop will now show change instantly.
  • Starting a new game will now properly keep talent and input saves.
  • Next Reincarnation Level should estimate more accurately.
  • Resolved visual issues with Potato and Skull bonuses from Path Challenge
  • Auto whack auto is now auto on while off(line). Or to be less confusing, it is always enabled when you leave the game.


Balance Changes


  • Reincarnation Bonus curve decreases above level 3000 to account for Ascension Bonus
  • Residue prices increase slightly faster with new ways to increase residue income.
  • Equipment bonuses have been slightly changed in Worlds 3, 4, and 5 to allow the 3 new bonuses.
  • Amount of Calcium required to unlock Fermenting in the Cow Factory has been reduced.
  • A new toggle will disable double clicking to equip gear.
  • Mousing over a bag while holding equipment will get a slight delay before it opens the bag.
  • The Auto-quest soul purchase will now also redeem the daily code.
  • A new setting to disable the animated lights in Whack A Potato. Fewer distractions!
  • Class attribute nodes now note that the bonus is applied retroactively to avoid confusion.
  • Map difficulty selection is maintained while navigating the map menu. Should make a bit smoother when rapidly advancing levels.
  • The exp bar in the reincarnation menu will display the amount of exp anticipated for your future level, so you know if pushing just a bit longer will gain you another level.
  • When the equipment menu, clicking on the Farmer will cause him to revive, just like the restart button on the home screen. Farm your gear more efficiently!




Please note that this is a big patch and testing is both time consuming and challenging with low numbers of people. There will ***very likely be changes,*** both boosts and nerfs, to improve balance as we see the results of this major update. Remember, as the player base in an early access game, we all share the load of helping to test and debug along with the developers.
Regarding the parts of the update that are still locked, we’ll be working with some of the players to test the challenges and extra ascension levels as they progress, and those will be unlocked for everyone as soon as possible.

Ascension Update Release Date

Hey everyone,

The update is confirmed to go live on Thursday September 22nd, it will include a lot of fixes & improvement (mostly based on suggestions made here or on the steam forum).

It contains the 2nd prestige layers (Ascension, which requires Reincarnation Level 3000 and Area 4-1-50), which has been in the works since before the game even came out and should expand the game length by x2~ as it includes over 100 upgrades all around the game that will unlock as you Ascend more & more (yes, I know, it's original!).

There will also be new promo codes both for everyone and some exclusive codes for after ascension (not time limited but permanent).

Also, we are considering all suggestions/feedback (we have a big list that anyone can see on the discord) and we try to do as many changes as we feel are useful for everyone. Some of them take more time but we consider them.

In the near future we want to optimize the game as we heard about many having issue when there is too many potatoes on screen, we hear you and will be looking at this part (for now i can only suggest to turn the battle off and lower fps to 15 from the in game settings)

Hotfix

- Fix: Auto Skull wasn't properly working after the last change, it has been fixed now.

Update V0.24-4:


  • Change: Auto Skull Premium upgrade will now work a bit better as it won't go above spending 50% of your skull on expensive upgrade (it will then prioritize attack and hp upgrade which won't leave them at a very low level).
  • Change: Auto Skull base now has page 3 in priority as well.
  • Change: Residue has been added into the Stats page.
  • Change: Whacking a Potato is now on pressing and not releasing the left click.
  • Change: Rancher Special Talent Skill can't be purchased before unlocking the Cow Factory.
  • Change: Dungeon related Talent are also locked (for now).

  • Fix: Offline gain has been slightly reworked (something was off with the monster killed).
  • Fix: The Soul purchase that work offline now got an indicator (they all do, but some weren't clear that they did).
  • Fix: Equipment Auto Recycle does properly work offline now.
  • Fix: Completing or giving up Challenge 8 (Untalented) with Challenge 7 reward was giving back Skull page 3 properly.

Update V0.24-3:


  • New: Monster icon in the Map menu can now be clicked for small information on what they are.
  • New: Enhancing has been slightly modified to have a title text above pointing at how it work.

  • Change: Inventory Bag changing with the mouse will now only work if you aren't scrolling material or bonuses list.

  • Fix: Visual issue on 'Spawn More Potatoes at once' when Buy Max was selected.

  • Translation: Every language should be fully working (Unity was generating a limit and fixed amount of character, we had to add them all manually 1 by 1 ^^ but now it work).

Update V0.24-1:


  • New: Setting 'close on clicking outside feature' which can disable this functionality that was introduced in the last patch (and by default (close on clicking outside feature' can still click the Restart button but i can't add everything that is on the UI sadly it wasn't done properly and reworking this would mean that we rework absolutely every background & game element that we can interact with).
  • New: Setting 'Add Larva popup' to disable having the Larva popup appearing when you want to spend more than 50% of you input.
  • New: Hold the Top Whack button when you have the Auto to trigger it (removing the needs to go into the feature to do it).

  • Change: Infinite Challenge (Classes Path) reward increased from 10% to 15% (the 2 that give 5% remain on the same %).

Update v0.24a :


  • Version in the game will still show v0.24

  • Change: Infinite Challenge (Classes Path), the power applied to stat went from 0.5 to 0.6.
  • Fix: Something got messed up with the Reincarnation formula taking more exp than required. It is now fixed.

QoL Update V0.24:


  • Announcement: Android Release is Thursday 8th September at 4PM GMT. The Ascension Update is Thursday 15th September at 4-6PM GMT (exact time will be announced on Discord the same day)

  • New: The buy system for Potatoes & Skulls Upgrade has been remade to allow a buy MAX, as it is the most requested QoL.
  • New: Inventory has a button to switch between comparing equipment base and enhanced stats.
  • New: Can use the scroll wheel to change inventory bag.
  • New: New Soul QoL purchase to scrap equipment automatically when the inventory is full.
  • New: Little Popup after 48h to kindly ask you to go review the game if you are enjoying it (honestly if you don't like the game... don't, just please DON'T ^^).
  • New: Equipment tutorial with a little arrow showing the new compare Base/Enhanced button and recycle all (with a new message explaining how to lock/unlock equipment).
  • New: Clicking outside Features that aren’t fullscreen now closes everything.

  • Change: Infinite Challenge (Classes Path), have been reworked to make your stats ^0.5 instead of Potatoes ^2 (it should help make it more balanced). The reward is also additive instead of compounding (it will fit better with some upgrade in the next big content update, and if this is too big of a change, but it shouldnt, i will rework it again).
  • Change: Whack Bonus popup is now in the center of the screen.
  • Change: Challenge now has a small info, so it is clear that it does a Reincarnation (and that you earn everything a reincarnation would).

  • Fix: Cow Factory Shop 'Confection Exp' upgrade was displaying a wrong price when selecting it.
  • Fix: Potato Upgrade 'Skulls' was showing 1% per level instead of 2%.

  • Translation: Sweden has now been fully added to the game (thanks to mifflo/tomtenmarkus ^^).
  • Translation: Chinese / Korean / Japanese / Russian fonts should be displayed properly and look a lot better. Let me know if this isn't a better change.
