Devlog: 18: Working on a Tutorial Book
Hello there, Farmers!
It’s been a busy month for us, as we continue to improve the game as much as we can. We’ve recently started working on a tutorial book.
Our game has a lot of mechanics, and we are trying to make them as simple as possible, but without good tutorial, it will be hard to learn them. That’s why we have decided to implement a tutorial book where we will include all mechanics and descriptions. We are still working hard on it, but it will be added in the demo version! Below you can take a look at our early concept (WIP):
If you have any suggestions regarding the game, feel free to share them on our Discord server! Remember also that the demo version of Farming Life will be available during the Steam Game Festival: Autumn Edition!
During the event, you may expect livestreams, chat with devs and lots of fun! We will give you more details soon. If you have any questions or suggestions, feel free to share them on our Discord server!
As you might know from previous devlogs, our main characters Sam and Linda, have left town and moved to the farm, but they still have old friends there. ːsteamhappyː
Sometimes their friends will ask you to help them, and by doing this, you will get rewards and gain your friendship status. You can also reject quests from them... but you don’t want to let them down, right?
Stay tuned for upcoming devlogs from Farming Life. If you have any questions or want to know more about the game, feel free to join our Discord server!
As Farming Life continues to develop, we are improving our game as much as we can! Today, we would like to show you our new building fence system. ːsteamhappyː

Expanding your farm requires more hands to work, so you’ll have to hire additional farmers. Today we will show you how to hire farm employees and give you various managing tips!
Before you start hiring farm employees, you have to build living quarters, where they will sleep and rest.
Then, go to the Employment Agency and hire farmers. Create your dream team, wait until they arrive on your farm and start working hard together!
Remember that as a great agricultural entrepreneur, you have to supervise your employees and keep them satisfied by paying salaries on time and letting them rest after working in the fields.

Apart from managing your farm and cultivating various plants, Farming Life allows you to raise farm animals. As a great agricultural entrepreneur, you have to provide them with appropriate conditions by preparing livestock housing and regular feeding. Taking care of your animals is crucial and will ensure you the profit.
At the farm, you can keep cows, goats, geese, horses, pigs, ostriches, pigeons, chickens, rabbits and sheep. Be sure to take care of them and enjoy a farmer's life! Manage your own farm, cultivate crops, raise farm animals and watch your farm growing more significant!
