The project, initiated by John Deere and funded by EIT Food, Europe’s leading Food Innovation Initiative, is meant to highlight sustainable technology in agriculture. If you missed the original announcement of the project, find out more below!
New & Improved Features
You can look forward to the following features to be added in the new version of the Precision Farming Free DLC. Each new feature was discussed between all collaborating partners in detail - and, of course, in consideration of the feedback we got from you! We will share more and detailed information about each new feature in the upcoming weeks upon release. Stay tuned!
New Precision Farming Features in FS22
While the focus of the new Precision Farming Free DLC lies on completely new gameplay mechanics, we're bringing back soil types, soil sampling, variable rate fertilization and economic analysis, too. Not only that, we're improving on them. If you can't (or won't) spend the time to take soil samples all by yourself, you can now acquire soil maps from a service provider directly.
If you want to try Precision Farming with the above-mentioned set of returning features, you can by downloading it on ModHub for Farming Simulator 19. It's available to download directly in-game on PC and consoles. Go ahead and try it while we work on expanding it for Farming Simulator 22! The introduction video for FS19 tells you more about the precision farming mechanics.
Goals and Members of the Collaboration
The EIT Food funded project aims to provide knowledge regarding sustainable farming technology. Implementing Precision Farming in the global video game phenomenon Farming Simulator is one of EITs multiple steps to increase awareness.
Various other partners from the European Union are part of the project: The University of Hohenheim (Germany), the University of Reading (Great Britain), Grupo AN (the largest cereal cooperative in Spain) and the Institute of Animal Reproduction and Food Research of Polish Academy of Sciences cooperate to promote the technology.
Downloaded more than one million times, the first version of the Precision Farming DLC for Farming Simulator 19 proved a great success.

Dutch manufacturer Ploeger is introduced with the second content update, adding its latest four-wheeled manure spreader - that is yet to be introduced to the market. Yes, you can operate it in the game before it's fertilizing real soil! Find all new additions below.
Especially harvesting enthusiasts have something else to look forward to: With the Fendt IDEAL PL and Massey Ferguson IDEAL PL also comes an exciting feature: Electric slope compensation allows the header of various harvesters to dynamically adjust itself to sloped terrain.
If you get the new machines at the dealership, you'll also notice Motorex being present: The "Oil of Switzerland" is now an official partner of Farming Simulator. More improvements and bug fixes included in the patch enhance the virtual farming experience.
New Clothes For Your Characters - And You!
There are some new clothing options, too: Get a new hoodie, T-shirt and cap for your character. Or, even better, for yourself! We opened our new merchandise store, today. Some clothing items might seem familiar. Check it out!

Machines For Grapes, Olives & Grassland
With the Antonio Carraro Pack, you get specialized equipment from Italy. All the new additions to the vehicle fleet allow you to operate with extreme maneuverability in special conditions, like steep gradients and narrow spaces.
Antonio Carraro tractors offer extremely compact construction combined with tight turning circles and optimal visibility to all sides, allowing you to reach every single vine and grove. Especially useful are reversible driving seats, allowing farmers to change direction in an instant.

What to expect from the new patch?
We're working hard on a series of optimizations, including a fix for crashes that appeared most recently on last-generation hardware. We got some reports, that loading heavy save games or joining a multiplayer session with these save games, might result in the game crashing. This issue will be resolved with Patch 1.3.
Of course, there's a lot more: The price fluctuations display will now display minimum and maximum prices over the year, contract progress notifications got added, the CLAAS Lexion 8900 receives a wheeled US configuration while fans of the Case IH Magnum 400 can enjoy PowerDrive transmission.
Expect even more bug fixes and improvements. We're currently compiling the change log and will share it with you when the patch is available to download.

A free content update is available for Farming Simulator 22. It's part of patch version 1.2 and adds a total number of 16 machines and tools to the game. A lot of other additions and quality-of-(farming)-life improvements as well. While the Case IH Quadtrac with up to 692 units of horsepower makes a well-deserved comeback alongside its brothers, the Case IH Rowtrac and the Case IH Steiger, new brands are introduced, too. American manufacturer ABI Attachments makes his debut alongside Danish Kongskilde Industries and the Dutch company Vervaet. See the complete list of additions to the dealership below.

Numerous other additions and improvements enhance the farming experience: We also added new placeables like a mobile home and an old barn, including the option for free placement to allow for more dynamic farm building.
