We have been working with our development partners this month to continue to improve the user experience of FAST BEAT LOOP RACER GT. Based on the state and limitations of the original Arcade code, we’ve still been able to make additional adjustments to maximize your enjoyment of the game.
Region Settings
Options/Matchmaking Regions
After you update and launch the game, you will immediately notice the game will detect your geographic region and automatically pair you with available players in your region during multiplayer racing. This will substantially improve connectivity issues some players have been experiencing.
You can switch regions at any time and turn off the setting by selecting “None” on the Region menu but that will increase your chances of lost connections. You can also turn off regional matchmaking in the multiplayer screen by unchecking the option.
Private and Keyword multiplayer mode is not affected by the Region settings, but the same connection issues will apply when racing friends from other regions.
Options/Video
Windowed Mode is supported by PC with Windows 7/8/10. The Size of the Window will vary based on the Screen Resolution you select. Borderless Full Screen Mode is supported by Windows 7. On Windows 8 and 10, the window may still display.
Once you make a change to these setting and exit the video screen, you will see an advisory that the 'changes will only occur after you exit and restart the game.'
Lag Improvement (Automatic)
We were able to modify the code to be more forgiving of lag issues in multiplayer racing. While it won’t help extremely poor connections and/or lag caused by regional differences, there will be an overall improvement in drop frequency when playing within your region.
Custom Settings
After the update, you will need to go back and reset any custom changes you made in your profile including:
Window Size
Language
Controllers

The New Build and Troubleshooting
Latest Update – New Build
Hi FAST BEAT LOOP RACER GT racing fans. We’ve uploaded a small update yesterday which fixes the issue of Japanese text appearing in the game and not being able to change it – the game will now either display Chinese or English based on your choice in the Language option.
We have logged all the reported issues and will work with our developers and the original COIN-OP code the game is based on.
The developers have indicated when you post an issue it is extremely important to provide the following information:

Also, although we have mentioned it before and it has been posted by users on the discussion boards, it bares repeating – The game does not function properly when the user sets a framerate above 60 FPS or a refresh rate about 60hz. Doing either of these will result in anyone or all these issues:
1. Failure to open or crash on Win 10 Computers.
2. Lost connection on multiplayer games.
3. Screen Freeze.
4. Failure to have scores recorded.
Controllers – right now the best solution is make sure BIG PICTURE MODE is running before you launch the game.

We're Back!
With a little help from Steam :), we've been able to update the build and can confirm that Racing is underway! The game should update automatically, but if for any reason it does not, the best suggestion is to uninstall the game via the Steam Client and reinstall. We have tested the update and the game should work inside the Steam Client as intended.
We are reviewing the discussion board for all comments and will update info on those boards.
