Fat[EX] Courier Simulator - Devlog #50 "Take it or throw it!"

Hello Couriers!

One of the very important game mechanics that you will be able to use in the game is the ability to… creatively handle the packages. Or simply said - to throw stuff around!

"But why would you even try to throw my packages around?" - you might ask. That’s a great question and quite honestly... it’s not recommended to simply throw the products that your customers have ordered and are impatiently waiting for. However there are instances where throwing them might be the only option allowing you to do your job! And as we are the best courier around we leave no job unfinished!

You will also have an option to pick other objects aside from the packages! Sometimes you will have to solve a short puzzle with that ability or clean the place that you are currently in. All for the sake of your customers. Hope they will pay you extra for that... It would be such a shame if our undertakings went unnoticed.

And even if they don’t pay you, at the very least you will have a clear conscience and you will know that you helped someone. Or perhaps even helped the whole planet by placing trash in an appropriate container? While you’re at that you can practice your throws - who knows maybe basketball career will become a second career option for you?

Take it or throw it - decision is yours!

Best regards,
Fat[EX] Courier Simulator Team

Fat[EX] Courier Simulator - Devlog #49 "Places to go, places to see..."

Hello Couriers!

Let’s take a closer look at some of the places you will have the chance to visit when working as a courier!

Customers are very different, some of them are expecting their packages in their homes, some of them are still in-work when you deliver their goodies to them. Thank God they gave you their work address otherwise you wouldn’t be able to deliver their orders!

Sometimes you will have to visit different workplaces where work never stops and deliver your packages amid many, many others. Better not to drop it or you might confuse your deliveries with some others!

Honestly, sometimes your work can get crazy. But as you are determined enough to manage every single order you will even be able to climb roofs of the houses just to deliver. Because you do always deliver!

But from time to time you will have a chance to simply bring the packages to peaceful customers waiting for you in their houses. Maybe they will even invite you for a cup of coffee?

You will have many, many, many places to visit!

Best regards,

Fat[EX] Courier Simulator - Devlog #48 "Don’t be distracted!"

Hello Couriers!

On a particularly busy day you might get a lot of requests and you will have to make sure that all of them all realised within the timeframe specified by your customers!

2-3 or even more places to go at the same time can be a little bit overwhelming but with careful planning and calm thinking you’re definitely going to be able to deliver everything in order!

A short break to check the fountain might be helpful in order to cool down a little but don’t get distracted for too long! You have places to go, people to see, parcels to deliver!

Always need to remember to refuel from time to time! It would severely impact your customers if you were suddenly to have an empty tank and lose precious time regarding their deliveries!

As the delivery was for a pharmacy it’s nice to see that we were able to deliver it on time. Who knows - maybe we just saved someone’s life or at least make someone’s difficult day a little bit better by carefully picked medication?

Always remember that deliveries happen for a reason! Good job out there!

Fat[EX] Courier Simulator - Devlog #47 "Mistakes were made…"

Hello Couriers!

Once in a while we all make mistakes… but somehow it is so much painful if it’s a mistake that happened to a courier that was supposed to bring our package today, right?.

There are several types of mistake that a courier needs to be aware of to not repeat them and after thinking about it for a while we decided to list them up for you so they will work as a kind of warning for you to always be careful!

A courier should definitely never mistake an order. It’s enough to imagine the disappointment of a customer waiting for his package when they discover that it’s not what their ordered. It’s even more painful when the orders are visibly different in size as the mistake is even more pronounced then!

Destroying or damaging a package is a big no-no! We would say that is the worst thing that can happen to a courier and if it’s their fault that it was destroyed it’s really difficult to explain to the devastated or angry customer the situation. Make sure to be careful when handling their orders!

Never forget about properly securing your cargo. If it falls out of your truck because you forgot to close the hatch or doors… well, be prepared for some very uncomfortable and stressful consequences…

Always remember the size of your track. There will be some passages where you will be unable to go through and if you try you will get stuck. The same goes for the gate in your own garage – always open it properly or you will most likely have a very costly accident!
Can you think of any other mistakes that courier can make?

Fat[EX] Courier Simulator - Devlog #46 "Just park it over there!"

Hello Couriers!

Many of most likely know that annoying feeling when you’re trying to find a parking spot and suddenly all seem to be taken except this single one that is just so narrow…

Being a courier means being a driver. You and your truck are a combo that cannot be separated! You’re delivering packages together and you’re going through different hardships together, that’s a given. For example this place, let’s take a look at it!

But even though you should respect your truck sometimes having it will also mean having to go through certain problems. In this particular case the guy who told us to come for his stuff asked us to park in a very specific and narrow spot. Well, it’s not the worst place and you can expect many worse places to park in future but nonetheless – it’s easy to cause an accident so let’s be careful!

That will not happen in real life, unfortunately, but in this case we have some technological help – the camera switches to one above us making it a little bit easier for us to park in the designated place. That’s nice, thank you camera man!

And voila! It’s done! Well, actually it’s just the beginning, we just parked but it’s okay to feel a little happy even for the smallest achievements! Anyway, as you can imagine you will see many different challenges during your work as a courier so be mindful and careful!
Thankfully there’s no instructor to rate our parking skills but it won’t hurt to be extra careful!

Fat[EX] Courier Simulator ~ Devlog #45 "Day and night (and evening too!)"

Hello Couriers!

”That was a long day…” is what one can say after a particular busy shift. For every day, however, there is a matching night, and for every night another day.

Driving through the city, delivering parcels and boxes all around is a busy and sometimes very dangerous job even if you conduct your activities through the day. Watch dogs, mean customers, terrible weather conditions can make one simple day a true horror to go through. It’s however not the worst if you finish all your tasks before sun goes down…

But what if it’s already dark outside and you’re still driving around? Frantically looking for that one last person living in a place so complicated to navigate through and not seeing any possibility to make it before night? Or worse – what if someone orders late delivery? Well then, you have to buckle up and be ready for everything – you’ll be cruising through the night.

City might not be too problematic then – after all you have all the lights that are typical for big communities! But what if you had to deliver something to more remote regions? Somewhere where it’s creepy, lonely and sad? You need to be tough enough to do that soldi-- I mean courier!

Be brave my friend! Remember as it happened throughout years – after night there’s always another day!

Fat[EX] Courier Simulator ~ Devlog #44 "Garage"

Hello Couriers!

Every journey has to start somewhere – it’s just in the nature of every adventure to have a starting point. In case of our deliveries that would be garage.

Garage is the place of a unique significance – it’s the safe place where the packages are being stored before they land in our hands. It’s here that you need to go to pick-up the box that the sweet old lady from the neighborhood has ordered and it’s here where an order is waiting to be delivered to a young man in his twenties.

Garage is safe and in order to get to it you need to manually open the secured gate that is separating the outside world from our storage. Only couriers can access this particular gate and only they can open it letting the car inside. It might be a bit of manual labor that you have to do but as they say – life can be hard.

After picking up the package you might want to safely put it in your truck, make sure that it will not be damaged during the transportation, close the cargo space and drive off – not quite into the sunset as not all customers live in that direction. You will definitely make someone happy today!

Always remember to check your garage to see if there is an additional package to be delivered sitting in there!

Fat[EX] Courier Simulator ~ Devlog #43 "Roadblocks"

Hello Couriers!

In life of every courier there are those moments when you simply have to scratch your head and think to yourself – “why does it have to happen on my shift?”.

Not every road in the game is straight and easily leads to delivery target. Sometimes you will have to think outside of the box and come up with your own solutions. Especially when you will have to deal with things like aftermath of natural disasters or roadblocks!

Usually finding another road would solve the problem but some of the more creative minds might think about easier and more convenient solution to the problems – like for example cutting through the mountains in order to save time. Well… it will not always be possible and sometimes it will have less than desirable outcomes.

Best regards,
Fat[EX] Courier Simulator Team

Remember that in the end you’re the one responsible for the delivery and it’s up to you to satisfy the poor guy waiting at home for his parcel!

Fat[EX] Courier Simulator ~ Devlog #42 "Broken shipments"

Hello couriers!

Sometimes it happens that the parcel that we were supposed to deliver was slightly damaged (or completely).

At this point, we can try to deliver it or throw it into the trash and not get a delivery reward.

What would you do in such a situation?

Best regards

Fat[EX] Courier Simulator ~ Devlog #41 "New day, new delivery"

Hello couriers!

A new day for our courier means a new day full of deliveries and interesting adventures. Remember to make it before the evening when you will be delivering the parcels for your customers, otherwise, your delivery will be late and you will not be paid for it.

Do you think there should be financial penalties for non-delivery to the customer?

Best regards
