Update 1.1.0 - improved AI, savegame support and more
Namaste! We have just released the major patch that adds much more dynamic to the gameplay!
Added the possibility to save and load games (10 slots);
Reworked AI (so now it is proficient in war and economy as well);
Fixed bugs with sudden stop of the army and loss of control over army;
Improved the combat mechanics;
Improved the combat formulas for each unit type;
Fixed the screen resolution problems;
Optimised overall performance;
Made a number of other additional bugfixes and improvements.

It's time to lift the veil of secrecy: we are working on a major update v.1.1 (codename Akbar), which is scheduled to go live in the first half of November.
The main innovations will be well-developed AI and the possibility to have and manage multiple armies. Thus, the game will acquire a much greater tactical depth: you will not only have to plan offensives on different fronts, but also actively bother with defence against the British AI juggernaut or your petty opportunistic neighbours!
This is only the beginning, as in the subsequent updates following features will be implemented (in order of priority):
A large number of historical and alternative historical events occuring throughout the game;
The mechanics of discontent and rebellions (the more developed and culturally distinct is a province, the higher is the unrest growth in it);
A new abstract resource: the Influence that will be used to claim territory and support rebellions in the lands of your adversaries (a decent way to end with the stronger enemy);
Diplomacy and proper reflection of the protectorate system;
New types of historical troops - more special ones, such as Bikaner camel riders or Mysorean rocket artillery;
Formable countries, such as Balochistan, Rajputana, Dravida Nadu and others: if your principality completely conquers its cultural region, you can transform it into a more solid state and change its flag and name;
Various minor fixes, further improvements of AI and interface;
New achievements.
In the more distant future, we plan to add more Indian flavour and India-specific mechanics:
Real historical personalities as commanders and governors;
Deeper protectorate mechanics according to different statuses of the subject princely states of British India;
Various types of historical taxes and laws specific to India and neighbouring lands;
Technology tree;
Improved mechanics of trade and production, designed to simulate the economic development of India in the 19th century;
Map expansion to include parts of Central Asia and simulate the Great Game between the British and Russians.
In general, our strategic goal is high historicity and attention to the details. Stay aware, as from now on, we will regularly share with you the details of the development process. The first developer diary will be published next Thursday!
