Rulebook for printing

If you've played Fated Kingdom, you know that it's very important to know the rules in our game. They are accessed through the main menu. But for some players who are used to physical versions of board games, reading a document from a computer is not that convenient.

Therefore, we maintain an online policy document in both available languages from the outset. This document can be opened on your phone or on a second monitor. But it will be most convenient if you print the text. So it will always be in front of your eyes.

Here is a link to the printable Rulebook. The linked text is updated at the same time as the rules in the game itself, so you always have access to the most recent edition of the rulebook.

Hotfix 1.7.41.200a

Version: 1.7.41.200a.
Download size: 265 MB.

In the last update, the project was transferred to a new version of the Unity engine. Unfortunately, this caused some problems with Fated Kingdom. They have now been fixed.

Bug Fixes:

  • Encounter cards were displayed incorrectly.
  • Some cards were completely white in the gallery.
  • The cards in the gallery had bright white corners.
  • By default, the game ran in full screen and at maximum resolution, which caused problems on monitors with an aspect ratio other than 16: 9.

If the game continues to use the settings from the previous version after the update, use the Alt+Enter keyboard shortcut to force the game into windowed mode. Then you can easily go to the graphics options menu and configure them so that it is comfortable to play. Important: if you have a 4: 3 monitor, then we recommend playing in windowed mode!

Update #39

Version: 1.7.41.200.
Download Size: 119 MB.

As promised, we are releasing another update to Fated Kingdom. We significantly reworked the textures of the game, which allowed us to achieve better performance without a noticeable decrease in graphics quality. The official Rulebook has also been updated. We took into account the criticism and wishes of many players regarding the interaction with the inventory and the hand zone. Be sure to try playing by the new rules!

This is not the last update to the game, but we intend to take a short break in the coming months. Since its release, the project has changed significantly for the better, and in the future we will continue to release minor adjustments to balance and localization. Perhaps we will translate the game into new languages. But the updates frequency will decrease as we are working on something else in parallel right now.

Rulebook:

  • Added clarification about paying for Tower cards.
  • The active player can no longer use cards from his hand in combat, only cards from his inventory.
  • Players can move cards between inventory and hand with no card limit, but only on their turn.
  • Added mention of combat dice symbols to the combat section.

Performance:

  • Optimized textures, that had a positive effect on the resource intensity of the game and its performance without reducing the graphics quality.
  • A tab has been added to the options menu for adjusting resolution and graphics.
  • Removed the default Unity game setup UI.
  • Game launch has been accelerated.

Other Changes:

  • Removed an extra empty card that got into the previous version by error.
  • The ability to change the color of guilds has been removed from the editor interface. It was redundant due to the fact that the colors of the guild cards did not change.
  • Fixed errors and typos in descriptions of more than 20 cards.
  • Minor text and localization fixes.

About Next Update

It's time to share further plans for Fated Kingdom post-release support. This week we are going to release another update, which can be divided into two parts.

First, we will continue our optimization work. For this we have reworked almost all textures. Don't worry, the game won't change visually. But it will consume a little less computer memory (both RAM and space drive).

Second, we will make some adjustments to the rules, as well as fix problems with certain cards. It is also planned to restrict the active player from using cards out of hand. Right now it gives him too much advantage in attack.

Editor guide is updated!

After the publication of the first version of the editor's guide, we received a lot of questions from those interested in creating Fated Kingdom modifications. We have collected feedback and have just updated the guide. Now it is much more convenient to use it!

If you still have any problems with the editor or have any questions, be sure to write to us. This way we will quickly find out about the existence of flaws and quickly fix them.

In the coming days, we also plan to talk about the next update to the game. Follow the news! And thank you for playing Fated Kingdom!

Badges, Emoticons and Backgrounds

After adding Steam Trading Cards to Fated Kingdom, we were asked: why are they even needed? Many have already received eight cards and do not know what to do with them.

It's actually very simple If you have at least one copy of at least one card, then you can make a badge for your profile. Along with the badge, you will receive a random Steam chat emoticon and/or profile background. There are ten emoticons and ten backgrounds of various rarities in total. All emoticons and profile backgrounds can be seen at the Steam Points Store.

After creating the badge, you may collect cards again. If you manage to collect all fifteen cards again, then you can create a next level badge. The maximum badge level is fifth.

Well, if you don't need all this goodness, then you can sell it on the Steam marketplace. It is also worth noting that in very rare cases you can get metal cards. A special metal badge is created from them.

Steam Trading Cards is here!

Fated Kingdom gets Steam Trading Cards Support! The game has reached the required metrics for Valve approval, so you can now receive random cards as you play.

There are fifteen cards in total. You are guaranteed half of it just for playing Fated Kingdom. And the rest you either have to change on the Steam marketplace. After collecting all fifteen cards, you can create a special badge dedicated to our game.

If you have already played a little, you will receive a part of the cards immediately after entering Steam.

We will talk about other features of the Trading Cards a little later. Until then, play and get cards. Good luck!
