The Big Fat Update!
Hello again Fatty Rabbit Hole fans!
It's time to lift the curtain and unveil the newest update for the game - version 1.8.23, or as we'd like to call it, the Big Fat Update.
There's a lot of new stuff, so here are the biggest new additions to the game:
New Limited game mode
Fatty Rabbit Hole now has two main game modes: Endless, which is the original game, and Limited, which is a new way to play. Instead of suffering the pseudo-randomness of the spinner wheel, you can now play the game's levels in a set sequence - which have been thoughtfully put in order to make the difficulty of the game ramp up as you make your way down the list.
This mode levels the playing field for Leaderboard positions, so everyone gets the same game, and you don't have to hope for a good wheel spin to achieve a high score.
12 new seasonal games
We've added 12 new seasonally appropriate games to Fatty Rabbit Hole, each with its own special challenge. Every month, for about 2 weeks, a new seasonal game is available to play, and each game has its own scoreboard, both locally on your computer and on Steam. We hope you'll try each new game, and see what's new!
New scoreboards, stats, and achievements
We couldn't add a new game mode and 12 seasonal games, each with their own scoreboard data, without including an improved scoreboard experience, so this new version of Fatty Rabbit Hole comes with a massively improved scoreboard, which highlights the top 3 winners and has multiple pages - for both Endless and Limited game modes, and all the seasonal games. We've also greatly increased the amount of scores the scoreboard tracks, and added level numbers to scores, so you can see how far you got.
There are three new stats on the stats screen as well, for the new seasonal games.
Finally, we've added some new achievements for completing the game in Limited mode, and for playing each of the game's seasonal game types!
Linux support
This update also brings support for Linux (Ubuntu 18.04), so if you're interested in gaming on Linux, we've got you covered!
New languages supported
Fatty Rabbit Hole now comes with full translations in Spanish, German, and French. Now you can fill your panza with süßigkeiten while you fall down the trou!
And a lot more!
In addition to everything above, we've made a lot of small changes, enhancements, and improvements to various parts of the game. We'll include the full list in a patch note following this post.
The Big Fat Update will launch soon, so keep an eye out for it. Thanks for reading!
It's been a while, fellow eaters!
Hello everyone - long time, no see!
We've been busy working on an update for Fatty Rabbit Hole, which we're hoping to have out soon. It'll bring a lot of big and little improvements/changes to the game, and clean up a few bugs we've found since the last time we pushed a patch.
There's a new article on IndieDB if you want to read the details about what lead up to all these changes.
The long and short of it is that we've had to do a lot of work under the hood to get the game updated (which has included upgrading the game engine itself), but we're excited to show you what we've been working on and hope it's something you'll all enjoy.
Apologies for being so vague, but please stay tuned! See you sooooooooon! ːsteamhappyː
