I know a bunch of you have been hyped for this project for a long time and have been patiently waiting for something to come out of it only to find out you needed to wait longer.
Well I have some good news for you who are okay with waiting just a bit longer
We are working on a separate prologue title that. Takes place 5 years before the main game and is a short introduction to the lore of Fazbear. This release will also contain a mode a lot of you have been asking for and hopefully will be ready very soon as the world is 70% complete.
We plan on having this be an authentic FNAF experience tone wise but a completely new gameplay style to the series proper.
So all I can say is get a friend and get ready for “Fazbear Nightmare: Episode Schmidt”
Coming this fall
Proper game release planned for
Q1 2018
Development Update July 20th
Hey all
I figured I haven't posted a dev update in a while and I don't wanna post the next lore piece just yet ;)
So here's where we are at with development and some studio news.
We recently hired a new writer to help with the script and expanding some of our minor lore, the story itself is fully done and being implemented.
We are done 60% of the environment building for the rough version and are starting some external play testing.
We have begun Imprinting basic VR function (only have a DK 1 at the moment to work with)
The gameplay is mostly ready (missing only a few mechanics at this time.
The AI is being built.
We have moved a couple of the staffers from the Trillium Prototype to help with the Fazbear build.
We have the rough trailer but want to redo most of the footage to better fit the style of the game
We also have started bringing on more voice actors ranging from industry veterans to newcomers and YouTubers
That is all I can say at the moment.
Thank you all for your continued support
Claire
Clip from old "Trillium County News" [L]
A press release from William Afton of “Afton Telecom” representing both his organization and the late Frederick Faz of “Fax Robotics”, announced that due to recent tragic events he would be stopping the development of the collaborative project ” The Trillium Mall”
The mall was designed to be part mascot amusement park and part high tech shopping centre focused on the theme set forth by Frederick's children's restaurant Freddy Fazbear's”
We will continue to update on this story as more details are released
Happy Canada Day!!
Happy Canada day to all of you amazing canucks out there!
New Email [L]
Charlie,
I got an email from Mrs Brooks about a ceremony for your old friend Michael.
It's at your old school back in Trillium County on the anniversary of the incident
I know it's something you need to do but be careful, that quiet little town has caused so much tragedy for this family.
It's taken so many of our loved ones, that's why I moved right after the accident with your father.
I miss him so much, I see him more and more in you everyday he would be so proud of you.
I left you the keys to the old family home if you want to visit to pay your respects but promise me one thing.
Don't go to your father's old restaurant, I have a bad feeling about that place.
Call me every day,
Love Auntie Alex
Small Update (+VR update)
Hey don't really have much to post.
We've gotten a couple new members on staff to help replace some of the marketplace content so we will have a more consistent and fleshed out art style.
We are expecting a slight delay on the trailer due to a couple of the environments not being fully ready and we didn't want to fake it, aswell as recasting a couple voice actors and are in talks with a couple more notable voice acting professionals to play a couple of the more key roles.
Also this will be good news for anyone with VR headsets
I personally have been working on a GDD and starting the concept and prototype of Two seperate VR modes for the game. One where it is just the core game with enhancements for VR and a second I don't want to describe the gameplay of but all I can say is it will work best with room scale ;)
As much as I'm hoping to have these modes ready for launch I personally need a slight hardware upgrade to be able to properly test and also need to get my hands on a Vive to test the gameplay itself so I've started trying to save some cash and will be looking at other ways to get the funding needed to get those.
Thank you
Claire
Update May 13
Hey all.
Here's a small update on our progress.
* The storyline is out of rough and is finalized.
* The script is in the process of being written out
* Gameplay is at a stage where we feel it's getting close to being ready for testing
* The maps are in development but have been outlined
* We have brought on a couple new modelers to help make more props and replace ones that were purchased on marketplace
* Our composer is working on the game's score and has completed the menu and title theme
* Character bios are almost complete and we will make a wiki and post some of the info.
* The trailer is currently being shot using in-game and in-engine scenes
* The storyboards for cutscenes and sequences are being developed.
* Concept art is being reworked to follow the new art direction.
We would also like to mention that we are considering running a crowdfunding campaign for our studio in the near future. We want to be clear that we are not looking to crowdfund the Fazbear project but to help us get the resources we need to finish the prototype build of our other project and help upgrade the studio’s equipment so we can experiment with new techniques and gameplay styles. If you think that would be something you would consider looking at comment below.
Thank you as always
Claire
Story trailer and new concept art dropping this month
We have been working hard to push out some polished content for you guys and have a new story trailer and some of the development concept art and maybe a couple tracks from the soundtrack we hope to have released this month. We now have an internal deadline for episodes 1 and 2 planned and will be pooling all of our available budget and resources to reach it. We will not disclose this deadline date at the moment due to not wanting to overly stress the team but will keep you guys fed with content until then in the form of a couple trailers lore posts.
Thank you for your continued support
Claire
Update and Thank you (again)
So I felt like I've kept you all in the dark for too long so I'll just post this status update here to give you guys some insight on what's coming up and a general idea of where we are at.
We currently have a build of episode 1 playable from start to finish but it is completely empty of decoration and uses a lot of placeholder art aswell and all audio being missing and the interactions being roughed in. We call this Greyboxed.
The story for EP 1 and 2 are done but the scripts are still in rough draft being worked on still.
We have a new story trailer dropping hopefully soon which will give a few more elements not previously posted as well as a look at the environment of Trillium County the city Fazbear takes place (in our canon)
We have no ETA on when we will have a public build because as much as we love working on this it isn't cheap for us resources wise and I personally had to take a day job stocking shelves at a grocery store just to be able to pay my bills and I know other members of the team are in similar situations.
We are not collecting donations for this game because we feel if we asked for funds people would think we are just trying to profit off the reputation of fnaf and we already have been given so much from getting to talk to Scott, having him show up in the chat to our charity stream, getting to manage the FNAF Facebook and getting to release on steam.
So all we ask for is a little more patience so we can make this the game we want, a AAA experience like resident evil/ outlast with the soul of a fan Project trying to create our ultimate version of this game we love so much.
New steam page description (small version, not live yet)
The residents of Trillium County will know the feeling of an old wound.
Time has passed and doors that seemed locked forever are opened once again and the timing couldn't be any worse.
Welcome Home Charlie
We missed you here at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza
