Remote Destroy Together
Ever wanted to summon an ancient slavering monstrosity to end the world … for reasons … but just couldn’t get your cultist friends to agree to come to your sanctum. Something about them not trusting you to not poison the Oreos … Well, now with Steam Remote Play, those problems are a thing of the past … and hopefully a Thing in the future!
As of version 2.1.3.a you can now play Fhtagn! Tales of the Creeping Madness remotely with your friends, without the threat of them stabbing you in the back when you are not paying attention. You can now play:
- Co-operatively or competitively online with your friends (or frenemies).
- Play on your tablet.
- AND, if you have REALLY good eyesight, on your phone (unfortunately the font size cannot be optimised at this time, so a tablet is recommended).
To activate Remote Play, just follow these easy instructions on Steam’s webpage .

New update, new project, Fall Sale and other thrilling news!
We have been hard at work on an exciting new project, The Endless Wyrd. In this dice-based, deck-building roguelike adventure, scavenge the Wyrd and escape the tentacles and teeth of The Thing of the Dark. Load your dice with powerful augments to create your own synergies and combos and stack the odds in your favour. In the rabbit hole of the Wyrd, the only way back up, is down.

Because of our hectic production timelines to launch The Endless Wyrd on early access on Steam, we will be halting monthly story packs for Fhtagn! However, you can still create your own fun stories for you and friends to play in-game (read more about it here). Fhtagn!’s Discord server is also a great space to test ideas, get feedback and receive assistance and guidance from us. It’s a fun community full of cultish shenanigans, where you can chat to friendly folks and have a prohibition cocktail at Madame Fufu’s to boot.
New feature update in Fhtagn! - V2.1.2.a
We will continue to support and maintain Fhtagn! and have recently added a new feature to the game that enables players to delete saved files. This is useful if your Steam files somehow got corrupted or if you want a fresh start to the game. Please note that using this feature will remove all elders signs and unlocks. The feature is located in the Settings menu.

Create your own co-op adventures in Fhtagn!
Hopefully by this time you have played Fhtagn! and thought "Hey, I can write better stuff than they can!". If the thought had not yet crossed your mind, it should - It's so easy to create your own adventures with the Fhtagn! Content Creator. All that is needed is a story idea and no programming is required. The community has already added a few fun mods on the workshop for other players to download and enjoy in-game.

How does it work?
- Start with an idea (about anything you wish and as funny or as serious as you want);
- write an intro for the story event;
- choose two actions;
- choose a stat for each action;
- write pass and fail stories for each action;
- and viola, you have a playable event in Fhtagn!

What the Fhtagn is this all about?
Dubbed the "funniest take on mystic doomsday cults in years", Fhtagn! is a choose-your-own-adventure game where you can play as one of four cultists intent on destroying the world by summoning an Ancient Horror. Decide how you will be preparing for the final ritual by visiting various locations in the unsuspecting town of Arkham and navigating iconic Lovecraftian events. Battle investigators, gangs, corrupt cops and horrors from the Depths to bring about the end of the world!

Tentacular Expeditions now available to download!
In this month’s (June) story pack, Tentacular Expeditions, events take you to strange and distant places to find forgotten powerful relics.
These six Miskatonic University stories will take you on the following adventures - Go on a mystical journey to the Kalahari Desert to find the The Pipe of Qwanciqutshaa or are you the first to actually summit Mount Everest to uncover its secrets? All adventurers need to prep before an expedition, how about learning to hit a flying bullet with a whip or run away from a bull with chainsaws strapped to its horns? You will definitely need the training when you dodge lethal traps in a Mayan temple with your buddy Leibshitz. Thar Be Treasure, Me Hearties… Oh and a Kraken in one of the nautical expeditions and you will also need to bring a hefty coin purse as you try to haggle for The Toothbrush of Amon-Urr at a market in Cairo.

The main way to get involved is to write a few reviews for games on your platform of choice and share them at any time throughout the two weeks. Remember to use #loveindies, tag the developer and link to the game when you do. This will help the game be discovered by new players!
#loveindies Review Hour
If you really want to go BIG, you can be part of the #loveindies Review Hour At 1000 PST (1800 BST) on Saturday, 8 June. For one hour, you need to review as many indie games from your library as you can. Just go to your library, open it up, and run through everything you’ve got, giving (short) reviews to all of the indie titles you haven’t reviewed yet.
This is the only activity which is strictly timed, to try and gain some momentum for the event over the weekend. If you can, build it up in advance and then join in when it’s happening!

New monthly story pack available to download on our Steam workshop. This month’s story pack (Feelin Lucky) include 6 new gambling events at Madame Fufu's. These are games of chance and random stats were chosen to determine the Pass or Fail. So, the question is, do you feel lucky… well do you?

Fhtagn!’s one year anniversary and first community-written story pack!
Grab the Wailing Gramophone, bust out the Maltese Cockerel, put on the Pinky Ring of Albrecht the Fabulous, it is time to paaaarty! Today is Fhtagn!’s one year anniversary and in honour of this momentous occasion we have a special promotion to celebrate. The past year has been an incredible journey with many exciting developments. We’ve released the Dark Young expansion that included a new cult, new Ancient One, useable items, more stories, new game mechanics and more investigators. We’ve also made various improvements to the Fhtagn! Content Creator so that it is even easier to upload your own stories for the game.
We will also continue to upload the usual Fhtagn! story packs each month.

The Creeping Madness

The Creeping Madness (TCM) is Black and White meets Evil Genius in the 1930s, inside a Lovecraft novel, with a hint of Dieselpunk. You are a Cthulhu-esque Ancient One hellbent on walking the mortal realm once more. Build up your cult in secret. Summon powerful monsters and play through tactical scenarios from your favourite Lovecraftian novels, as you slowly infiltrate, manipulate, corrupt and drive people insane to orchestrate your return.
We created Fhtagn! to raise extra funds for TCM, we are currently hard at work on this project and we hope to share more news about TCM with you soon!
