Tournament Mode
Single Player tournament mode allows you to play as one of the 32 qualified nations in an authentic recreation of the full tournament from the opening match onwards, or customise your tournament experience by changing groups and substituting in teams that didn’t make it to the FIFA World Cup™ Finals.
In online Tournament Mode, make your way through the Knockout Stages as any of the 32 qualified nations as you aim for FIFA World Cup™ glory against other players from around the world.

We wanted to provide a brief update on the team’s progress with resolving the EA anticheat errors that are being seen by some players.
Since the release of FIFA 23, the team has published a number of updates to EA anticheat. As a result, we see that the number of players that are seeing these errors has been significantly reduced. That being said, we see that there are still players that are reporting errors and the team continues to work on resolving them.
To assist the team in identfiying these remaining errors, we are asking for help from those players that are impacted. Please visit Answers HQ and follow the steps provided to send us information about the error that you are seeing. This information will be a great help to the team as they work through this.

FIFA 23 | Title Update #1
We see and understand our PC community’s frustration, and want to thank everyone who has provided feedback. The latest Title Update is now available and includes the following changes:
Addressed a number of the following error message instances seen by players when attempting to launch the title:
“Failure to update process.”
“Can’t start system service.”
“The application has encountered an unrecoverable error.”
Improved a stability issue that could occur when a device with force feedback was plugged into the PC while playing the title.
We will continue to monitor and investigate reports of these and other error messages should they occur and address them accordingly. If you continue to see error messages, feel free to check out the following EA Help article.

Regarding issues reported when trying to launch FIFA 23
We are aware of the issues some PC players have experienced when launching FIFA 23, which are largely related to EA anticheat software. We are actively working on a fix. We see and understand our PC community’s frustration, and we apologize.
EA anticheat is being implemented to protect our players from a minority group of cheaters that try to negatively impact everyone else's playing experience. This was especially important this year, with the expansion of cross-play in FIFA 23. Many players who have encountered errors have been able to play after using one of our help solutions.

For the "unrecoverable error" message that some players have been reporting, we have been collecting logs to help our investigation teams with more data. NEW! Changes to Ultimate Edition Content redemption on Steam
What is changing ? You can now collect your Ultimate Edition content by clicking on the Redeem button found next to the Play button when you choose FIFA 23 in the library.
Once you click the Redeem button, a confirmation screen will appear asking you to confirm your rewards redemption, as well as informing you that the game isn’t eligible for a refund after redemption
Your rewards will appear the next time you launch the game.
Steam standard refund policy will apply only if you do not redeem the ultimate edition content.
Why is it changing? We are implementing a new process to redeem the Ultimate Edition content for FIFA23 on Steam to avoid fraud, so that FIFA 23 and FIFA 23 Ultimate Team stay fair and fun for everyone.
