Mazu arrives in Fight Of Gods! (Patch 1.0.4 notes)

Bow down to the first new god of Fight Of Gods' roster! Today, Mazu has been added to everybody's game for free.



The Goddess Of The Sea plays rather differently from every other Fight Of Gods star - she's able to summon demons, much like The Stand, to do her bidding for her...

Mazu also comes complete with a new stage (a dockside scene in a howling storm, which turns sunny if Mazu isn't in the fight), music, biography and achievement.

That's not all our latest update has included! Other changes introduced in patch 1.0.4 are:
Jesus 2L recovery frame +2, hit stun frame -1.
Zeus 2L recovery frame +4, hit stun frame -1.
Amaterasu 2L hit stun frame -3.
Guan Gong 2L recovery frame +2.
Moses 2L hit stun frame -2.
Added forward force to Sif 5M.
Fixed bug where Odin 214LMH sometimes pushed opponent in the wrong direction.
Removed throw chain move from Athena rage 236LMH > 66.
Fixed Athena dash effect.


With November fast approaching we're also going to be totaling up all your suggestions for the god you want to see next in Fight Of Gods. The Final Vote is going to begin VERY SOON...

On Saturday October 7, Revolution 2017 will be hosting the first Official Fight Of Gods tournament in London, and the winner will receive infinite prestige with two amazing prizes: a trophy proclaiming them the One True God of Revolution 2017, and a unique, handmade golden crown of thorns, presented on a premium golden display cushion.




The deities who come in second and third won't be leaving empty handed either, with silver and bronze crowns of thorns presented to the worthy runners-up.

Soundtrack available now!

Dear all Fight Of Gods players,

My name is Shang-Feng Yang, and I’m the Music Composer for Fight Of Gods. Firstly, I would like to say thank you for enjoying the game so much!

I’ve been really touched by messages and comments from players who have said they like the music I made. It’s great to hear people thinking the music really fits the game, and then sharing those thoughts with everyone online.

Creating music for Fight Of Gods was a big challenge. I’ve been working as a music composer for a long time, but this is the first project I been involved with that required so many different variations and styles of music all in one. I’ve really enjoyed the process, however!

We took every character very seriously, and we composed each piece of music with dedication, the utmost respect and tons of research into the characters. My fellow Fight Of Gods team members also provided me with a lot of great ideas and directions while composing the music!

I’ve seen people requesting the soundtrack as a standalone item, so I’m delighted to confirm that the Fight Of Gods Original Soundtrack is now available to purchase on the Fight Of Gods Store page.

UPDATE 1.0.3 is now live!

We’re pleased to confirm that UPDATE 1.0.3 is now live.
Here’s the all-important changes it introduces:

-Fixed Guan Gong's super move issue (start-up first frame can't be blocked).

-Updated the BGM file.

-Updated various SFX files.

-Fixed Jesus 5M and 5H – no longer ignores block stun.

-Fixed bug that meant certain combos couldn’t be performed by 2P.

-Changed light setting of Character Select scene and VS scene.

-Changed Buddha JH from Mid to Overhead.

-Reduce Buddha 5M block stun.

-Reduce Buddha 236LMH block stun.

-Fixed Zeus' block loop (M > 214LMH > 6LMH > M).

-Air Recovery will be invincible before landing.

Designer Update #1

Hello everyone,

My name is Paus, and I’m the game designer of Fight Of Gods. I’m in charge of the hit box settings, the combo designs and the overall balance of the game.
Here at Digital Crafter we’ve always wanted to let our players what we’ve got planned next, as well as share our general thoughts. We’ve been pretty busy since launching on Early Access two weeks ago, but felt it was important to update you all on the game’s progress.

Firstly, a huge thank you from us all to every single the FOG players. We’re so happy to see players talking about our game.
Digital Crafter is a small indie team based in Taiwan, and with limited budgets and time I decided to focus on the game’s combo design first. I spent most of my time using AI as a tester to design combos, trying to figure out how the combos will look kickass and joyful, and fun enough for players to enjoy them whether against other fighters or simply against the AI in Versus or Arcade mode.

I’ve been watching people sharing super-high damage combos online. To be honest, I’m very happy to see players are really digging into FOG to create more and more possibilities. As game designer myself, I do want to keep the "cool" aspect of these combos, but I may need to do some minor balancing in the near future…

After watching tons of videos and reading the discussions online, here is my (current – more will be added!) to-do list:

1. Light attack will trigger Air Recovery Reset Loop Combo:
The original idea of air recovery was trying to avoid opponents who kept using light attacks to block your path (so you can’t jump over) and let you lie down all the time, but now it can be used to reset combos. This will be fixed with a future update.

2. Crouch Light attack infinites:
Although it’s not easy to perform, we will fix this also.

3. Certain Characters’ block stun too long:
For Zeus or Buddha, for example. When you block some moves, the recovery time is too short, and so your opponent can just keep using the same move over and over to pin down foes. This is very frustrating and will also be fixed.

4. Divine Power damage adjustments:
Some characters’ divine powers are far stronger/weaker than others, so we will close down this gap.

5. 100% Combos & Damage Scaling:
We know you’re having lots of fun with this, so we’ll keep it for the short-term. But we are considering our long-term strategies to preserve the craziness but give people a chance, too…

6. Move inputs and volume of moves:
From the start we wanted players to quickly and easily figure out how to perform each character’s move. It’s for this reason that all the basic move inputs are the same – that way newcomers to the genre can easily pick up and play.
We may add in new character-specific moves in the future, but as of this moment making brand new gods is our immediate priority over expanding the current roster’s movelists.

7. AI:
The AI is still very for the first part of Early Access - we will definitely be improving this.


Overall:

Thanks again to all the FOG players. We are already working on some of the above, and are also busy working on our online P2P features and our new characters.
If all goes well, our first DLC character will be added to the game – free to all – before the end of October, closely followed by more characters. And don’t forget about our incoming fan poll, in which you can choose a future DLC character…

With so many things on our to-do list, please understand if we can’t address your most wanted upgrade immediately, but we are listening to you all and are committed to making Fight Of Gods the best game it can possibly be. And if you guys have any thoughts or suggestions, please leave your comments below!

Fight Of Gods - removal from sale in Thailand

This morning we received formal communications from Thailand authorities over the content in Fight Of Gods.

After careful consideration and consultation, we have started proceedings to remove Fight Of Gods from sale in Thailand. We wish to thank all of our fans in the affected regions for the support you have shown us.

Here is the quick way to solve it.
1. quite the game
2. plug in controller (if the issue happens in player 2, second controller is required)
3. restart the game.
4. the control will be reset back to default.

The default language is now set to English.

Now if you re-install the Game and your default language is not on our support language list, it will be set to English as default.
