Figment 2: Creed Valley is Coming Out February 2023!
Well everyone, it is finally time.
What a feeling it is to say that the game we’ve been working on for the past 4 years will be in your hands in just a couple of months. We’ve had quite the rocky road, with a pandemic and switching the game from a DLC for Figment 1 to a fully fledged standalone sequel. But this announcement is for real. Our musical and surreal adventure into the human mind is coming to your eyes and ears very soon. So let’s do a quick run down of Figment 2: Creed Valley.
Musical Showdowns
Face nightmares in theatrical boss fights. Each fight has unique mechanics, the bosses sing verses shining light on why they’ve appeared. Dodge and weave as the nightmares taunt you with attacks timed to the beat.
A Journey Across the Subconcious
Conviction Lane is based on the amygdala. Dedicated to our set of morals and memories, and the emotional responses to them. As you dive deeper you’ll make your way into the Ethics maze where the ideas of The Mind face trials. Passing the trial means being cemented into the person’s set of morals.
A Shifting Narrative
The game features a multi-layered narrative, where not everything is told directly to you, the player. During your adventures, interacting with the world unveils what caused the mind to plunge into darkness. So listen closely to the songs’ lyrics, talk to the opinions (residents of The Mind), and collect remembranes (snippets of memories passed). Switching between Open-minded and Closed-minded shift the music, environments, dialogue, and NPC behaviour in the world. Use both brawn and brain to move forward and clear the obstacles blocking your path.
Local co-op
We should never have to face our fears alone. Piper is now a controllable character for local co-op! Many of you asked for it in Figment 1, it was about time we added this feature.

The Big Adventure Event is coming back very soon, January 20th to be exact. So make sure you've set a reminder in this event.

A Striking Update! - New Combat and Animations. Out Now!
Hello everyone! I hope this message finds you all in good health.
IT. IS. TIME.
We've been cooking up this update for a while now, working on refining Dusty's combat and interactions with the world. He's also received a brand new set of animations, making him look buttery smooth. Let's dive into the details.
This update can be played right now in the prologue, right below.
No more whiffs (or less at least), and quicker strikes.
Dusty now "homes" onto targets to ensure you hit your target.
An invisible cone eminating from Dusty is in place, making your attacks hit even if you're not directly facing an enemy.
Combo spin swing now happens after 4 swings.
Overhead strike! Attack right after a dodge roll to do an overhead strike.
The overhead strike can cancel a dodge roll.
Shiny & Smooth Animations
Here's a list of the new animations included in this update.
Picking up objects.
Kicking interaction.
Overhead swing.
Walking and Running animations. With and without holding the sword.
Knockback when Dusty is damaged.
Extra Time
Oh! I have another gift for those of you who have enjoyed the Jester's Challenge. We've added an extra minute, meaning you should have plenty of time reaching him at the end of the level. Well, we've been quite busy with Figment 2 these past weeks since the prologue's release back in January. But, good news! We've got some updates that come straight from the oven. Sit back, relax and get ready to play.
Let's jump right into it:
5 Extra Minutes have been added!
You may have tried the previous iteration of The Jester's Challenge, and we've seen some of you get pretty far! The main obstacle being some of the puzzles. So we're giving y'all 5 extra minutes to rack your brain and see what lies beyond!
The Fan Bois have been given less power
They now fly lower and are easier to hit! We've taken the decision to make them more of a "cannon-fodder" type enemy. That doesn't mean that they're easy to take care of! Try your best to not get overwhelmed by them.
Slight Cosmetic Changes
Opinion were a bit hard to differentiate so we're giving them a little do-over! left: A slightly older opinion, right: the opinion on work.
Dusty's Combat Roll
This is the beginning of the multiple combat updates to come! During Dusty's dodge, you'll be able to shift to the left or right, making the combat experience smoother. Try it out and let us know what you think.
