Update Notes: New Lategame System - 1.00.19 - April 14th 2023

Small list today, but a cool new feature. In the lategame you can now unlock the Economic Incentive Token reward system after finding your first token, these can be exchanged for some very nice rewards.



Changes:



  • Added a secret way to generate bonus Inspiration with the Artist (not the new system).
  • Added a new commentary point on the map in Ever's Rest Inn.
  • Tribute text now moves to a different location when shop camera lock is on.
  • Buffed the Data Collection Agreement accessory from 2x to 4x XP.
  • Implemented a new Economic Incentive Token reward system.


Bug Fixes:



  • Fixed a bug where Biz would turn invisible under very specific circumstances.
  • Fixed the Art 1000 quest reminder pointing in the wrong direction.

Update Notes: New Secret - 1.00.18 - April 11th 2023

First up, the game is on sale for 10% off this week! The perfect time to share it with your friends!

The major addition in this patch is a hidden new questline involving the Fruit of Life. It's quite a tricky one and can be missed, good luck uncovering it's secrets! There are also additional quality of life improvements and fixes.

Changes:



  • Added a notification that eating plants is doing something else too.
  • Added emphasis on an important word in one of Pixa's hide and seek hints.
  • Pixa can now be called on the phone during hide and seek to hear the hint again.
  • Added flavour text if you call the Bird after hiring him.
  • An explanation for automatic growing in the shop pots now plays the first time you interact with one of them.
  • Reduced the combination cost of the Greater Animal Magnetism Gem from 1500000 to 400000.
  • Changed the shop camera lock and closed/open sign descriptions to be more descriptive.
  • Reduced the animation frequency when filling up the very big gem.
  • Added [Auto Drinks] text to custom Floral Hat choice text.
  • Interacting with the clock during the cosmetic placement tutorial will not prompt you to interact with the wall above it instead.
  • Added several new points of extra direction to drive the player towards the upgrade store in the enterpriston tutorial.
  • Added one more sign to the residential quarter.
  • Added a new secret questline involving the Fruit of Life (this quest is very hidden and is missable).


Bug Fixes:



  • Fixed trader phone upgrade 2 not appearing
  • Fixed a cutscene that could break when fast forwarding
  • Fixed bulk coffee supply chain quest count not working correctly.
  • Fixed the Grand Apple cosmetic reward not appearing (to fix this on an existing save speak with The Pink Lady)
  • Fixed a newgame+ prompt that was appearing in a first time playthrough.

Update Notes - 1.00.17 - April 6th 2023

The major change this patch is the rework to the Commodity system. These changes should make it play better with the rest of the game, and provide some additional end game content. There's also some extra direction added surrounding certain quests.

Changes:



  • The Legislator will now direct the player to check the city signs for directions during the tea 100 quest.
  • The camera now zooms in on the Record Keeper when they unlock to draw attention to them.
  • The first few Record Keeper reminders have been updated to include some additional useful info.
  • Added a new direction sign to the Residential Quarter.
  • Absorbing plants will now also increase Max HP (already increased Max MP)
  • Added some more clues about locating the sense royalty customer.
  • Added an interaction if you take the Artist to the graveyard when they want to go to the Memorial.
  • Added Famine Memorial to a couple of exterior signs.
  • Slight change to the path leading to the Industrial Quarter to make it more noticable.
  • Added an NPC in the Cafe that points towards the Industrial Quarter.
  • Tea vendor now prompts about the factory purchase if that is the step we're up to.
  • Added an interactable behind MrTony's.
  • Added an animation when unlocking horsecut entrances.
  • Added a repeating reminder to go see Odina at the Gem Tech Lab while up to that story point.
  • Added a new late game upgrade for crafting.
  • Reworked how commodities refill (they are now tied to selling other items instead of time).
  • Added commodity speed upgrades.
  • Added a line of commodity phone upgrades.
  • Added a series of commodity quests.
  • Added a condition for convincing One.


Bug Fixes:



  • Fixed feed commodity not getting boosted when it should.
  • Removed a debug feature that I forgot to remove.
  • Fixed the second boots purchase trigger not checking how much gold the player had.

Update Notes - 1.00.16 - April 3rd 2023

New Game plus is here! You can make a New Game+ save file by reaching the end of the game, this game mode has a bunch of changes to game systems. Notably, you keep your equipment which opens up some money making possibilities in the early game. Real Estate is also available immediately from the beginning of the game. I encourage you to explore and see what else is different!

Additionally there's some improvements to how much money you can make in the shop once you reach the late game.

And some improvements to direction in some key places that needed it.

Changes:



  • Implemented New Game+
  • Implemented New Game+ Commentary (There are only a few of these at the moment, it's something I may expand later)
  • Buffed the Merchant's Cunning trade tool from +2 crit to +3, and from triple crits to quadruple crits.
  • Expanded the height of the gab window.
  • Mrs. Five will now heckle the player while you search for her.
  • Changed the graphic for a sign outside Enterpriston.
  • Altered the descriptions of items in the trade quest to help remind what to do with them.
  • The zoom in easter egg will no longer occur while the shop camera is locked.
  • Shop pot accelerator upgrades now indicate that they stack.
  • Changed the text when using the seed/plant lever to better indicate how it works.
  • Altered the graphic for seed stage plants to make them more distinct from fruit stage plants.
  • Moved the reminder sheet in the craft bag room to the front so it's more noticable.
  • Changed the default choice for capital stock management to option 2.
  • Reworked the passive tick system backend so it plays nice with New Game+
  • Increased how quickly the plot auction price escalates.
  • Buffed monopolised Permit prices.
  • Added a new tier of product price upgrades for the lategame at 3000 sales each, Inflation tier.
  • Talking to the Flow Pix after unlocking them will now repeat what you get for trading them.
  • Changed an Enterpriston NPC dialogue to hint towards a hidden accessory.
  • Added an NPC that you can talk to for reminders on how to get each of your products.
  • Added some NPC dialogue encouraging the player to invest in upgrades.
  • The Underwalk doors are now ajar to make it more obvious that they exist.




Bug Fixes:



  • Fixed a clipping bug in the graveyard.
  • Fixed a floating tree in Castle Marx.
  • Fixed an issue where max mana wasn't returning to the correct value after resetting the climax confrontation.
  • Fixed a bug that could cause Tutetown automation to temporarily deactivate.
  • Fixed high value Envelopes not counting towards tax.
  • Fixed a rare issue where 2 scenes could trigger at once when leaving the store causing the player to get stuck.

Update Notes - 1.00.15 - March 29th 2023

A few days late because I'm taking care of a housemate with covid, got a little time today to work through some of the more pressing things I wanted to implement. Some quality of life features players have been asking for, and some improved direction at points that needed it.

Changes:



  • Adjusted Boat's council quest text to include that People Pix look like her.
  • Reduced fog density in the Very Long Way.
  • Buying levels is now faster.
  • Increased how much Inspiration is gained from taking the Artist on commissions manually when taking the generous path.
  • Added NPC dialogue in the Cafe that directs the player towards the Underwalk Pub if they've missed it.
  • Improved clarity of where to go after finding the 3 Gknights.
  • Talking to Elora when you're up to product 8 will now direct the player towards where to get the required key if they don't yet have it.
  • Improved the speed and 'good feels' of using the craft machines.
  • The lower value commodities will not boost their maximum numbers faster.
  • Added a more direct hint on how to get Apple Magic if you require it for progression and don't yet have it.
  • Biz now moves below Pixa when making quick art instead of to the left.
  • The Collector will now tell you a secret when you have 50 Apples.
  • Added a new hidden line of upgrades for the very late game.


Bug Fixes:



  • Fixed a bug with the max number of capital stocks
  • Fixed the sell price of Astra's house being too high.
  • Fixed a speed change bug in the capital.
  • Fixed metal commodity maximum not increasing when it should.

Small patch today, little adjustments mostly as I've been putting most efforts into getting the comma functionality ready to go.

Changes:



  • Adjusted the variance in capital stock price increases and decreases
  • Enabled digit grouping (commas in numbers) for numbers in menus.
  • Added in functionality to add commas to displayed variable numbers (but this will take some time still to manually add in a later patch).
  • Made objects in Aberton Manor interactable.
  • Changed the way Odina asks about a certain item on the train to make the solution more apparent.


Bug Fixes:



  • Fixed a typo in the capital.
  • Fixed it so you can still recruit the Mail customers after doing the Mail 100 quest.

Update Notes - 1.00.13 - March 23rd 2023

Some new things today, bit of quality of life, bit of easter egg, but also a new questline to upgrade your shard of prime.

Changes:



  • The default selection of the real estate board is now deploy maintenance.
  • Added a horsecut property easter egg.
  • Added an elimination option in the climax encounter if your ruthlessness is high.
  • Added a lilypad jump spot near the famine memorial (mostly inconsequential, but there was a lilypad graphic there so it makes sense)
  • Added a new questline in faeona to upgrade your shard of prime.



Bug Fixes:



  • Fixed a plant in the industrial farm giving infinite fruit.
  • Fixed an issue where under certain conditions the game failed to recognise that you had accepted the loan.
  • Fixed a sense royalty trigger in the capital.
  • Fixed an issue where supply and demand for vendrank sometimes wouldn't show the price change value.

Update Notes - 1.00.12 - March 20th 2023

Few more fixes today, but also some interesting changes to the economy using seed trading and the mat of tribute. I look forward to seeing how you end up optimising those.

Also a weird easter egg that I didn't even consider was possible, but an industrious player brought the possibility to my attention and now it's a thing.

Changes:



  • Taking a certain optional party member to the train now fully functions as an easter egg, but it's weird.
  • Moved the trigger for consequences in the VenDRANK! Factory choice to when you make the choice, rather than when you pay for the choice.
  • Made the Animal Magnetism Gems count when trading seeds to the seed trade bird.
  • Added a hidden effect/interaction involving the Mat of Tribute.


Bug Fixes:



  • Fixed some post game triggers locking up the game if you didn't have the jukebox (lol).
  • Fixed playing losing speed permanently when skipping a certain cutscene.
  • Fixed a cutscene getting stuck when speed has been reduced.
  • Fixed late game easels not resetting after use.
  • Fixed a typo on an old man in Enterpriston.
  • Fixed one of the easels teleporting the player to the wrong place.
  • Fixed an issue if taking a certain optional party member to the train.
  • Fixed another cutscene breaking when using the skip button.
  • Fixed plant growers being unusable.
  • Fixed Magnolia's second upgrade text displaying as if it still had a gold cost after purchase.
