Update in the works

Hi everybody!

I just wanted to let you know that there's a graphics update in the works for Fine China. With this update I'm also planning to increase the price a little bit.

As I have mentioned elsewhere, I made this game as a hobby project first. I'm new to all aspects of game development and I have to do and learn evey aspect of development in my spare time.

One of the things I've learned since release are some lighting dos and don'ts and armed with this new knowledge I'm giving the game a visual overhaul. These changes will also improve performance.

Here's a little sneak peek of some of the changes:

Aside from the lighting, this update will also include better textures, updated models and post-processing options.

With all this, I feel that the game deserves a little price increase, so for anyone who has Fine China still on their wishlist, now would be an excellent time to get it!

I'm hoping I can roll out the update in about a week, but I still have a bit of work and testing to do, so as usual I'm holding off on a definitive deadline.

Love is in the air, and Fine China gets an update!

Did you forget to get the love of your life a Valentine's Day gift? Not to worry, a new flower shop just opened up in the mall. Get your backpack and rush through the store to get that special someone that beautiful bouquet, just in time for Valentine's Day!

Or do you feel that Valentines Day is a sham? The flower shop is of course also available in destruction mode. Show your disdain for this crass commercial holiday by demolishing everything in sight.

Just remember: you break it, you buy it!

So what's new:

- New shop, both in timed and destruction mode
- Music now loops
- Added some tips and tricks to the start menu
- Final scores now reset when reloading levels
- Fixed some minor issues

Version 1.0 now live

Fine China version 1.0 is now up with a bunch of new content for you to enjoy (and destroy)!

So, what's new?

- 2 completely new stores: the electronics shop and the music store. Avoid breaking all the phones, laptops, televisions, grand pianos, tubas and much more in Timed Mode. Or feel like a rock star smashing drum kits, guitars and amplifiers in Destruction Mode.

- There are now 10 levels in timed mode, and 9 in Destruction mode (but the final destruction level is a little bit special...)

- Added a new level selection scene, the dark alleyway has been replaced by a shiny new mall.

- Play through each shop to open up new stores in the mall.

- Local high scores have been added.

I hope you all enjoy the new content!
