Update for FIREFIGHT RELOADED Released (3-31-17) [APRIL FOOLS]
An update for FIREFIGHT RELOADED has been released. The update will be applied when you restart FIREFIGHT RELOADED.
1.8.0:
- Upgraded the engine version to the CSGO Engine.
- Added Multiplayer to the Singleplayer client.
- Added a new weapon: The Dildo!
- Added a new gamemode: FIREFIGHT FORTRESS! Fight against the TF2 classes in all their glory!
- Made the blood effects rainbow colored.
- Replaced the gib models with props.
- Replaced the explosions with confetti.
- The HEV Suit is now voiced by Microsoft Sam!
- Added L4D NPCs to ZOMBIE SURVIVAL!
- Added the Nailgun! (You must pre-order Team Fortress 3 in order to aquire this item.)
- Added the Dubstep Gun!
- Added the IDM Gun!
- Added an inventory system.
- Added a magic sword that we found laying around in a pit somewhere. I think it was used to kill some demon or something. We might need to return it to that samurai with a beard. But screw honesty. Keep it.
The reason why we censored the blood and gore was because we got complaints from parents who have watched their children play the mod, and they saw the horrible bloodbath that was caused while playing. This is an effort to make the game family friendly for all ages. We at Bitl and Cobalt-57 apologize for the inconvenience.

Notice about Steam Achievements (EDITED)
Hello,
I am aware of a problem with Steam not recording the progress of some achievements. This issue is being looked into. This shouldn't require a update.
EDIT: The problem should be fixed now and the mod should be able to record stats properly.

Singleplayer Changes:
- Made the knife insta-kill Headcrabs.
- The game will now slow down when you use the Store.
- Fixed a bug where the Cancel button isn't visible in the Supplies & Upgrades section of the Store.
- Fixed a crash when the player dies and a enemy's grenade goes off.
- The 357 and Shotgun are now more accurate if you aim down the sights.

Hey guys,
I hope you all had a great holiday season. In spirit of the holiday season, here's a blog entry talking about what I am currently working on.
First off, the big announcement. Those who had a close eye on my Discord server know that I have been hyping this up.
SMOD3, everyone.
Yep, I am planning on working on a new fan-made SMOD mod! It's main goal is to recreate SMOD as close as possible while also adding support for Half-Life 2 and its episodes.
But, what is going on for FIREFIGHT RELOADED?
Well, there are plans for updates this next year, but those updates will be smaller because of SMOD3 development, as well as my other projects.
I also plan on finishing up the CSS/DOD content DLCs for FIREFIGHT RELOADED so that players will be able to utilize these maps in their playthroughs.

PLEASE READ: IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR WORKSHOP ADDON CREATORS!
Hi guys,
After FIREFIGHT RELOADED 1.7.0.0 (The Retribution Update) released, there were some people having issues with the new sounds included in the update.
This problem has been linked to the Workshop, where some addons were conflicting with a file named "game_sounds_manifest.txt", which has been updated throughout many FIREFIGHT RELOADED updates.
To fix this, FIREFIGHT RELOADED now has blank sound script files for all 30 custom weapon slots, which weapon creators can edit and modify.
Custom weapon creators that modify "game_sounds_manifest.txt" should remove the "game_sounds_manifest.txt" file and rename the new script files included with FIREFIGHT RELOADED. The same thing applies with custom weapon addons that change "game_sounds_weapons.txt".
As for players, if you experience any sound issues, uninstall all custom weapon addons you may have and wait until the addon creator updates it to support this new change.
Custom weapon addons as of right now will be marked as "uncompatable" until the addon creator updates the addon to support this change.

A major update for FIREFIGHT RELOADED has been released. The update will be applied when you restart FIREFIGHT RELOADED.

1.7.0.0 - The Retribution Update:
Singleplayer changes:
- Changed the way the level up mechanic works:
Instead of only perks, the game will now give the player either a perk, an item, a weapon, or a Kash Bonus.
- The "givelevel" cheat now activates the "Level Up" sequence.
- Changed the name of the cheats. (givelevel , givexp , givemoney )
- The OCIW now can switch between fire modes with the Special Attack button!
- Added 2 new weapons:
Tau Cannon: A classic from Half-Life 1 and attached to the Jeep in Half-Life 2, this cannon launches rays of energy and can be charged up to fire a much more deadly ray.
Gluon Gun: A classic from Half-Life 1, it is the most powerful weapon in FIREFIGHT RELOADED alongside the Mega Gravity Gun. It launches a spiral of energy that destroys EVERYTHING IT TOUCHES.
MP5: A classic from the golden days of SMOD, SMOD FIREFIGHT, Counter-Strike, and others, the MP5 can change between automatic and semi-automatic modes with the Special Attack button and you start with it in-game.
Multiplayer changes:
- Fixed a bug where Combine NPCs would not have any health or kick damage.
- Fixed a bug where some NPC sounds wouldn't play.
- The game title is now "FIREFIGHT RELOADED CO-OP"
- Teamkilling is now punished in-game with a removal of a frag.
Shared changes:
- Made the Cremator attack NPCs that attack him (except Combine NPCs).
- The Cremator will now make angry sounds when he is angry.
- Metrocops will now run more actively during attacks.
- All combine Soldiers/Elite Metropolice will go into a "casual" walking animation during idle.
- Added 3 new NPCs:
Elite Metropolice: You don't need Manhacks to be a complete badass. He can use the AR2 and trained better at holding weapons.
Alien Grunt: A classic adversary from the first Half-Life, he shoots homing hornets that target you.
Alien Controller: A classic adversary from the first Half-Life, he fires energy balls at you and flies around.
- NPC default relationships are now auto-generated.
- Reverted HL2 weapon sounds to the originals instead of using custom sounds.
Tool changes:
- Fixed Hammer so it will support FIREFIGHT RELOADED and FIREFIGHT RELOADED CO-OP properly.
Pre-Release changes:
- Added the first Steam version of FIREFIGHT RELOADED to the list of pre-releases.
NEW CHANGES FOR SINGLEPLAYER:
Kash Bonuses:
Along with the normal amount of Kash you get (which is based on the level number), a Kash Bonus will add onto that by taking your level number and multiplying it by 10.
Ex. If your level is 10, you will recive 10 Kash for leveling up, plus 100 Kash if you recieve a Kash Bonus. This equals a 110 Kash reward!
Kash Bonuses ONLY occur if your level is 10 or higher.

I am just writing this to let you all know that I might be delaying the update to tomorrow due to some last-minute bug fixing. I am also doing some small enhancements here and there.

The FIREFIGHT RELOADED RETRIBUTION UPDATE is releasing TOMMAROW!
I have decided to release the update TOMMAROW as I believe the update is stable enough for release. Thank you all who have tested the update (expecially Tytygigas) and I hope that you will play more FIREFIGHT in the future.
