Fist's Elimination Tower 1.1.1 is live!

:allisonfist: One one one! Make a wish! This is a small patch, fixing a few sprite color issues.

Boo! The Halloween Update is here!



:allisonfist: Welcome! It's that spookiest time of the year, and to celebrate, for the first time since the game's launch, we're adding new costume items to dress your contestants in, and all are immediately unlocked - no spinning required! If you've unlocked the ability to select the set for the tower, you'll find that there's a brand new one, Fistenstein's Castle. This bone-chilling tower has new background music, and frighteningly different enemies (except the ghosts... I kept those the same, because ghosts are already spooky enough).

While not particularly scary, this update also includes the Remix Set, which will randomly change the set every 30 floors.

LOOK OUT FOR FRIGHTS!

:allisonfist: Good morning! It's been a while since the last patch - have you been enjoying the game? Been collecting and crafting the cards? I've been crafting stuff with them, but only twice so far, because I don't want to drive up the prices for all of you, and I don't want to blow all my FET profits on cards for my own dang game. Anyway, where was I? Oh yeah, the patch notes.

Update 1.0.10 details:

:fetfist: Fixed bug that prevented guest/custom contestants from appearing in multiple runs
:fetfist: Made the Southpaw Tower set selectable once that mode is beaten
:fetfist: Fixed issue that kept Steam achievements from unlocking in a previous Mac build - if you're missing some achievements, playing this version should automatically unlock them

Fist's Elimination Tower 1.0.9 is live!

This is a small patch, but for any of you who got the game on itch.io and redeemed the included Steam code here, you'll find that the itch.io version has also been updated with all the patches made in the past two weeks.

Update 1.0.9 details:


  • Fixed a bug affecting contestant generation in a later difficulty mode
  • Fixed a dialogue typo - gonna catch all of them one of these days

Fist's Elimination Tower 1.0.8 is live!

This patch contains some requested fixes and ideas from the Steam community; I'm just one man making all these fixes, but regardless of how expedient I may or may not be, know that I'm listening (or reading, as the case may be).

Update 1.0.8 details:


  • Fixed some dialogue typos
  • Tweaked some of the far jumps in certain floors in order to make them less... harshly precise
  • Improved custom contestant name entry UI

Fist's Elimination Tower 1.0.7 is live!

I'm really enjoying watching all of you play this game, be it through streaming, YouTube videos, or just via screenshots posted on the community page; maybe some of you could tag your spoilers better in here, but you're having fun and making progress, and that's what's important.

Anyway, by seeing the game through your eyes, it occurred to me that some fixes needed to be made to the game, which is what I focused on in today's patch.

Update 1.0.7 details:


  • Fixed bug that kept data from saving properly while playing on certain difficulties
  • Reduced time between sound effects during credit roll
  • Flipped achievement screen so that dialogue isn't obscured by Steam's achievement notice box

Fist's Elimination Tower 1.0.6 is live!

Happy Labor Day! Did I ever tell you about the one year where I fell asleep at 9 AM and woke up at 5 PM? I feel like by definition, that is the perfect Labor Day. In stark contrast, on this one, I'm patching Fist's Elimination Tower; don't worry, I got some grilling planned later, it's all good.

Update 1.0.6 details:


  • Fixed a typo in one of the cutscenes
  • Added fullscreen toggle to the setup menu
  • Tweaked two floors in the Southpaw Tower to make their solutions more intuitive

Contestant Customization Requests

One of my goals in Fist's Elimination Tower was to make a contestant customizer so robust that anybody could make a 30 pixel-tall version of themselves. There are dozens of hats, and if you combine front and back, hundreds of hairstyles, but I can't help but thinking "what did I miss?"

That's where this announcement comes in. If you feel like there's a missing hairstyle, hat, accessory, beard, etc. in Fist's Elimination Tower, feel free to request it in the replies to this post, and I will consider them for a future update. Most of the non-hat/accessory items are immediately unlocked, so anybody can take a look right now at what's there and what isn't.

By the way, I encourage all of you to share your custom contestants on this community page. I'm very interested in seeing who you're making.

Fist's Elimination Tower 1.0.5 is live!

I'll admit, I've been watching those achievement stats pretty hard, and I'm impressed with how fast you're making your way through them. That being said, when I realized that somebody got the Southpaw 9 minute achievement and not the 10 minute achievement, I said to myself, "guess it's 1.0.5 time"

Update 1.0.5 details:


  • Fixed bug where Gotta Go Fist! achievement didn't unlock during certain difficulties
  • Fixed the ending skip update from 1.0.3 so that it skips the ending cutscene instead of just muting the music for the rest of the cutscene

Fist's Elimination Tower 1.0.4 is live!

Little update this time, but since it involves a pretty big achievement that I can't award retroactively (my sincere apologies to anybody who has gotten it already), I wanted to put it up as soon as I could.

Update 1.0.4 details:


  • Fixed achievement The Whole Freakin' Show being unobtainable in certain difficulties
  • Changed the achievement wording on streak-based achievements to notify the player that, since saving resets the streak, it will prevent these achievements from being unlocked
