We had two seemingly separate issues:
- Random periods of lag that would cause you to sometimes fly up into the air.
- Overall slowdown after playing for a while.
Both of these have been fixed. Terribly sorry. Those cars on the roads that usually go unnoticed were being re-created every time you respawned without getting removed, so eventually you'd just have a bunch of cars accumulated.
I'm just happy that this is just virtual reality, otherwise I could have caused a traffic jam and maybe even some accidents, HA!
But lag in VR is no laughing matter, so again, my apologies and I hope you enjoy a now smoother experience! :)
End of world crash fix! And some bean stalks
Our current leaderbird leader, Ksic, informed us of an end of world bug around 500 points that caused your bird to immediately stop. We fixed this. You should now be able to proceed much further. We also fixed an issue where the world would stop spawning in.
Also, we added some surprise bean stalks.
LeaderBIRD update
As we extend to some more platforms, we wanted to make sure that our leaderbirds were not fragmented across them. As we release Oculus, mobile and PSVR, the leaderbird will be one and the same.
This means that if you don't update, your scores will be submitted to steam's leaderBOARD. For the next couple of weeks, we'll be constantly pulling that data into our own leaderBIRD, but at some point that data will be lost.
As well, our vive users have been getting slightly more tired than our oculus users. They've had to flap harder and stronger, and that's just not fair. We've decided to increase the flap sensitivity for the vive specifically to address that.
Update - Music Option and Community Puns
- Hoshi82, one hell of a flapper (currently 4th on the leaderboard), requested the ability to disable the game music during hardcore bird training sessions. The option is now above the difficulty option. Thanks Hoshi82!
- Puns are important, especially to birds. Its a small thing, but there is now an author above the puns that show up. Send us puns and we'll put them in along with your name or whatever you want to be authored as! :)

Update - A few quick fixes
Just a few little fixes to improve the experience.
- You don't have to fly as high in the beginning to start flying forward.
- The score on the right hand side should no longer jitter.
- There was a little bird...i mean bug... where if you flew through a pipe but then died, you'd get an extra point. No more EXTRA POINTS!
- You were able to spam buttons to have the screen fade in/out after you squashed into a pipe. Fixed!
Update - Default Difficulty changed to Peregrine
After a whopping 1 hour on steam, the first update is live. The default difficulty was previously chicken and now its peregrine.
