We've just made another quick update to improve some of the aspects players have reported!
The most notable one is probably making the transitions between levels faster, with the option to make it super fast if you know how! (*hold jump!*) We've also added the option to disable the screen-shake and made some bug fixes.
Update notes:
- Quicker level transitions, and even quicker if you want!
- Added option to disable screen-shake
- Fixed levels color offset
- Minor changes on first boss
- Some minor bugs fixed
- The play-with-controller message should only apear the first 3 times.

Level progression tweaking
Hey everyone!
We've had some players reporting a few issues on level progression so we made a quick change to ensure new players can learn the basics :)
That includes a change of the boss of world2, and we've had to remove the last boss for the time being, sorry about that! But no worries, it'll be back on the next update!
We also wanted to thank everyone who have given feedback as it helps us a lot and that's why we are on Early Access, so please keep sending us feedback and stay tuned for the next updates!

New update v0.48 is live!!
Hey everyone!
Today there's a new Flat Heroes update (v0.48)!
We've been working on the difficulty curve to make it a bit more smooth, and this update also adds a new world and brings some new enemies to the waves mode. It's a great opportunity to revisit the adventure again!
We also updated the player's movement set to add some more depth and give players more options in each situation, so there are new and more exciting ways to beat some levels now! And we reworked the charging and shooting mechanics for the versus modes, which should make it more viable to use in combats.
And you may also find lots of small changes that we've been doing to polish the game further :)
Here are the update notes:
New Final Boss! Currently on world 6, let us know what you think!
New enemy inspired by some retro game (guess which one!), but of course a bit more intense
New enemy based on beehives... but of course more intense?
Added new levels, reaching 7 levels now!
New and reworked level progression, with a 200% better difficulty curve*
New charge-shooting mechanic for versus battles: now 200% more trepidant
New secret and deeper player movements: dash dash dash!
New juicy animations
Automatic quality adjustment, 60 fps is a right, not a privilege
Extra gamefeel bits all around the game, including:
> updated initial countdown
> walls that kill should be a bit more clear now
> on runner it should be more when the runner changes and who is the new one
> new end of match effect on some versus modes
Optimizations and bug fixes here and there
* based on internal studies and magic spells.

We're updating the price!
Hello everyone!
Sorry for the long silence, we've been really busy behind the scenes getting stuff ready and discussing our future plans.
And today there's an important announcement to make!
We are updating the price of Flat Heroes during Early Access to $7.99 (check Steam after the change for the equivalence on other currencies).
We think the game features enough content and quality to have the current price, but we also understand that it is a barrier for many, especially because of the awesome but minimalist style of the game. With the new price we hope more people will consider buying the game and join us on our Early Access adventure!
For those who have bought the game less than 2 weeks ago and are not happy with the price they paid, you should be able to get a refund from Steam and buy it again at the lower price if you wish.
And for anyone who bought the game before the price change, send us an e-mail to 'contact (at) parallelcircles.com' and we'll give you something awesome to thank you for your early support! :)

On our side we have been working on the first big update and although it's not yet ready we can say it will include lots of new stuff, some stuff for solo players and some for those who prefer multiplayer!

New update 0.47 is live! Bug fixing!
We are still working on the big update, but some users have pointed out some new bugs appeared on the last update, these should be fixed now, and while we were at it we took the opportunity to make some optimizations :)

You may have noticed there was no update yesterday, but worry not! That's because we are preparing a bigger update with some extra content soon!
We are not sure when this update will be live because we want to make sure everything works as expected, but we can say it'll be big!

New patch v0.46 is live!
Hi everyone!
In this update we have focused on continuing to polish small details to make the game feel better, i.e. now a subtle slow-mo happens if the last enemy of a wave is killed by a player, adding up a bit of excitement when you complete a hard level!
We also added our first boss intro! The World 5 Boss now has an intro the first time you encounter it, intros for the rest of the bosses will be added on future updates.
Another change introduced is a gentle push to player's attack, player attacks will now push away nearby players a little bit in cooperative modes. This is to avoid "turtle formations" (multiple players really close to each other attacking non-stop). We've seen some players use this strategy on advanced levels and they don't learn what they must learn in order to progress on further levels. It's also in preparation to the addition of teams, where this strategy would lead to really boring matches.
Patch notes
- Player's attack now gently pushes surrounding players if they are too close, to avoid turtle formations
- Added slow-mo on the last enemy of waves levels if that enemy is killed by a player
- World 5 Boss now has an intro, we'll be adding other boss intros on future updates
- World 5 Boss now has some extra screen-shakes and gamepad rumbles!
- Added Parallel Circles logo
- Fixed issue where the pick-up could not be attacked during the first half a second in catch
- On catch players' rotation is also reset at the end of each mini-round to avoid some weird jumps
- Small fix on button text
- Minor optimizations on memory usage
- Added more vibration events
New update with 2 new intense levels, v0.45 is live!
Hi everyone!
We had a really busy week with EGX and some other secret stuff but here's the new update!
In this update you'll find a couple of new levels and some bug fixes. We've also changed 6.13 since we've seen some players really struggling with it, but no worries it will probably reappear on world 7 or 8!
Patch notes: - Updated 6.8 to make sure players understand what it's trying to teach
- Added a new level on world 6 (6.14) and replaced 6.13 for an easier level
- Fixed issues with charging/bullets on Battle and Zones where some players could not get them
- Updated speedrun times of all 6 worlds to make them a bit easier, especially on lower tiers
- Updated world 5 boss(5.15) bullets to avoid exploits when there are many players
