Argus updated to v1.54
Argus has been updated to v1.54 today, the second upgrade this week.
The changes are about the new Lens Flares feature. The new update includes:
-Lens flares now have an alpha option, so now you can control their size AND intensity now.
-Changes to the Film Information window to fit the new feature.
Changes include:
-Improvements to half-rectangular dithering ("16-Bit").
-New triangular dithering ("16-Tri"). This dithers the full width of the sample twice, multiplied together like combining two dice rolls of a full-rectangular dither.
-Improvements to rounding accuracy when saving samples in 16-bit of any sort ("16-ND", "16-Bit", "16-Tri").
Full details of the update in the Readme.txt file.
The next SFXEngine release will be the Casino Sound Pack. A mix of card sounds, slot machine sounds, and things of that ilk.
Some Flatspace music news in the works. First, a sparkly new music pack for the first Flatspace game. This is the first new music pack for Flatspace since 2013. Some tracks, like the Opiad Variation and Superhighway, date from 2001 and have never been released anywhere.

SFXEngine Fantasy Sound Pack Released
The new SFXEngine Fantasy Sound Pack is released today. Developed for role playing and dungeon-style games, the Fantasy pack contains 75 sounds; a hefty selection of action sounds, eat/drink, pick-up and drop effects for items, dungeon style weapon effects, trap sounds, monster roar and attack effects, and some cave drips and other sounds useful for atmospheric ambience.
Supplied in SFXEngine project format. Easy use and modify, with lots of samples and modulators that are free to use and re-use. Far more flexible than a mere sample library.
Upgrades and new features to SFXEngine will continue throughout the year.
Happy Sound Making,

Welcome to SFXEngine v2.05, and Spring Sale Active
SFXEngine v2.05 is now live.
Two new engines in this update:
-Stone Compression is a mathematically ideal dynamic compressor. Compressors make loud sounds quieter and quiet sounds louder, and are most useful for equalising the volume of natural sounds like voices.
-Gothic Limiter will boost and limit the sound to a fixed Ceiling level, scaling everything between Floor and Sky to fit between Floor and Ceiling. Along with the Stone Compressor, this is another way to boost and equalise volume.
-The render format options, depth and stereo status are now stored between sessions.
-Plus a few smaller changes.
Details of the new engines in the manual, and full details of the update in the Readme.txt file.
SFXEngine and all of the Bolt-On DLC are currently on sale. The next SFXEngine release will be the Fantasy Sound Pack on 30th April.
The SFXEngine Spring Sale is now on with 20% off the core program. SFXEngine aims to be the fastest and simplest way to create sound effects and batch process wav files.
Something of a major update today, SFXEngine now works in 64-bit.
-Full conversion to 64-bit. This means a 10-20% speed increase and access to full memory footprint, permitting much larger projects.
-New V02 file format for projects and programs. V00 and V01 format files will import seamlessly. There are slight technical differences between formats due to improved timing accuracy with each subsequent format. As with every format change, files saved here won't load in older versions of SFXEngine.
-All engines recompiled in 64-bit and V02 format.
-Modulator maximum size increased to match the virtually unlimited maximum sample size.
-More preparations for multi-language support.
Full details in the Readme.txt file. The next SFXEngine release will be the Fantasy Sound Pack.
