Florensia Patchnotes 19.04.2021
we are happy to announce that with todays patch, a lof of issues with crashes during map changes should be a problem of the past. Thanks to the dedicated work of the QA team and an important hint from the team of Project Zin (for more information on the project, please join our official Discord), we were able to track down the source of many crashes.
This in turn meant that, for the biggest part, we were also able to fix those issues.
We are eager to receive your feedback and hope you will enjoy the patch as much as we do!

we are happy to announce that the bank is open again. A few things have changed. You will now have to select the item that you would like to transfer into the bank and then click the "keep" button at the bottom left of the bank window.

We have also activated the Lovely Dodos as well as the Cherry Blossom event. A little bit later than usual, we know, but given the circumstances we didn't want to leave it out completely.

[UPDATE] Important News!
Florensia is currently offline due to a fire at the datecenter where everything is hosted. Fortunately for us, the buildings in which the Florensia servers itself are hosted, were not affected. This means that all the data, including your characters, items etc. are safe.
However, all power and connections are currently cut, which means that we cannot access that data at this time. This in turn means that it will require some time before we can go back online.

Florensia Patchnotes 18.02.2021
With the third class balanced patch, we aimed for one of the most important aspects of every class: buffs. Our goal was the same as always: Create a system in which all skills are a viable option to use, albeit under different circumstances and for different builds.
With todays patch, the double EXP event has been activated on top of the already existing Tower event.
Skill and Status Reset
Also with this patch, you will be granted another free skill reset. Note that if you already had a free skill reset from last time, you will not get a second one.
We've also thrown in a Status Reset, as we now changed a lot of skills with our last three patches.
Class Changes
Noble
Sword of Spirit is one of the first skills you learn and forget about instantly since it's totally useless for magic classes - no Noble needs melee damage. We therefore changed it to give magic min and max attack, but at a lower rate than Magic Power (which only grants maximum magic attack).
Magic Boost is a great skill to boost the MP of fellow players, but for the amount of points you have to spend, it could be better. So we increased the amount of MP on each level.
Recharge in theory is a great skill to help your teammates get out a skill they desperately need to. But it just did not give enough mana to be worth it. It was also weird that you had to sacrifice less MP than you can recharge. To fix this, we increased the scaling and adjusted the mp costs accordingly.

Mercenary
Berserk only grants low values and has some really interesting mp costs for a buff (on max 871 ôo). We thought it would be intersting to try out a skill that has two sides - you get a tremendous amount of damage while losing defense. We are interested to see how this turns out!
Berserker allowed a Mercenary to be rather fast for just one skill point. If you want to be fast, you now have to invest. You also get a bit more damage for doing so.
Mercenary should be tanky, but a Gladiator should not be as tanky as a Guardian Swordsman. To shift this balance, we removed some defense from Shield Mastery and added it to Absolute Defense (see below: Guardian Swordsman).

Guardian Swordsman
With the recent changes, Mercenary lost 87 defense from Stone Skin. An dditional 205 defense from Shield Mastery will also be taken away from the Mercenary. To retain the Guardian swordsmans place as a tank, we added 300 extra defense in total to Absolute Defense.

Excavator
With only a 20s cooldown on Crimon Dust that lasts 15 seconds, Excavators only had a 5s time that they had to bridge to apply dust permanently (if they hit of course).
While we think that Excavators definitely need Crimson Dust as a damage source, having a 5 second gap between the skill running out and cooldown reset is too short. We therefore added 5 seconds to the cooldown, increasing the gap to 10 seconds.

The idea of Spirtual Power in theory is great, however, MP Recovery does not work while in combat, which rendered the skill nearly useless. We therefore decided to change it to a hitrate skill, like Hit Chain, but only for magic hitrate.
Blessing of Nature does give a lot of physical defense, which is a hard stat to balance. We therefore lowered the amount of physical defense by about 10% but added Magical Defense to it.
Thorn Trunk did not do what it should: root the enemy. We fixed this, but had to reduce the duration slightly to prevent it from being too strong.

Florensia patchnotes 29.01.2021
Todays patch removes the Christmas decoration as well as the double drop event and simultaneously brings back the tower event. However, there is something else that has been changed with this patch.
As some of you might be aware, there is currently a bug that allows players to duplicate items. While this issue only affects a small group of players, it is those players that have openly showed us their very ill intention to cause harm to Florensia and its community.
As we’ve mentioned many times before: We will eventually get all of them. However, it is an extremely tedious and time-consuming task. This is why we have decided, to temporarily close the bank.
This means that currently, you will only be able to retrieve items from the bank but unable to insert any. This is – for now, the intended behavior.
We have been working on solving this issue for the past months but this is unfortunately not a case of Florensias code being old, but rather an issue of old programs running on new hardware. I will spare you the details here and just say that we are close to implementing a solution, but require a bit more time to get it right.
We are fully aware of the implications that this brings and we want to apologize for the inconveniences that are caused by this update. We are however forced to act now, before the situation gets out of hand.
We are of course working fulltime and with our best efforts to solving this issue as quickly as possible and will keep you updated on the situation, as soon as we have any news.

[EVENT] Florensia Birthday
We have successfully left 2020 behind us. At this point we would like to take the opportunity to thank each and every one of you for your active participation in our events and your feedback. We have some big plans this year and start with the birthday event that accompanies Florensia every year.
On 23.01.2015 Florensia opened its doors for curious and adventurous people. This day, we want to celebrate together with you! Therefore we have three events for you. Baking a Florensia birthday cake, self-created videos and a specially created drawing on the theme of Florensia.
The great baking:
The Florensia team is looking for the most beautiful and delicious cakes that our adventurers can bake. Create a unique cake or pie. Our event team has many sweet tooths who will analyze your recipes and pictures. In order for us to know how you baked your cake, we ask you to include a recipe of the cake (if you don't want to share it, please contact us via Discord).

Your adventures in Florensia:
It has been 6 years since Florensia opened its doors again. We have experienced a lot together. Moments of love, of excitement, of adventures and also of fights. Grab your friends and record a video. The theme is "A day with my friends, in Florensia". Videos that consist of screenshots or contain screenshots are just as welcome, but the video cannot consist of just one screenshot. Also, a video without images, that is, consisting only of images and sound, will not be accepted.
The video should last at least one minute and at most five minutes (slight deviations are of course allowed). When submitting, feel free to use a YouTube link (if you don't want your video to be seen, please set it to private and then send us the link).
The big drawing:
As you know, we love drawings as much as you do. That's why we are looking forward to your drawings. The drawings should have Florensia and birthday specific content (e.g. a wurn or a dodo with a party hat) and are welcome both on paper and digitally.

We may post your submissions on Instagram, Discord, Facebook, or our website. By participating in the events, you explicitly agree to this. (If we want to use your creations for other press and/or public legal things, we will of course consult with you).
- We reserve the right not to evaluate content if we determine that little or no work has been put into the submission.
- Music that is under copyright is prohibited. Content that contains such music will not be accepted. Music that is included in Florensia is allowed. You can find it in the Florensia folder under Data and then on Sound. Music that you have created yourself, you can of course use.
- Everyone is welcome to participate once in each event to increase the chance of winning. However, a person can only win once in all events. (For example, if player 1 likes to bake and draw, he can submit both a cake and a drawing. Both looked wonderful, but he only won first place in baking).
- Stolen, discriminatory, racist, sexual or fake entries, will not be accepted.

- Please send us pictures of your baking creations, the videos, your drawings, your FanArts or all together, by Monday, 14/02/2021 at 00:00 CET (UTC +1).
